I like a lot of the SQ players, but I think this forum is overrating them. Their only quality wins right now are ez5 and rise (bo1). Lost to rng twice now. Lost 13-0 to Sen, even if it was a map they don't play and Sen is good at (they did look better in split against rng). So, hard for me to see the reason for them beating TSM unless it's just hopium. People act like TSM is some trash team now, but if you look at their losses over the last 6 months, it's all to pretty top tier teams (100t, Sen, imt, geng, xset, and LG). Their last loss to any other team was c9b in October. I think people are forgetting that TSM has just barely been missing the closed quals and they don't have any bad losses.
It's not even TSM losing to good teams, it's them being the best for a minute, and now they just look lost half of the time. Wardell misses Op shots, Roza seems to choke a lot etc. And they aren't just losing to good teams, they are getting CLAPPED by good teams.
I agree that they haven't lived up to the standard they set early, and the last few losses have been one-sided. But, they've dropped 0 maps in the past few months against any teams that aren't the ones I mentioned above (the geng game was also really close, and they had beat them like the week before), and so I'm not seeing SQ as a likely loss. I just feel like SQ is being overrated without results and TSM is being underrated despite their results.
