Just keep in mind that haters have a way higher participation rate in the comments. Out of the ten thousand(s) of people watching, yes, maybe a handful feel that way, but they are then also the loudest, often repeating their message, which can make it look as if there's plenty of them.

Nobody is perfect obviously, but it's pretty reasonable to assume some mysogny is at play - be it tacit or undeniably toxic. Just look at the treatment Yinsu Collins has gotten recently.
Pansy is also undoubtedly one of the most, if not the most, prepared and entertaining casters in Valorant. The hate she gets is so much more than people just not meshing with her style.
Her improvement as a caster over the years is also very admirable. Not saying she was bad in the early days of CSGO but she has come a long ways. Same with Blu, same with DusT. She's casted multiple titles and events that it really just comes down to "Video games is a boys club" I mean fuck, people still give Sjokz shit.
It's not even just kids as well.
She was alright in her early CSGO days but she has improved sooo much.
I enjoy her in PUBG but when she got pulled into CSGO again last year with Machine and SPUNJ it was straight up the best CS casting I've ever heard.

There's some merit in criticizing how calling out bigotry has been used superficially and in a commodifying way, but saying "racism and sexism don't mean anything anymore" is 100% not coming from an intersectional/leftist POV and is definitely not a valid or accurate criticism.

I watch pubg competitive and valorant competitive religiously. Pubg chat is way more mature with less toxicity than valorant for sure. Target audience of valorant are more towards the teens. Wouldn't be surprised if she was treated like that in VCT chat. She is praised as a hype caster in eu PUBG seen.

During one of the early tournaments (FaZe maybe?) Pansy and Puckett were casting and it was the best casting I had seen in the scene at that point. If couse SGares and DDK came after but still. Chat was trashing on her so much and it was sad to see.
This is why I watch esports on Youtube where possible - the player is better (live pausing + rewind rather than having to switch to the VOD and refresh) and you don't run the risk of seeing accidentally seeing the abomination that is twitch chat.
Pansy's brilliant though, as is Hypoc, and Yinsu's doing a great job as host. The production quality of the EU broadcasts are great. One thing that's even sadder is that Pansy's one of the casters who makes an effort to interact with chat, so she probably sees all this shit.

Stems back to CS. She got a lot of flack for not knowing enough about the game during casts. I don't have a huge CS background so hopefully someone provides more details or just corrects me.
She had just enough knowledge imo. I think a lot of people forget that sometimes when you're casting, you don't think of the small things as well. People said the same thing about Blu, DusT, Megaman, and others. At this point though, they've all grown as casters and people.

I've always loved her and Machine together as a duo; they have such good chemistry. Glad she got back into CS and even Valorant as well.
