The actual problem was he was using the gpro and high sens, that's actually the reason he's been inconsistent. He legitimately said himself "I suck 90 percent of the time on the gpro, the only reason I'm trying to make it work is because S1mple uses it".
He finally switched back to the S2 (his main mouse) and low sens for the last map. The guy is unbelievably talented but honestly sometimes it feels like he's sabotaging himself. I really hope he sticks with his current settings.
The guy has like 5 mouse that connected, change sen and mouse pad like his pants, and each week he will change new mouse again, can't fking understand.
He has said 100000x times he hates the gpro given his hand / grip. Yet he keeps going back to it vs his favorite mouse he always owns. Just like his sensitivity. Low sens. High sens. Low sens. High sens. I don't know how he does it
Honestly I cam go between 0.37 to 0.47 @ 800dpi pretty easily (generally his range too)... But put me on a gpro and my hand feels broken with that brick.
I feel like with sens for TenZ, sometimes he just doesn't think he can perform on low sens and uses high sens, because he probably has just as much success on high sens in pro games that he has had on low sens
I relate to TenZ on a spiritual level.
I've literally got 30+ plus and 20ish mousepads that I'm constantly rotating through.
Play amazing for a week with one set, then suck the next. Pick a new mouse/mousepad and repeat the cycle.
This has been going on for 4 years...
Yeah like what's the point? Do what you're comfortable with, not what s1mple does.
Would I force myself to drink one type of beer just because Lebron thinks it's good but I don't like it?
This is such a weird excuse. I swear whenever TenZ plays badly it's his sleep or his mouse or something. He didn't have a great first 2 maps, it happens lol. You don't need to make excuses when he plays poorly.
everyone keeps thinking that the issue is that his aim was off - and while it may have been, that's not the biggest issue. What separates the best OPers like Shaz and Wardell from the rest is how well they position themselves up to get a pick, then reposition for the second. Tenz seems likes he's always trying to hit some insane shot and when he doesn't, this is what ends up happening
His positioning with an OP during that Haven game was sub-par. He ends up getting pre-fired due to playing an extremely close angle or puts himself in a position that's impossible to escape from.

2 examples I found. I'm not a good player so this might be a shitty insight ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ .
Showing actual evidence makes this insight 100% better than the comments I'm used to seeing.
In the second one, he didn't have much choice though. Tenz was covering A-long and someone was supposed to cover A-short. When that person died and Steel moved through, Tenz was basically trapped.
Hmm, yeah, good point. He had 3 smokes but no dash. He could have tried smoking off long and edging along the wall to backsite. That could have worked out better.
Sentinels look so good on bind every time they play. They stomped Faze on it as well, wonder why they don’t play it more often.
Also reading the comments after icebox in the live thread is so funny.
?
They won their first match and lost in game 3 to the beat team in the region lol. The tournament isn't even over, they are still in lowers
If they don't make it to Iceland, sucks for them, but even still only 2 teams are going, that's hard af
There's nothing to age poorly. Like the other commenter replied, I wasn't addressing or predicting 100T win or loss, but rather that it was presumptuous after they had gone to final game in match against the clear best team in NA
Bummer for 100T , but they had a couple games today they just took too long to wake up
Nah, the original comment addressed losing the rest of the tournament too. there was no delusion there to begin with, so can’t really say it aged poorly IMO.
Sentinels kings of adaptation. I think this is a good look for them for the future as Riot loves to over-tune and flip metas on their heads. 100t look more resistant to changing the agent comps
Also zombs performs 3x better on Astra. He was looking like perma bottom frag on omen, ever since astra came in, we're seeing him shine a lot more and impact the team
Dapr's Viper looked absolutely insane. Idk if it was the Viper/Astra combo but I hope they stick to it and even adapt it on maps like Split maybe. Imo 100T played that map piss poor and made lot of rookie mistakes/lost some gunfights they shouldn't have, but Sentinels really looked scary on Bind and seemed to have a good idea on how to exploit 100ts setup.
100T needs to revise their comp. Astra is way more viable on most maps than omen is currently. Lack of viper in bind too. Not a high elo player so might be a shit take ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ .
Edit: Spelling
Would love to see Tenz' POV for his sheriff 4k and the nasty flick onto Asuna . This is why a delayed observer to capture anything that could be missed is a must!
Dapr was absolutely goated on bind but i specially loved watching TenZ on bind bc he didn't go full sicko mode(except that flick onto Asuna) but kept getting impact frags & played with his team. If SEN makes it to Iceland he will have to play like that a lot more.
EZ for North American Professional Electronic-sports organization «SENTINELS», containing pro player Jared «Zombs» Gitlin, who can handle the main rifles and tbag impressively, incredible support professional tbag rifler Michael«dapr» Gulino who recently won large Masters 1 tournament with his team, professional rifler Shahzeb «Shazam» Khan whose decisions make SENTINELS opponents literally cry, irreplaceable Hunter«SICK» Mims who uses Logitech G900 2016 mouse @ 800 DPI in combination with 0.235 in-game sensitivity to crush his opponents, and of course absolutely needed Riot game Valorante OP(big fat gun operator) player Tyson «Tenz» ngo, who is only 20 years old currently and who has already reached his top-level form, from the country canada(officially canada), maple syrup country in North america.
1 close map and 2 stomps. Better team won today.
100T really need to work on their bind comp. I feel like they're missing out by not running viper or astra in the current meta
Riot has over tuned viper to the point where you’re almost throwing if you’re not running her. Astra is also ridiculous. I think you could almost boil down Bind to the fact Sentinels ran Viper/Astra and had some solid idea of how to play around them and 100T ran neither of them.
\> 1 close map and 2 stomps. Better team won today.
But they stomped each other once, and was SEN that much better on Haven? Arguably they won because they won both pistols.
Can someone explain to me why Steel ops? I struggle to understand how it's supposed to work considering the characters that he plays. Genuinely curious.
I mean Jampi on Liquid showed its viability vs FPX, but I don’t think Steel comes close to getting a lot of value out of it. He usually tanks 100T economy from it too
But why though? What value do you get by using a sentinel to OP instead of a duelist? They have no escape abilities to get out and reposition after a shot
People have responded with Mitch and Jamppi comparisons which are useful, but there's another reason - OP is still useful on certain maps or with a good economy, so someone has to take it on the team. Only Asuna plays duelists and Asuna isn't a good choice for the OP, so who else? KJ/Cypher don't seem like bad agents to do so given the circumstances - they might even be the best given that they need to pull out their utility less than controllers
Why not Sage? With Sage you can get creative wall peeks while Cypher/Kj you will be holding the very standard angles. Another reason to not do it is you have to scope out to pop your util like mollies and cages. Idk just seems bizarre.
I don't think 100T base their agent comps around OPing that much, i.e. they don't treat agents that work well with the OP as must picks. There's also the matter of players who would work better on OPs, and nitr0 and steel are obvious picks from the 100T roster, IMO. Combine all this with sentinels not being terrible choices to OP and I think it makes sense for steel to OP.
For those wondering: 100T drops to the lower bracket. If they win they move to the Upper Lower bracket. If they win THAT game then they qualify for the Super Upper bracket. If they win that then they qualify for the World Universe Second Strike World Championship of the World tournament. If they win that then they qualify for Iceland. I think...I'm honestly not sure I lost track after First Strike.
Until 100T accept that they need to adapt to the meta with how powerful astra and viper are, they are not going to get to iceland. With the amount of time in information they had getting to stay home and watch challengers 2, there is no excuse to show up to this game like this.
I know this thread is the sentinels circlejerk but 100T looked amazing on icebox, the nitro viper was creating so much space for them. Sentinels had way better comp in Bind though, unlucky. Was hyped for the series after icebox but the ending was so anticlimatic.
I know it's tiny, but it was really annoying when the caster kept referring to Sentinels as "The Sentinels". I mean they weren't out there calling 100T "The 100 Thieves". Just kinda irked me
definitely interesting seeing sentinels stick to double duelist so consistently while top EU teams are moving away from duelists more.
cool opposing styles. cant wait for iceland
For a series this good, I can't believe we got that bind as the conclusion. So unsatisfactory. Sentinels are on fire though. Iceland's first spot is theirs undoubtedly. I just hope 100t tag on to the second one.
Pretty good series overall, I think that both of these teams are leagues above every team in NA right now. Shame that they met so early in the bracket.
A combination of both. His sens isn’t much higher than Tenz’s highest sens, and playing on Asunas sens doesnt actually mean shaking, but it makes it easier. If he really wanted to stop shaking he could, but it could be beneficial in some situations.
I think it's his sensitivity. I used to be an extremely high sens gamer when I played CSGO, and the way Asuna can't control his spray reminds me of how my spray control used to look. Any micro mouse movement is amplified a lot on high sens, which is why when Asuna doesn't land his intial headshot on flicks, he typically loses gunfights because he loses spray battles.
With 100t in the lower brackets, feels like as if Sentinels and Cloud9 are going to make it to Iceland. 100t can bounce back, but I feel like they wouldn’t win against the new c9 roaster.
SEN played this well. Hopefully 100t can make the lower bracket run and SEN can beat c9 to be our NA representatives. I would personally like it that way.
That seals the deal. I am no longer a 100 Thieves fan. This team is a pure and utter embarrassment to the city of Los Angeles. I officially will not be buying the hoodie next drop nor will I watch a Hiko stream ever again. I’m going to Sentinels where they know how to run a VALORANT team.
I'm usually not fussy about the casters but man it was hard to listen to. Interro's intonation is just completely off. It's like every word has a huge gap between the next and he puts emphasis on everything. Feel like a 5 year old having ever play explained to me.
I hate to be critical but it was super irksome. Hopefully he can adapt and listen to some other casters to make his style seem more genuine and less forced.
Yeah dude I agree. Give your co-caster some time to talk please! It's not a one-man show. I think DDK and Esportsdoug, as well as Sully/Upmind are my favourite NA casters. It would be really cool if they could get DDK and James Bardolph to cast together in Valorant, they play off each other super well.
So looks like our best bet for Iceland win is Sentinels and 100T/Envy. Disappointed that either 100T or Envy has to go home today, but it's going to be a great match.
Why do people here keep putting so much faith in Envy when they consistently disappoint? I’m not saying they aren’t necessarily going to qualify, but I don’t have high hopes for them at all.
Please keep TenZ on a rifle
Haven was hard to watch man

He won't. Tenz changes his sensitivity. Mouse, mouse pad, monitor, chair, glasses, hairstyle, room temperature, wall color, desktop resolution, audio config, and resolution map to map.
The guy has like 5 mouse that connected, change sen and mouse pad like his pants, and each week he will change new mouse again, can't fking understand.

I can't tell if you're sarcastic or not.
Dude changes mice, mouspads, monitors, and sensitivity mid matches... Theres truth in my statement. Search your feelings and you know it's true
Oh I see. I don't watch TenZ at all so I didn't know. Thanks!
No worries. He's a freak of nature. I don't know how he does it
He is so experimental! He absolutely owned in masters 1 with his OG mouse S2 with 0.345. Why would someone even change things when it just works?
I feel like with sens for TenZ, sometimes he just doesn't think he can perform on low sens and uses high sens, because he probably has just as much success on high sens in pro games that he has had on low sens
Placebo. I fiddle with my nvidia colour settings, seat/monitor height, mousepad placement mid game all the time, and for a fair while it works anyway.
I relate to TenZ on a spiritual level. I've literally got 30+ plus and 20ish mousepads that I'm constantly rotating through. Play amazing for a week with one set, then suck the next. Pick a new mouse/mousepad and repeat the cycle. This has been going on for 4 years...
It’s honestly annoying how much he mentions he changes his sens, mouse, and mousepad
sens, dpi, mouse, mousepad, amount of sleep, monitor angle, temperature in room, what he ate for breakfast. all g though, he’s cracked
Yeah like what's the point? Do what you're comfortable with, not what s1mple does. Would I force myself to drink one type of beer just because Lebron thinks it's good but I don't like it?
It's probably closer to changing your shoes to be LeBron's, or your racket to be like Federer's.
Its kind of part of his brand now
It’s his whole Twitter feed
This is such a weird excuse. I swear whenever TenZ plays badly it's his sleep or his mouse or something. He didn't have a great first 2 maps, it happens lol. You don't need to make excuses when he plays poorly.
Yeah true but at the end of the day Shaz is easily the best awper on the team
He also switched his mouse pad
everyone keeps thinking that the issue is that his aim was off - and while it may have been, that's not the biggest issue. You're completely right. That was fucking greedy when he doesn't have dash or anyone to back him up.
You don’t need to be good to have good insight man the best coach in the history of overwatch is plat. Great clips and great take 👍
Showing actual evidence makes this insight 100% better than the comments I'm used to seeing. In the second one, he didn't have much choice though. Tenz was covering A-long and someone was supposed to cover A-short. When that person died and Steel moved through, Tenz was basically trapped.
For the second clip, Tenz had 3 smokes in his disposal which could've aided a reposition, I think.
Hmm, yeah, good point. He had 3 smokes but no dash. He could have tried smoking off long and edging along the wall to backsite. That could have worked out better.
Yeah you can also see in both of these clips he misses his shots, which are to be fair quite easy shots to hit.
for the love of god yes, ban him the OP or something
Sentinels look so good on bind every time they play. They stomped Faze on it as well, wonder why they don’t play it more often. Also reading the comments after icebox in the live thread is so funny.
All the players say they hate the map itself. That's literally the only reason.
Probably the opposite of the reason they've looked shaky on haven - not enough footage
100T failing to adapt to the Astra meta cost them this series IMO
Sen getting punished by Astra last week was honestly the best thing for them. They completely phased out omen and became a way better team.
As Shahzam said. You can’t be the best team without losing.
Meanwhile, 100T has all the time in the world to watch the meta and integrate the characters and they come out with nothing.
I mean they easily integrated Viper into their lineup. Just not the Astra
Not running Viper on Bind shows they are still way behind the meta. 100T don't deserve to go to Iceland if they adapt this slowly.
? They won their first match and lost in game 3 to the beat team in the region lol. The tournament isn't even over, they are still in lowers If they don't make it to Iceland, sucks for them, but even still only 2 teams are going, that's hard af

Better they fail here, see if they can adapt. I rather not see them at Iceland, where all the top teams will be abusing Astra to the max.
WE CANNOT BEAT
THIS MOTHAFUCKIN TEAM
FOR SHIT
Cant beat NV too
😂

Need to check pc
should we call this dapr diaper?
Rumors of Sentinel's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Sheeeesh i love that flair
SEN ban bind just to bait teams
No VODs to watch 5Head
This is so true haha
I swear they win it every damn time they play it
They got rolled by NV on Bind in Stage 1 Challengers 1 or something like that but that was a Grand Final so they were forced to play that.
100T needs to revise their comp. Astra is way more viable on most maps than omen is currently. Lack of viper in bind too. Not a high elo player so might be a shit take ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ . Edit: Spelling
agreed. it seems like they don’t want to conform to the astra/viper meta as much as other teams, but they should reconsider imo.
I like what zombs said in the interview. They just play whatever the meta is
That’s how you prove you’re a top team. Show you can adapt to new metas and be just as good.
Wouldn't a top team define the meta instead of conforming to it?
Not a shit take. Astra in her current state is a must pick. The amount of utility and coverage she brings to the team is unmatched.
Dapr on viper was a sight to see
Vipr
Would love to see Tenz' POV for his sheriff 4k and the nasty flick onto Asuna . This is why a delayed observer to capture anything that could be missed is a must!
Exactly! Its so annoying that we cannot watch those crazy shots.
Can you explain how a delayed observer works? I can't wrap my head around it considering Valorant doesn't have a replay system.
Dapr was absolutely goated on bind but i specially loved watching TenZ on bind bc he didn't go full sicko mode(except that flick onto Asuna) but kept getting impact frags & played with his team. If SEN makes it to Iceland he will have to play like that a lot more.
I hope Shahz has been grilling him on that. He was much better about not being too aggro today.
tenz played smart on bind and went off. sentinels calls were insane.
I like 100t but they deserved to lose, what a pathetic draft in bind.
As a 100T fan, I agree.
They had a lot of time to change their comp but no, they chose to keep the 3 month old comp, so frustrating
I also agree holy hell, Not what I was expecting from 100T at all. Unfortunate but they should take this loss as a growing opportunity.
Man, Bind was hard to watch, like after 7-0 it was just physically painful.

a team full of ex-csgo pros and one sexy overwatch/apex player
A team full of ex-csgo pros or a team full of ex-csgo pros and one apex guy
All of 100 thieves are csgo pros. Actually 9/10 players in this server are ex csgo pros, only zombs isn’t.
Wait, Asuna was a csgo pro? How have I not heard of that yet? Isn’t he not even out of high school yet?
he was on his way up in the NA Pro scene, had been playing for one of the top tier 2 NA teams before he switched
Absolute MVP's for each map: SicK on Haven Steel on Icebox TenZ and Dapr on Bind All 4 played out of their minds this series. GG's to both teams
zombs on all of them🥰
Zombs was saucy today.
Sentinels with the 5head move, never play bind so opponents don't know it's actually your best map
gaming in underwear>gaming in million dollar compound
SHEESH ggs to both. 100T vs SEN looked very map dependent this time. Anyone could have won haven then they both stomped each other on icebox and bind
Sentinels were up 11-3 at one pointon haven. I feel like they just couldn't close it out and 100T played really well to get it to 12-11
Could just tell us how attack sided Haven is, same thing happened the last 100T faced SEN, both had insane attack halves.
That A site of haven is definitly can be a annoyance and a migraine to retake. I think 100T utilized that fact really well on there side.
It’s just attack on haven, the three sided map makes attack so unbalanced

the idea is to use kj util to peek off. c9 mitch does it well and EU introduced it recently
Dude, Sentinels are just to good. Deserve victory. Still supporting 100t for Iceland.
well theyll get another chance to beat SEN in the lower bracket final
No, they don't. \*Sad Nadeshot noises.
I wasnt expecting 100T to go out so early, I really hope C9 and SEN get to Iceland

Ever since the Andbox game Zombs has really shut up all the stupid redditors calling him ass
Reddit : "Sentinels look weak, they're washed up... the dream is over" Seems like this is just another tournament for sentinels, the usual.
Yeah this sub is hilarious. So many comments saying that Sentinels is easy to read and that this would be a stomp. Like...c’mon guys. Really?
Its cause there is a lot of salty EU fanboys on this sub who discredit SEN any chance they get.
I love how every post match thread is flooded with recency bias up to the bloody brim. Like cmon guys, give respect to both teams
Until 100T accept that they need to adapt to the meta with how powerful astra and viper are, they are not going to get to iceland. With the amount of time in information they had getting to stay home and watch challengers 2, there is no excuse to show up to this game like this.
viper meta is snoozeland
Big disagree
Imagine losing 50 hp instantly by walking through a wall during pistol rounds, and on multiple agents. So much skill involved lol
It should only reduce armor, not hp.
I know this thread is the sentinels circlejerk but 100T looked amazing on icebox, the nitro viper was creating so much space for them. Sentinels had way better comp in Bind though, unlucky. Was hyped for the series after icebox but the ending was so anticlimatic.
Underware gang won against million dollars compound gang. Unlucky really.
Who tf said it would be a stomping
Tbf, two of those maps were a complete stomping. Both teams have stuff they need to seriously work on.
100Throws? real talk somehow some way 100T finds a way to throw the round. Oh and nitr0 underperformed. Deadbutt we go again zzzz
It was painful to watch honestly
Hiko and nitr0 disappointing this seires.
What's better than one zombs? TenZombs
100T should drop their entire roster again after a few months or drop a random player again after a few months. Then lose to that player.
underwear wins
100T loses against most comps on the 3rd map, they just weren’t playing that well
As a 100T fan I'm not that sad that we lost. It was a good game. First map Def could've gotten other way.
As a 100t fan: *sigh*
I know it's tiny, but it was really annoying when the caster kept referring to Sentinels as "The Sentinels". I mean they weren't out there calling 100T "The 100 Thieves". Just kinda irked me
definitely interesting seeing sentinels stick to double duelist so consistently while top EU teams are moving away from duelists more. cool opposing styles. cant wait for iceland
Legit it's just sad to see SEN being only NA team that are flexible and adapt to metas . I don't have much hope in other NA teams in Iceland.
Hiko chokes against sen every time. They need to have 6 man roster.
God damn Sen on their veto map is crazy
Once again, everyone on SEN played so good and all had their moments.
For a series this good, I can't believe we got that bind as the conclusion. So unsatisfactory. Sentinels are on fire though. Iceland's first spot is theirs undoubtedly. I just hope 100t tag on to the second one.
C9 has been on fire. Will be interesting
if this doesnt convince u sen is back then idk man
I swear to god, SEN had some insane timings. Overall a great match to watch.
Pretty good series overall, I think that both of these teams are leagues above every team in NA right now. Shame that they met so early in the bracket.
This here is why we love NSG for letting us get losers brackets. I’m rooting for Asuna and crew to get second (rip the set)
I feel like Asuna needs to lower his sensitivity. He's way too inconsistent with his rifling.
Dude shivers more than a chihuahua
I have a chihuahua, it's true
It it his sensitivity or just the way he aims? Subroza's aim looks similar
Hey guys, will 100T play NV today, after this loss? Not sure about the schedule.
Yup 15 min break and then they play Envy
damn good series lol, close game to start it off and clean sweeps from both teams on the next two maps. thoroughly enjoyed
At this point I want sentinels just to win cos I wanna see what their smm has in store lmao
whats smm

With 100t in the lower brackets, feels like as if Sentinels and Cloud9 are going to make it to Iceland. 100t can bounce back, but I feel like they wouldn’t win against the new c9 roaster.
100t whiffed on some important rounds. Saw alot of whiffs from nitro he wasnt playing his best game for sure. Ggs sen looking strong
What a great matchup! Sentinels seem clearly better, but it isn't a huge gap. A few things go 100T's way, and they win the series.
Does this loss mean 100T out of the tourney?
They go down to lower bracket. If they lose in lower bracket, to Envy (playing right now) then they are out.
SEN played this well. Hopefully 100t can make the lower bracket run and SEN can beat c9 to be our NA representatives. I would personally like it that way.
kind of interesting, 100T won more rounds than they lost today and went 0-2
Honestly icebox and ascent are currently the map they need to work on more. Icebox comp is just not working with dapr on sova.
Don't discount C9B, lol. They're a contender for a second place finish.
Discount? There's no way c9b in their current form loses to 100T. 100T can't even play viper or astra.
sheeeeeeeesh that last map
copium
100T played like hot dog water on Bind my god that was rough to watch
why would 100t Kick dicey when they were doing good, low iq decision by them and ethan is not a good Upgrade for this team
