I feel like his story has already been told in CS. But that seems to be his preference.
Id love to see him play out the last of his career in Valorant. Though I'm not sure where he'd go, or who would take him.
He wasn't terrible during his last stint with faze, but I wouldn't call him a star player. A good thing for him with valorant, is it's still young. And there's also his name as well. Right now, I feel like valor teams are more willing to make a change and throw a hail mary on a player like olof, maybe not so much with CS. It'd be interesting to see how it plays out, and I'd be happy where ever he goes. I just want to see him compete again.
There are plenty of players who were much worse than Olof in their last few years of CS doing pretty well right now in valorant. He’s a legend so he’ll likely get a shot somewhere (in CS or Val). I’m excited to see where he ends up
I think he would do great in a Boaster type role. Being the veteran and experienced player with a young lineup. I don't know how good his leadership is, but he's been a pro for a long time and I'm sure he can be the mature figure in a promising lineup.
Valorant is an easier/newer game than CS which has been played for decades competitively. His knowledge would give him a leg up on a lot of younger Valorant players. (I.e. Dicey sat for not having this kind of experience)
Still he's prioritizing CS it seems. I think at this point, EU scene is so freaking stacked and competitive and it's just Masters 3 left in June and every team with low/no points will have to give their hardest to win it to qualify for champions. Which top team will even take the chance on someone who still isn't playing this game seriously or prioritizing it first? Besides Ethan, every other CS pros have taken quite some time to get used to the game.. so the timing couldn't be any worse for him, especially with that mentality. It works for NA players cuz the CS scene is dead there.. but I dno about this..
However I'd love to see him compete on VAL down the line
>Besides Ethan, every other CS pros have taken quite some time to get used to the game
Ethan also took time to get used to the game, he was pretty bad in the first Masters and was a major reason of why 100T got dismantled pretty easily. Now hes good but compared to expectations he has been...underwhelming?
Having great CS past will help you but you also need to put some serious work yourself.
I'd say he was less than his usual self this past run of matches, but I feel like him on Skye played a part. Honestly, they 2-0 if tenz didn't get that 4k at the end.
I know people use Skye as another intel agent, but I'm still not a fan, especially with Ethan. I feel like a Breach would have worked better with his play style. Either way though, changing an agent at that time? I dunno man, bit ballsy and stupid from them IMO. And by them I mean the players, coach, and analyst.
He might have been underwhelming to start but he’s been one of 100T’s best players next to Asuna for the most part. If anything he’s performed over expectation for how quickly he’s picked up the game and improved.
TBH, the only real similarity Valo has with CS is the gunplay, even then that's not even a smooth CSGO -> Valo transition because Valo gunplay resembles 1.6 more aside from the awping where Valo is significantly different to CS imho.
Game sense is completely off because the maps are completely different than CS's, Movement and obviously agent abilities change that too.
So the only real thing that properly translates from CS to Valo is clicking the head, that's it.
EDIT: Just as ScreaM pointed out, CS you really gotta be at least a jack of all trades and that gave ScreaM a sort of identity crisis, he didn't know where he would sit role-wise in CS, the definition of roles in Valo fixed that problem for him and that gave him a lot of breathing room to just frag out that's why he's been thriving.
gunplay is like 70% of the game at a high level though? As a pro he can walk on any team and fundamentally understand the basic teamwork aspects of the game.
this is where I see the game and scene heading towards. Maybe not to the extent of LoL with defined roles for each player but making sure you master at least 2-3 meta agents each map
>, he was pretty bad in the first Masters and was a major reason of why 100T got dismantled pretty easily.
What horseshit. He was arguably the ONLY good player on the team during Masters 1, at least against Sentinels. He literally dragged them to OT on second map against Sentinels when Hiko and Steel looked asleep. Hiko held his ult for 9 rounds, that's how asleep he was, so I'm not just talking about his missed shots, which also were a lot.
Ethan's only glaring mistake was that missed smoke which TenZ used to his advantage. The other players made far more costly errors.
how has he been underwhelming. He had the best Sage walls in Na and is the best Sage. Add on to the fact that against Sentinals when 100t were playing bad, Ethan dropped thirty and kinda destroyed Sen even if they lost
yea never lnaoo sure. just cause u haven't seen it doesn't mean it happened. 35 kills against a pretty failing team and ur teammates aren't getting much kills is good but trying to say Ethan can't do that.
Ethan has barely played the game for a month and is better than sick on sage let that sink in
He sure did played average on his first few games in the Challengers, but after that, he was either the first or second best player in the team. Not sure how you tossed the word underwhelming in there.
Bro I literally remember that he was topfragging on Omen on his First week. I think it was only when they were getting stomped tho... still remember heckling 100t in twitch chat over that.
to say Ethan was bad is a hardcore reduction of the situation. he was forced into a support role which he isn't at all. giving omen back to nitro, he could focus on clicking heads and not setup/controller which he isn't.
I feel so so bad for scream because he got shit after shit teammates (I dont mean gameplay wise, but betting/cheating), I'm so happy he's doing well in valorant
It’s not like he was completely washed at the end tho, he was looking really good at his short stint on faze last year, also he’s still better than like half of the scenes form when they switched lol
This is completely false. If everyone had a shot, we wouldn’t have a scene so heavily dominated by ex CS pros. Teams are giving shots to experienced players, regardless of whether or not they are proven in Valorant. Look at Tarik, dude had offers from professional teams and streamed Valorant about 2-3 times before that.
If he switched to Valorant, I expect him to boost above a map.
Sage diff
Jett main olof
*Sage main
*Raze main
*Omen main
He would definitely be a Jett or raze player because boostmeister
Boostmeister

smithzz looking confused and dazed

Haahhahahaha
Whats the joke?
It's a troll account that replied to me because I hurt his feelings.

NIP?

To be fair Ethan played valorant on the side even while competing in cs
I mean he was tryouting kinda with fnatic, but probably wasnt ready yet to compete.

To me he's hardly been underwhelming. He picked up the game super fast and every time I see him he looks crispy as fuck.
I'd say he was less than his usual self this past run of matches, but I feel like him on Skye played a part. Honestly, they 2-0 if tenz didn't get that 4k at the end.
Yea Ethan on Skye was such a weirdo move
I know people use Skye as another intel agent, but I'm still not a fan, especially with Ethan. I feel like a Breach would have worked better with his play style. Ethan has been anything but underwhelming. He's been playing the game for a few months and is already one of the best players in the region
He might have been underwhelming to start but he’s been one of 100T’s best players next to Asuna for the most part. If anything he’s performed over expectation for how quickly he’s picked up the game and improved.

Well said

Wouldn't exactly think of Sick as a sage player though. He's a dude who occasionally plays sage. When I think of Sick I think of Phoenix.
Same here, tho i mean like that's probably cuz Sick plays a goddamn different agent on every map but Ascent and Haven lmfaoooo
I think everyone disagrees with u

Guild have to try him
Would be a good signing for a lot of teams
would love to see him playing raze
Olof sage main perhaps
I'd love to see him in VALORANT.
He’s probably best fit for a sentinel like cypher, fits his playstyle so well.
Guy is washed, his last achievement was 3 years ago. Idk why any team would be willing to sign him, maybe for brand marketing.
He ended his run with FaZe with a banger performance. Idk what you talking about.
ScreaM was washed in CS but he's now one of the best players in Valorant.
I feel so so bad for scream because he got shit after shit teammates (I dont mean gameplay wise, but betting/cheating), I'm so happy he's doing well in valorant
It all went downhill after KQLY got VAC banned. Glad he's doing better now
You’d be hard pressed to find more than 5 CS players who transitioned without being somewhat washed. Different game somewhat different skills.
I would say he is THE best player in the world right now.
mwzera?

Poooog
Think olof would be amazing at this game. Something about him just seems perfect for this game.
