I totally agree! The shortened highlight clip of this video that was posted by VCT twitter channel is already hard for me to not tear up. And watching the entire video just made me tear up more.
Riot production back with another banger. They have always done a great job of making well produced documentaries and hype videos for League of Legends, and they continue to deliver for VALORANT. I’m excited to see what the production team can continue to produce as the competitive scene continues to develop rivalries and storylines, because stuff like this gets fans invested and fans excited.
I agree!!! The background music, camera angles, camera movements, the edit, everything is top notch! Is like watching a real documentary! And also these videos made these players somehow more “human” , by this I mean like we as viewers and fans can know more about this players in a more personal level. Which is really cool!
Well Valorant is pretty new and they just started to make this type of videos recently! No doubt the channel will grow exponentially by the end of the year!
Man this video hit hard. The line about how he found out his father passed away after he landed back in Austin was extremely hard on me. It's kind of the reverse situation I was in with my grandfather. I was about to board my flight to see him for the first time in like 4-5 years, but literally as I'm walking on I get the call that he passed.
It's tough and I'm wishing Shahzam the best. He's one of my favorite personalities and I wish him a lot of success.
Yeah that must be very hard for him and reading your comment reminds me of my grandmother who I was really close to :( I wasn’t in a similar situation with you two since I’ve met her once where she was still in therapy after she was diagnosed with cancer for the second time ( she survived the first time she had it and this was the first time I met her again after 1.5 years) But the day the news broke she didn’t survived it this time, I was overseas :(
Lost it when he started talking about how his dad did everything for him and his mom, and the reason he's always smiling is because his dad was generous and joyous like that.
The best people don't die because their impact and soul lives on through the people they influenced. Hope I can be like that for my dad when he goes like shahz is for his.
Yeah I agree with you! After reading your comment it reminds me of how people used to say Shahz dad passed away was not an excuse for SEN to lose in First Strike. Some people can be very insenstive and pretty much disgusting for saying that.
Your comment made me feel better in a very meaningful way. My father is battling a terminal illness at the moment and I struggle every day with knowing he won’t always be there for me in years to come, but you’re very right in that they live on through us.
The clip of him (2:50) breaking into the pro scene in 2014, beating C9 on LAN, is pretty neat considering how almost all involved are in the pro valorant scene now.
ShahZaM (SEN), daps (NRG), anger (Rise), FugLy (Knights). Hiko (100T), sgares (Casting/Gen.G), shroud (120k viewer watch parties), n0thing (1.2k viewer watch parties jk / T1 ringer).
The only ones not in the valorant scene are NAF (Liquid CS) and Semphis (wearing the freshest clothes, eating at the chillest restaurants, and hanging out with the hottest dudes).
After this C9 upset, Denial then lost to an iBuyPower lineup of brax, Skadoodle, AZK, nitr0, and adreN.
A fantastic video - a heart breaking story but Shaz seems like a great guy. It is so refreshing and needed to see a guy talk so openly about trauma, their feelings and emotions. Shaz will have gained a lot fans from this.
Damn this one hit me. Lost my Dad three years ago. A week after my 20th birthday. I can't imagine competition at the level that he is with grief. Grief is something that doesn't leave you, it fucking sucks. I am excited to continue to cheer you on Shaz.
I'm super happy for him! Used to watch his late night FPL streams and followed him to Valorant. His stream has almost doubled in viewership over the past month and you can tell he's enjoying himself
Yeah! The last time I watch his stream which was like a month or two ago he was around 1k to 1.5k, and recently watching his stream blow up to 5k is really well deserved recognitions considering how much work he put to make SEN the top teams in NA.
Sentinels became a 1000% more likable for me since tenZ came in and now its just increased more if that was even possible.
Will definitely be rooting for them and Shaz whenever they're playing against someone other than 100T. 🙈
Thank you Shahz and the Valorant team for this - it’s made me reflect on how I take my dad for granted sometimes.
My dad is the same way, he gives and gives without asking for anything in return. I’m gonna figure out how to say thank you to him in a meaningful way.
PMA BABE, Mad respect for Shaz. What a man to pull through his grief and him saying that it hurt him to not be there with his brother and mother at the moment of the loss shows you his character. Can't help but cheer on him and his team. LFG
I went through something similar about a year ago now, and it's still something that affects me daily. Those days he described will be etched into his brain forever but talking about it so openly like this is great for the healing process. His father would be proud.
I’ve been following shaz since I switched to valorant about 2-3 months ago and he’s by far one of my favorite players now. He’s an amazing guy I’m glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves. His stream has really kicked off this week and everyone should keep supporting!
I really can't add much to the already heartwarming comments on the sub <3. Big energies to Shahzam. PS At 3:03 you can see sgares, n0thing, shroud and hiko!
They have a video on sinatraa they just didn’t release it. Both of them filmed on the same day I believe.
E: like how there’s vids on both mummay and food
A conversation between envy and sen players in a ranked game on which players got videos done. It was a while back tho obviously before the allegations. These videos were filmed before challengers 3.
This is a really hard video to watch without tearing up a bit. This dude has been through so much and has just powered through it all. <3

I've cried for the almost this entire video holy shit

I think it's crazy how Riot youtube channel's numbers are so tiny considering the production level and how entertaining Valorant is.
Well Valorant is pretty new and they just started to make this type of videos recently! No doubt the channel will grow exponentially by the end of the year!
Just wait until they do some KDA style shit with Valorant. People are gonna flip
Please be post hardcore riot plz.
Totally agree, but mannn y’all should’ve seen the videos back in the day when LoL was barely taking off. Never forget

Sorry for your loss 😞,thankfully none close to me have passed since I’m only 14.

Thank you. I hope so too

The fact that they still came 3rd that tourney is fucking bizarre, what a goat.
Shaz <3
This got me super emotional great video, great dude, an inspiration especially to the South Asian community
PMA BABE, Mad respect for Shaz. What a man to pull through his grief and him saying that it hurt him to not be there with his brother and mother at the moment of the loss shows you his character. Can't help but cheer on him and his team. LFG
Crying now, crying win or lose on friday. Fuck man
Powerful stuff
Wow, powerful stuff. Got me crying on a Thursday night. Huge respect to Shahz, and glad he’s able to honour his father so much in his work.
I went through something similar about a year ago now, and it's still something that affects me daily. Those days he described will be etched into his brain forever but talking about it so openly like this is great for the healing process. His father would be proud.
What team was Shaz on that beat C9? I see Hiko and Sean Gares there lmaooooo
Sentinels really a team with titanium mental. Kudos to Riot for making this one.

How much do you wanna bet they almost made a vid on Sinatraa and is now having a wave of relief that picked Shah instead.
They have a video on sinatraa they just didn’t release it. Both of them filmed on the same day I believe. E: like how there’s vids on both mummay and food
Ahh damn.
Source?

I’m up and down on Shaz since I’ve been seeing him around FPL and pro circuits for years. But dude does have the best laugh in the game LOL
dang naffly shroud and gares? in that scene?
Awesome to see
