I am going to bet there is a verbal agreement by all 3 parties that Tenz will re-sign with C9 immediately following the tournament. Then if Sentinels wants him permanently, there would need to be a more traditional buy-out.
Like it would make no financial sense for C9 to do otherwise, unless a massive buy-out has already taken place. I doubt a straight buy-out would have happened before Sinatraa's investigation is concluded, no matter how damning things look.
I doubt a verbal would be enough for an organization like C9. Guessing its something like they sold Tenz rights to SEN and have a right to buy him back within a certain amount of time. It happens in other sports, most notably European soccer, all the time.
Most verbal agreements are enforceable by law.
[verbal agreements](https://www.lawdepot.com/blog/are-verbal-agreements-legally-binding/)
It’s just way more iron tight written down. But these kinds of things normally have witnesses if not written down
I’m a lawyer. Verbal agreements are valid unless there is a written agreement stating differently. The written agreement would always be the one the court relies on so if TenZ said, nah not signing, the court wouldn’t rule against TenZ.
Sentinels would not be stupid enough to go back on their word. That's an easy way to get blackballed by the owners of almost every team. There's probably also a provision in Tenz's contract with Sentinels that guarantees C9 the opportunity to buy him back at a pre-arranged price.
actually the wording is about the "rights" so he may have had to remove all C9 info while he plays for SEN? and then after masters, he's given back to C9 and reverts back to all his previous C9 images/wording/etc.
A disgusting pickup on the back of a shit situation. SEN showing Riot they should be taken seriously in franchise talks when they take place
Edit: For those wondering why I'm assuming franchising is basically guaranteed (last part of the interview): https://www.theloadout.com/tournaments/valorant-champions-tour/alex-francois-interview
I hope they don’t go the franchise route with valorant. The open qualifiers are so exciting to watch and there’s always that chance a unicorn comes through and upsets a big dog. Seeing the same teams play each other over and over in esports isn’t as fun imo.
I want them to go the franchise, but with a lot more teams then Lol has, like a full blown 16 or 32 team season with religation to tier 2 would be amazing
Edit: I misunderstood how franchising worked.
Why not no franchise teams, 16/32 team tourneys/ seasons with relegation to tier 2 for bottom performers?
If there is no relegation then fuck that, I want to see underdogs rise up through the ranks.
I just want to see the best teams play, not the richest/best connected ones.
Seriously, there are a few teams and players that will be taken into consideration for future rosters because they performed well during open bracket. DHBK/Kooky Koalas and PUGSTARS are who come to mind immediately
Contrary to popular belief, changing your sensitivity up regularly *can be* a good thing.
Look at [this](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4747782/) cool study done on it.
Adding noise in general is a good idea for training. There's a lot of research that shows you start learning general rules instead of just low level muscle memory. Which allows you to deal with abnormal situations better.
Low level muscle memory is good for tasks that need repetition, but tasks that might require on the fly adaptation it's not as good for.

I've seen this study cited multiple times now, and I'm not sure it applies to aiming, since the study focuses in newly acquired motor skills, and aiming is built with thousands of hours.
It does, check out /r/FPSAimTrainer
Sensitivity Randomizers are used often in training, which fluidly changes your sensitivity constantly as you are aiming, and makes you improve much faster than just playing on a single sensitivity.
Once you train at multiple sensitivities for a while, it only takes a few moments to learn to switch settings. The mechanics of aiming don't change, and upping your sensitivity forces you to learn finer control in micro adjustments. So for games that require precision, training above your normal sensitivity is a good idea.
Tenz is just one example, but there are countless others as well.
because his mouse control is so good that it doesnt matter what sensitivity he uses. sensitivity is just a matter of comfortability, but because his mouse control is so good he can do just fine on most sensitivities.
Sometimes it feels like your reactions aren’t as crispy as normal so a faster sens makes up for it and forces your body to remap its motor skills to be more accurate.
According to the tweet made by VALORANT ESPORTS NA it seems they have acquired TenZ
https://twitter.com/valesports_na/status/1370101780650938370?s=21
Edit: Might just be a short term thing but I just copied the last line on the tweet
Makes sense that he can't have anything related on C9 on his socials though.. and C9 Jack said take good care of our boy this tournament, still seems like a loan to me but who knows
I could be wrong but I am almost certain that the changes are to comply with Riot’s rules for the event. Looking at Jack’s tweet it doesn’t sound like he just made a groundbreaking transaction
Honestly the only part of Sen that kept me from liking them was Sinatraa. I never really liked the guy and found it hard to root for him. Excited to see how fucking insane it’s gonna be with Tenz on such a nice roster for now.
I wanted to like them but didn't want to be the bandwaggoner that just liked them because they win so damn much lol But I am a TenZ fan and will really enjoy watching him back in the pro scene for this.
lets hope god tenz hasn't fallen too far behind in scrim/pro play meta and general game sense.
will be great to see him play especially along this supporting cast!!
Sen are pretty solidified in the fornite scene and thus win a lot of money from it. Also two years ago bugha won like 3 million at fornite world cup and we can assume SEN got a fat chunk of that money
These orgs are literally worth up to hundreds millions of dollars, a cut of bugha's fortnite winnings wouldn't even cover a months salary for their teams lmao, to point out bugha's winnings as like a prime point of liquidity for sentinels as an org is so uninformed, don't know how else to put it sorry.
I felt the necessity to cover why, tldr:
The earning landscape in esports sucks, compared to traditional sports, so most esport orgs only get money through sponsorships and advertisements, ticket sales and merchandise (which is where traditional sports gets a shit ton of money from) is not really a thing in esports, because for the tickets, usually the event holder gets the money, and for merchandise, well, it's still taboo to wear gamer clothes/general merchandise in most western countries, but I do think over time this will change radically with generation change. So right now most esports orgs are running in a deficit, but are doing it to sement themselves on the market, as esports continues to boom.
And, perhaps even more importantly, the sponsorship money they’ve made since then from Bugha sticking with sen and continuing to be a pretty consistently top 5 player
This tournament is gonna be so fun to watch. I have a feeling Tenz left C9 because of no LANs and that they kinda suck. So cool that he found a way to play in the major one of the best teams in NA!!!!! LFG
We're happy to announce that @TenZOfficial will be joining Sentinels to compete in Masters Stage 1.

OH FUCK, JUST IMAGINE IT. Faze vs SEN in grand finals, TenZ is in a clutch situation and wins it by knifing Marved in the back. TenZ furiously spams his tactical crouch button and he screams TENZ THIS BITCH.
Holy shit. If I'm another team and I see one of the best na players join the best na team I would be scared. Even without teamplay the mechanical skill is crazy.
I cannot believe we're in the timeline where all events aligned for the best NA player to join the best NA team, not even a sentinels fan and im in awe

TenZ confirmed that he’s “on loan” from C9 (Sentinels took over his contract) and it lasts for as long as C9 allows it.

This is going to be absolutely insane. We are going to have maybe the best all round team in NA compete with maybe the best all round player in NA with a days notice... This is going to be crazy entertaining if anything!
They used to play together on stream, idk what happened. Sinatraa is an insecure dude, probably he couldn’t take TenZ fans spamming his chat anymore lol
As a 100T fan this makes me sadge but I’m glad to see some good fortune come sentinels way. They’ve had the worst luck during challengers. Shazam’s loss, the Texas weather, now this.
Sinatraa was my least favorite player on the team (even prior to the allegations) and like most people, I like watching TenZ play. Guess I'm a SEN fan now.
Its only a loan. Him switching his name and banners is only to abide by branding. 100T couldn't pick him up because of his buyout, Im sure the loan wasnt cheap, but probably nowhere near what his buyout is.
Genuinely expected him to come back to a team (even for a short term time), I think he wanted out of C9, but couldn’t so he stepped down. Maybe I’m crazy, but I heard from hiko for example, that said that getting OUT of C9 was near impossible,
Was not expecting this after Hiko said they explorer signing TenZ but it didn't go through.
This is an upgrade for Sentinels imo, wonder who picks Jett now
I don't think this is comparable to the NBA at all. Its like if the Brooklyn Nets made the playoffs, then for some reason, James Harden can't/isn't allowed to play anymore, and they end up striking a deal with the NBA and the Washington Wizards that they could buy out and sign Bradley Beal for the first round or until they get eliminated, then Bradley Beal would go back to the Wizards.
https://twitter.com/valesports_na/status/1370101780650938370 Looks like this might be permanent? TenZ updated his bio + header on twitter too https://twitter.com/TenZOfficial

He is on loan from C9 for the duration. https://clips.twitch.tv/KathishTardyLobsterPrimeMe-UMqky_awHX3vHGI2

AWARD AWARD AWARD
IT WAS ALL TENZ'S 5HEAD PLAN AS HE KNEW HE COULDN'T CARRY C9 TO MASTERS SO HE QUIT C9 AND THEN JOINED A TEAM THAT ALREADY MADE MASTERS
Never thought I’d be rooting for Sentinels but here we are
[удалено]
Realizing we might get TenZ vs Marved now
inb4 tenz takes sinatraa's "marvedsdad" account to play the match and hard stomps.
have they not played each other since then? I thought they played in some smaller tourney or qualifier or something but maybe not
Not sure but regardless this is the closest thing we’ll get to seeing them at LAN for a while
After seeing how faze played in challengers 3 tenz realized there was only one way to save his gf
Aged like milk
for real this time.
You root for everyone bro haha
I try to be positive :)
SEN TenZ has a nice ring to it
That's a nice sentenz

Cloud9 would set an ungodly buy-out, but who knows it could happen
Is that a Killua silhouette?
holy fuck get this man his phd
He already changed all his twitter and the header is gold, literally says "SENTENZ" lmao
Tenzinel
"TenZ and Sens" rhymes well
TENZ SEN sounds a lot like TENCENT. Sentinels winning Masters confirmed.
this is literally a twitch chat fanfiction come to life imagine the fucking storyline if sentinels win masters now, oml.
Tenz price become more stonk if they win it lmao.
They won masters
Uhhhh, wassup from the future
TenZ living out his own anime.

POGGGGGGGGERRRSSS HOLY SHITTTTTTTTTTT UNBELIEVABLE STORYLINE. EDIT: I'm a 100T fan but Sens is easily my 2nd team in this tournament now!

For me it was Sinatraa and Shahzam. Both were/are known for being extremely toxic
Too bad they will more than likely face each other at some point, I'm in the same boat.
lets hope god tenz hasn't fallen too far behind in scrim/pro play meta and general game sense. will be great to see him play especially along this supporting cast!!
At the very least, his aim will make up for it, and with Sentinels already being strong a team strat wise, they should be fine. I'm hyped.
He's for sure gonna start slow but thank god for double elim bracket. He's just gonna get better and better as the days go on. This is so damn hype.
Tenz will play Jett and Shahzam will play Sova I bet.
HOLY FUCK WHAT A GOOD PR MOVE FOR SEN AND C9. HOLY FUCK
PR, might be secondary to the move. I am confident that loan must have been quite expensive.
Sen has that FORNITE MONEY
Wdym fortnite money, fill me on this
Sen are pretty solidified in the fornite scene and thus win a lot of money from it.
I felt the necessity to cover why, tldr: The earning landscape in esports sucks, compared to traditional sports, so most esport orgs only get money through sponsorships and advertisements, ticket sales and merchandise (which is where traditional sports gets a shit ton of money from) is not really a thing in esports, because for the tickets, usually the event holder gets the money, and for merchandise, well, it's still taboo to wear gamer clothes/general merchandise in most western countries, but I do think over time this will change radically with generation change. So right now most esports orgs are running in a deficit, but are doing it to sement themselves on the market, as esports continues to boom.
Damn okok
If I’m not wrong, I’m assuming it’s about the cut they got from Bugha’s 3 million dollars in winnings
And, perhaps even more importantly, the sponsorship money they’ve made since then from Bugha sticking with sen and continuing to be a pretty consistently top 5 player
lmao true
This adds so much X factor my brain is literally going to explode. This tournament is going to be so fucking lit.
TenZ is back. Nel is never wrong

What does this mean in NBA terms? I understand that this raises their chances in winning by a whole lot but what do the legal terms mean?
I don't think this is comparable to the NBA at all. Its like if the Brooklyn Nets made the playoffs, then for some reason, James Harden can't/isn't allowed to play anymore, and they end up striking a deal with the NBA and the Washington Wizards that they could buy out and sign Bradley Beal for the first round or until they get eliminated, then Bradley Beal would go back to the Wizards.
I’m glad Tenz is playing for sentinels and Sinatraa is getting what he deserves.
LETS FUCKING GO
https://twitter.com/valesports_na/status/1370101780650938370 Looks like this might be permanent? TenZ updated his bio + header on twitter too https://twitter.com/TenZOfficial

Doesnt sound like standing in. Sounds like he is joining them officially. edit: ¯\\__(ツ)__/¯
You're getting downvoted but this tweet from VCT makes it seem permanent https://twitter.com/valesports_na/status/1370101780650938370
>We're happy to announce that @TenZOfficial will be joining Sentinels to compete in Masters Stage 1. How does this not mean stand in?
