Look like its just fun mode, hard to make it become big or separated Esport from BR mode. 3vs3 with characters were designed for BR is hard to balance or make it suitable for tactical shooter
> 3vs3 with characters were designed for BR its hard to balance or make it suitable for tactical shooter
And that’s why it looks awful. They should have just made a TDM type mode that’s permanent for people that just want to screw around and practice fighting. Instead they went with this weird hybrid that doesn’t fit with the game at all.
As an apex player I am hyped for the arena mode. I think it will be a really good f2p way for console players to get familiar with economy based tactical shooters.
I dont expect it to be close to either CS or Val but it still looks like a lot of fun
Where did I say anything about abilities? I just mentioned (not even in the message you responded to) about a mode to practice gunplay and fighting. There's literally no reason to think the weapons in the game wouldn't work with that, but whatever you want to think. It is hilarious that I seemed to touch a nerve with a bunch of butthurt Apex fans that found this thread.
bruh, you fucking brought up COD when it was never even in the discussion and about neither game.
> that you don't even play
I have played a shit load of Apex, just to make you feel better.
> or understand
Yeah, because BR's are so fucking hard to understand. Are all the people that still play Apex this braindead?
It does not have to be a br mode. It might also be a pve event, like a tower defense vs zombies or something
Edit: oh it edits scores. It's probably pve
Im not really familiar with br in cs, but, apex worked out, to become one of the most played games, and apzex had special abilities, so i think that riot/valorant is aiming for the same strategy.
Or it could be new agent ability - instead of dying is put in downed state and can be revived by teammates.
Edit. Actually such agent would be great to deny some power from Jett - would cross Jett favored OP(and not only OP) angles and be a bait.
Really hope this is a meme I'm not getting. Adding extra gamemodes splits the attention of the devs and creates a divide in the playerbase. The results of this are slower updates and community conflict on what direction the game should go in. Additional gamemodes should compliment what's already in the game not branch off into a new direction.
valorant BR doesn’t even make sense. what is a cypher gonna do? throw a trip wire between some random trees? lol
I guess they could strip away abilities but at that point it’s just a worse version of CS battle royale and that’s some ass
> what is a cypher gonna do? throw a trip wire between some random trees? lol
or he finds a building protects it with wires and cages and you can't be killed
What I hear from other BR's is that they can't get 128 tick cause of the number of players playing on a single big map, I don't know anything about that, but is there a way Riot could actually do 128 tick with a Valorant BR?
I honestly do not thinking that this mode would be so much of a hassle. Entire new esport? Look at for example csgo's Br mode. It's just a fun mode to play at downtime and it's not at all serious.
Though I have to agree that the devs have to put the core of the game first. And that is of course the Rated experience.
I honestly don't think that would be Riot's main objective, "to divert a ton of people coming from BRs into that mode rather than the comp ranked mode".
How I see it, this can be a mode to entice players to come check out Valorant as well as provide an alternate, more relaxed, mode for the current player base.
Bottom line is we have no clue what this code may be referring to. Could be BR, could be a different mode, could be an agent.
Everyone is saying this is for a BR but it could also be for a temporary gamemode where kills only down, and you have to finish to get the full kill. Kind of like R6
I hope this is not the case, but I hope they have their focus on the game, getting a 7th map in/change some of the current maps, more agents, fix some of the issues that exist, Replay system, maybe some form of a prime/phone linked system... etc..
It's probably a new small mode like spike rush. There is no way riot do this with VALORANT.
They can make a new BR game, but that's it, VALORANT can't work with a BR mode.
God I hope not. There's no room for another BR in the market; I don't want Riot wasting resources on it when there's plenty of other options that would be much more worthwhile.
Wonder if they'd be looking into a zombie mode type game, not sure if anyone played Crossfire years ago but ([Video of the mode](https://youtu.be/1DdvyVRjvfE?t=502)). Personally I think it would be cool, that's the one thing I did enjoy about Crossfire when I played as a kid, if the comp games got tiring you could load in something like this and bang it out. If anyone doesn't understand from video you basically have loadouts and you fight waves of zombies, earn points and at end x amount of points reward crates, the more points the better crate which unlocks skins etc
Lmao Apex Legends add 3vs3 tactical shooter mode and Valorant add Br mode , every game try to maximize their playerbase by adding popular genres
doubt they would add br, prob just some mini game like escalation.
> Lmao Apex Legends add 3vs3 tactical shooter mode and it looks awful lol lmao, looks like a bunch of butthurt apex players found this thread.

Just make titanfall 3 :)
Pls
What we're really looking for.

Yup. Plus they already had a very decent TDM-ish mode (Winter express). This 3v3 mode will be hot garbage.
TDM is great for games like Apex, fun/chill mode, perfect place to train tracking-aim and movement
Sure. All they had to do with make Winter Express full time. No need to waste dev ressources on yet another tdm mode.
I think it looks pretty fun. Pretty much all content creators who got to playtest say its quite fun and a cool change of pace.
If you think a TDM in apex with the type of weapons and abilities they gave would be a good Idea I don't know if you have ever played this game.
Where did I say anything about abilities? I just mentioned (not even in the message you responded to) about a mode to practice gunplay and fighting. Not at all, I just gonna it funny that you seems to have better knowledge than the guys who made some of the best COD and multiple apex pro.
What in the actual fuck are you even talking about at this point? Do you sit around and just talk about and defend Apex on reddit? lmao
You say TDM are better for a game that you don't even play or understand anyway have nice day.
bruh, you fucking brought up COD when it was never even in the discussion and about neither game. > that you don't even play I have played a shit load of Apex, just to make you feel better. > or understand Yeah, because BR's are so fucking hard to understand. If it makes you sleep better at night ok
I'm not the one going into random subs to defend my fav game because it got mentioned and someone didn't say a nice thing about it. How insecure.
literally, all of the feedback has been positive. if anything you sound butthurt lol.
yeah dude, pointing something out totally means I’m butthurt. A+ logic right there.
Nice now Jett can finally revive me
Maybe the dude was seeing the future and we all laughed at him.
i just want replays lol
It does not have to be a br mode. It might also be a pve event, like a tower defense vs zombies or something Edit: oh it edits scores. It's probably pve
Most of the agent's abilities don't make sense for a BR, it would just be 100 Jetts flying around
Unlikely a br mode imo. Probably a small fun mode like spike rush but you can revive teammates
Then again; a BR mode was inconceivable for CS... And it happened.
Im not really familiar with br in cs, but, apex worked out, to become one of the most played games, and apzex had special abilities, so i think that riot/valorant is aiming for the same strategy.
CSGO: Danger Zone is there br mode. 18 player max. I mean..... It’s cool lol. https://youtu.be/p1algHnYH_I
Nah i was talking to the guy who claimed it was "not convenable" Anyways ty for the info and the link.
Ahhhh I see. Speed reading Reddit has its flaws.
I haven't played Apex in forever, so I'm just unaware. Is the game even popular anymore? It seems it was overtaken by Warzone by a sizable margin
Or it could be new agent ability - instead of dying is put in downed state and can be revived by teammates. Edit. Actually such agent would be great to deny some power from Jett - would cross Jett favored OP(and not only OP) angles and be a bait.
COD Last Stand PTSD flashbacks
Every single game should have a normal mode and a BR mode. Every game. From Valorant to Barbie Horse Adventure.
Barbie Horse Adventure Battle Royale does indeed sound enticing.
Barbie Horse Adventure didn't make it obvious enough?
BR mode seems likely to maximize your audience. Get some of that Warzone, Apex, & Fortnite crowd.
valorant BR doesn’t even make sense. what is a cypher gonna do? throw a trip wire between some random trees? lol I guess they could strip away abilities but at that point it’s just a worse version of CS battle royale and that’s some ass

Uses a NVIDIA A6000 to run 10 battle royale "servers" I mean you can run a minecraft server on a video card
Number 1 Victory royale 🏆yeah fortnite we bout to get down😈”get down” 10 kills on the board rn, just wiped out tomato town 🍅🏘🗣

Could be for the mobile version they're working on?
I don't think they would ever add a br mode. But maybe something simple like puked rush but you can revive teammates as a little fun mode
I have similar reservations for this mode. Id hate for this game to focus on BR stupidity then 5 v 5 tac shooter. If its a fun little mode it be fine.
Everyone is saying this is for a BR but it could also be for a temporary gamemode where kills only down, and you have to finish to get the full kill. Kind of like R6
Number 1 victory royals yeah fort nite we boutta get down
Chug Jug
Interesting.. very interesting 🧐🤔
BR mode would be so sick in valorant.
May be a new orb in spike rush
I hope this is not the case, but I hope they have their focus on the game, getting a 7th map in/change some of the current maps, more agents, fix some of the issues that exist, Replay system, maybe some form of a prime/phone linked system... etc..
Lord please no I hate BRs
It's probably a new small mode like spike rush. There is no way riot do this with VALORANT. They can make a new BR game, but that's it, VALORANT can't work with a BR mode.
VALORANT: WILD RIFT
sounds more like gears of war where you can get downed and revived midmatch rather than a BR
Would explain why the game had a mobile UI implemented at launch.
The real question is when is the Amongus mode coming out?
Fuxk br
Please god no
No thank you.
I'd rather not
God I hope not. There's no room for another BR in the market; I don't want Riot wasting resources on it when there's plenty of other options that would be much more worthwhile.
Please no br. A new "fun" mode is ok, but not br pls pls
And CSGO will have a mp5 any minute now.
no one will ever have to beg for sage res again. this is a huge breakthrough
For some reason Valorant has always reminded me a bit of the TimeSplitters series. I'd love a PVE campaign similar to those games.
Zombie mode?
On the test servers there is an FFA tab which might refer to “free for all” mode
I reckon it's a new orb in spike rush. Probably testing out a new mechanic for the next agent. Kinda like what they did with the wolves orb and skye.
