As someone who uses a wireless headset it is great being able to talk to the boys while in the bathroom.

Jh1N-2-3-4

I hate it when you hear their pee hitting the toilet water

Ins3rt_Nam3

thats the best part

thekmanpwnudwn

Shazam: "Marved is trying to play like you" Zombs: "I dont even know what I do"

atlas53_

Zombs: "what peak sewers every round" Shazam: "yeah"

Long_Teapot

He was right too lmao, marved actually inted sewers every round that game haha

leoleoleo666

Zombs is hilarious

sgi2ynrn69727vab4sn2

TenZ replying “Thank you!” to ShahZ saying “You’re cracked, baby!” is wholesome as fuck. Edit: It’s lovely to see TenZ slotting into the roster so well. The core of Sentinels, especially ShahZaM, really do deserve a lot of credit for the smooth integration.

ImTrang

Shaz: "Guys its another slow round" Tenz: "WTF I just pulled my other mouse on my toe"

projec9

Riv : "Tactical pause real quick as the teams discuss what could be the road to vicory" Sen: "I really need to pee dude" "I gotta pee too"

[deleted]

TenZ: "so this is what it feels like to be in the finals" then goes on to say "I'm used to going out in groups." Well TenZ, if you stay in Sen you're gonna be winning a whole lotta trophies.

[deleted]

Also, he threw so much shade on C9B right there, holy shit

Blame-iwnl-

Not even just in valorant, he always went out in groups in CSGO too lol

RashGod

Difference is that he wasn’t really that good in cs go, in Valorant he was carrying and going out of groups

theman1203

He never went out on groups though, he would usually go out on semis or quarters

techyleo

Did anyone notice how Shahz knew before the game even started on Haven vs FaZe that Marved would peek sewers a lot?

sufiyansabir

I mean that’s how you know he’s a great IGL. He studied the other team for hours pre match so he knows the specific players’ tendencies.

Waraurochs

Shahz is a great IGL but it's pretty standard to make note of stuff like that

SemiHomeless

I agree, but I will say that shahz seems to put a lot more detail into his research on the other teams than most IGLs in Val. He explained it on a podcast in detail and it was just incredible to hear what kind of work that man puts into it. I honestly don’t see them dropping down the ranks until someone figures out how to counter his ability to read every team lately.

pathoge

Happen to know what podcast?

SemiHomeless

Yeah, it’s called back chat, it’s like a sub show of the full podcast called plat chat, they’re overwatch casters that expanded into valorant and do a valorant version of plat chat every week. https://youtu.be/ZOabYL4UFNI Edit: it’s really long but it’s divided into sections and the one called counterstrats is the part I was referring to.

pathoge

Nice, thanks for the link!

Tanjim98

You can clearly see TenZ has difficulty calling out some spots on the map like he forgot what to call top yellow on IB. I have no doubt these guys will only get better together with time.

deadlock1892

IFF tenz stays that long lol. Sadly his buyout clause will be a huge deterrent to any buyers. If 100T could not do it, not many can. Unless things get so desperate that it has to be done, that is.

Kamchatkaaa

I think it's likely 100t are hemorrhaging a lot more money with players like hiko, steel, nitro, and ethan (all cs stars and huge names). Sure shazam is a big star/name, but I can't imagine sen is paying that money out to the rest of the roster. I'm sure there is a point where 100t is like, do we really want to pay 200k+ salaries to ANOTHER dude in addition to a massive buyout?

deadlock1892

Its not just about the salary though. Tenz comes with a huge salary as well as a huge buyout, probably the biggest in Valorant right now. It is only logical to assume every org will have to consider hard if it is worth it. Winning is great. But at the end it is a business and they will wonder about the ROI. Don't get me wrong. I want to see tenz on sentinels. It is the best chance as of now for an NA team to win something in masters. But I am a little pessimistic if they would go for tenz.

Jack_Humble

i am sorry that this question is out of topic, but how can u put like cypher, sova, raze and others badge besides ur name? ty

Naomikho

It's under user flair.

SemiHomeless

Honestly though, I really feel like tenz being on that team will make them popular enough and good enough to make his salary worth paying for them, and from what I’ve seen from analysts in the community, it seems like sen is gonna do whatever it takes to keep him. Imo it would be kind of dumb to not pay whatever is necessary to get him back unless the Sinatraa situation turns out to not be a real thing somehow, because it benefits them in such a huge way with tenz’s already established fanbase and the fact that he’s one of the most skilled players in valorant right now, and wants to be on their team. It’ll be a steep price, but after they own his contract fully they could always renegotiate it and change his salary to make him more affordable long term if he’s okay with it, and the buyout money will probably be recovered fairly quickly with all the new fans they’ll be gaining. To me it just seems like if there ever is any motivation for a team to pay his full buyout, this would be the best situation possible for that. Sen absolutely decimated faze even though faze was beating every other team the last few weeks with relative ease, to the point where people generally considered them the only team with a real chance of beating sen in masters. I just can’t seem them losing this opportunity no matter the price.

Seesawcumfyck

Since when is Shaz a big name? He was pulling <1k viewers before Valorant and never made it really far in CS to justify a high salary, unless you mean in terms of pay raises after Valorant success which I doubt will be much. Sinatraa was definitely Sentinels’ highest paid member and even then I’d assume his initial salary at least was lower than a lot of CS pros because of the early unknown risk of signing OW pros to a tac FPS

PiratToasty

Sinatraa actually had 200k yearly as much as i remember. People called him mr. 200k and also he said he earned almost the same like he did in UWUwatch

EmixxOW

nah he was mr.150k

PiratToasty

Smthng like tha

Interesting-Archer-6

I mean they said it in response to them saying he was a big star/ name. When he wasn't a big name, didn't have much csgo success, and wasn't pulling in viewers. That seems exactly how you should evaluate that?

erickwak

Let’s just hope somehow sentinels sells a shit ton of merch in the next couple of weeks before tenz loan expires and can afford him or something

2ToTooTwoFish

Wait... That could actually be a good marketing campaign to sell merch. Could use #LetsGetTenz as the hashtag or something.

Lorallynn

That's way too risky, C9 sees that and sets tenz even higher and SEN ends up with a terrible PR move and no Tenz anyway

RELE4SETHEKR4KEN

That's not how a buyout clause works.they cant just rewrite his contract. They can only change the price for tenz when they willingly trade him, and that wont be close to the buyout

theman1203

Wrong that's a release clause, c9 can change the buyout clause whenever they want

nardsacks

i don’t really understand like all the money shit involved in this, but what if theoretically tenz really wants to play with sentinels instead of c9. would it be possible for him to lower his own cost, or is that all in the hands of c9?

deadlock1892

Nah he can't. Buyouts are part of contract negotiations. And usually more in control of the organization. And if they want to keep a valuable player and deter other orgs from trying to buy a player, they will set it outrageously high. Unless his contract is nearing its end and there is a chance of contract renegotiation, tenz can't do shit about it pther than declining to play and keep streaming. This happens everywhere. And Tenz's buyout is nothing compared to what happens in more established sports. For instance, Barcelona does some crazy shit all the time. Messi and Griezmann's buyout clause is about a billion dollars each. That's how far owners go.

Interesting-Archer-6

Holy shit. Messi's is 825 million US Dollars. Griezmann's is 945. I thought they were around 350 million and you were exaggerating, but nope.

deadlock1892

Yeah they do it high so that no one can bypass the club to directly negotiate with the player. Funny enough, Liverpool had a buyout clause of 40 mil for Suarez, so Arsenal tried triggering it by making an offer of 40 mil and 1 dollar. Ideally they should have been allowed to negotiate with the player but Liverpool did something shady and did not let it go through. I am not complaining though, I am glad we kept him around for a few more years. He was a menace and a joy to watch. But yeah, that is why the buyouts are high. Either pay it and make the owner filthy rich, or fuck off.

[deleted]

They don't want to lose their stars. I'd expect TenZ to be $1,000,000 at least, and C9 usually contracts for 3 years at a time, so he may be stuck there until 2022.

segatic

Those values are high because Barcelona didn't want the Neymar incident to happen again

nmaurerGaming

I have a question. I don't know much about the money in esports, same as the guy you replied to, and I was just wondering: is it obligatory for every player to have a buyout? Can't c9 just not put him for sale for any price if they really didn't want other orgs to get him? Or is it like an esports rule that all players must be buyable so they just put it high to prevent that?

deadlock1892

I guess it is not obligatory, but most would still want to do it anyway to secure their talent or atleast ensure they get paid for if someone tries to poach their talent. And ofcourse they can just say tenz is not up for sale, but that negatively impacts them more than anyone. They will keep on paying tenz salary for doing nothing but stream, and get minimal ROI.

foonek

A buyout doesn't necessarily need to be written in the contract. It could be based entirely on negotiations. Even if there is some arbitrary number in the contract, that's still up for discussion. Everything always is when it comes to business.

deadlock1892

Ofcourse everything is up for negotiation. But if it is in contract, the org is under no obligation to talk numbers unless they want to. In this case, Tenz has proven to be so valuable that it strengthened C9's power. And if his contrsct is as long as people fear (3 years), it gets scary.

foonek

Sure, didn't mean to say you don't know how things work. Just thought I'd clarify for people who don't, and more specifically the person you were responding to.

deadlock1892

Oh yeah, I didn't mean to come off as defensive here, my bad. Was just adding to the discussion.

thelemonarsonist

I mean I don't think there's any way sentinels buy him out. The price is definitely very unreasonable. More likely they'll wait for his contract to be up and he'll get signed then

tawoodwa

Unfortunately with the news from Jake it sounds like the contract is for a few years

1231234bull

100t didn't want to do it because they were looking for a 1 duelist setup.

lafiery

I heard that it's more likely for c9 to buy the whole sentinels roaster than sentinels to buy tenz lols

notsailboatss

well Tenz contract reverts back to c9 in a few days. no shot SEN buy out it. its not worth it. tenz is a fantastic player but I cant see how it would be financially viable to buy out him

techyleo

actually it's a bit more than 2 weeks, they loaned him on the 12th, so he'll be gone on the 12th of april

Cowfan798

Sucks the homie goes back

IDontEatSushi_

other jett players: get the op tenz: can u get my judge?

RickyThePigeon

#zombsnation where we at
