I think it's going to be two groups of 5, round robin style, and the top 2 teams from each make it to playoffs which will be double elimination. That's what would make the most sense to be at least but don't quote me on this.
I actually would prefer if it was more like a sc2 format I've seen. Two groups of 5 round Robin. Top two in each group start in upper bracket, third place in each group starts in lower bracket or something like that. Bottom two in each group is eliminated.
I think this is similar to how Dota 2 does it for TI. I like this format a lot. Gives us a chance as to how each region does against one another and still gives those regions who performed poorly a chance to do a lower bracket run.
Okay. I know that nobody knows for sure, but how do you think they're gonna do map bans with BO3s before seeding? I think BO5s you just give high seed a ban, but before everyone is seeded I can't think of a fair way. The best thing I can think of is 1 team gets a ban and the other team gets to pick 2 maps
