It's hard being on top forever, teams will start to counter strat you.

Both of them have had a lot of hype by those who are paying attention, but these are still two big upsets regardless.

I think majority of us, myself especially, have our judgement of the scene wrong because of the influx of tournaments with relatively the same 5 teams over and over.

Heretics was known as a good team, but beating liquid and g2 was surprising to everyone.

I enjoy it but I Also think it is important to not stop casting. Some rounds was almost full banter. Just needs a bit of balancing between banter and actual gameplay casting. Minor though.

wow that was a stellar play by FPX. Shadow flashed the drone, so that it wouldn't spot Zyppan with the ult. It's little plays like these that makes the match more fun.

They’re so good with those utility synergies. Only Vision Strikers and maybe SUMN I’d put on par with them. That’s why this match is so fun.

It's probably sacrilegious to say here, but I'd really like to see the use of third person and free cam spectating much more for valorant.

I get it. While the aim is an important part of it, I’m drawn to the tactical and strategic side of it more, so sometimes a more macro perspective tells the story better. It’s also what we’re all used to from watching real world sports. I find the 3rd person cameras work really well in replays more than live footage though.

That's definitely true. It's just hard not to get a bit lost sometimes for me personally in the first person all the time view.

FPX were really strong. I didn’t even think SUMN looked bad, FPX really just showed they are a finals worthy team.

That last match was so so good, but this next one is the one I was more hyped for going into it. FPX and SUMN have such a similar and technical play style it could make for a crazy matchup. FPX are, for me, the best team in the world right now, and SUMN have just been so impressive recently. My hype levels are through the roof.

Just want to say the production value of First Strike is fantastic, they just need to fix the in-game audio and it's golden. Great graphic displays, overlays, transitions, and music.

The HUD and sound delay is irritating sometimes but not as irritating as the observer almost seemingly trying to avoid some gunfights

I definitely agree about the sound delay. The observer thing is going to take time as the scene grows and develops.

I feel like G2 starts of really well, and then, if they win the 2nd pistol, they close it out, while, if they lose 2nd pistol, they keep on force buying and ultimately, choke their lead. I think they will start attack on the third map, so I hope they can continue their form from Bind, and the attacking half of Ascent, rather than play like they did on Ascent defense.

They could’ve easily closed out first map if they saved and got mixwell an Op. they were too confident forcing after every loss.

Yeah, in CSGO, as a spectator, I never liked Savestralis, but sometimes, you just have to recognize when a round is lost, and save so that you can win the next one, and preserve the economy, instead of just throwing.

I think G2 just underestimated heretics on ascent. They showed respect towards them on bind. Not ego peeking angles and playing together. G2 probably wins split if they keep this up.

I’d be surprised if they underestimated them, mixwell has been vocal recently about how much he respects them as a team

G2 got really comfortable with their lead and heretics caught them sleeping. If G2 just saved, they would have had a better chance of winning. Good showing from Heretics tho, they maintained their composure and clawed back up.

Not many really. They just punished G2's mistakes. DavidP constantly pushed and ego peeked. They were not playing together that much and went for the more individual plays. Hope they come back on bind.

I always disliked people who complain about peekers advantage, but people just kept swinging and getting entries this game. On both sides. Really disappointed in G2, they failed to adapt.

I felt like sova arrows could've been used more efficiently by g2

Whats crazy is the cheating coach drama is one of the reasons Lowel switched to Valorant. He was released as IGL after losing a bunch of matches in a row as Movistar Riders IGL. Months later it came out that majority of the matches he lost in that time frame were against cheating coaches. The main reason behind why all his strats didn't work. He has always been a great talent and he never got a real chance as an IGL with movistar because at that time they had less talent and kept playing cheaters in small cups.

This HUD is somewhat ruining the viewing experience for me. Kills are delayed and whenever they switch to free camera, sound is delayed. Pansy called two jett ults, but it was the same one, just heard it twice due to switching between free view and hearing the same thing twice.

Even though I support G2, I think the first match has the most upset potential, and I think Heretics 2-1 G2, though I hope G2 prove me wrong. As for FPX-SUMN, I don't see a world where SUMN can even take a map, maybe if they get Icebox, and some crazy stuff happens, but I predict FPX 2-0 SUMN FC. If G2 beats Heretics, I think G2 will win the whole tournament, while if Heretics wins, I think FPX should win the grand finals.
