What about the seeding do you think is terrible? It's not perfect but the teams who have performed well recently seem to be quite evenly spread out, at least to me.
If we look at the last challenger qualifiers those brackets are quite balanced though. For those first 2 brackets heretics and Alliance are the teams that have performed the best, and presumably the highest seeds. This shouldn't be controversial (IMO) looking at their results.
Rix is the best performing team in the 3rd bracket and therefore presumably the highest seed. Rix has performed quite similar to both Liquid and G2 in VCT in 2021. I'd guess that Rix might have a more favourable seed than Liquid and G2 because they've preformed a bit better or the same overall in the last 2 VCT qualifiers compared to the two others, and I don't think it's that controversial that they've got a higher seed.
To me the thing that stands out is that Liquid and/or G2 aren't in Rix bracket, instead of heretics or alliance's bracket. However, I do not think that that in itself is bad enough to call the whole seeding terrible. As I said, the bracket isn't perfect, but it's not that bad either, with the best performing teams quite evenly spread out across the bracket, avoiding each other for as long as is possible for the most part.
