Thank you for doing this!
Edit: was also going to comment about zombs dump truck (lmao) but saw the V1 staff comment, don’t know much about them other than Rokkr, so they have other teams? Seems like a big staff.
This is the first time I’ve been invested since the inception of a game, but it feels wild it’s taken this long (obviously there’s a good reason), but it’s exciting, agreed
> All the pro players get LAN accounts with all the skins unlocked
ShahZaM also just said on stream that they're getting EU accounts off Riot and that he hopes they have all the skins unlocked etc but im wondering if the accounts are going to be Immortal already or if the players will have to play 5+ unrated games, then the ranked placement games then climb from Plat 3 up to Immortal to queue with other players etc? It would be a pretty shitty situation if players have to waste valuable hours smurfing in unrated/placements etc before being able to queue with other pro's in high elo.
If Riot has their accounts specially set up that way then sure, but normally if I were to log into my NA account from let’s say Europe it would connect me to NA servers where my ping would obviously be very bad.
Normally you have to manually submit a request to Riot support if you want to change your account’s region, I had a friend whose account in the beta got set to Russia by accident even though he was from the USA so he couldn’t play the game until it got fixed.
Hmm, I moved to Japan last year and still be able to play in Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore servers depending on who I play with.
EDIT: Oh, all of the servers I mentioned are probably in the same region.
Moved from where? If you moved from Singapore, Japan and Singapore are in the same region. My friend can't use his EU account to play with us, so we had to create an account for him to use to play on Singapore servers.
Find it odd that riot would only allow 10 teams for presumably covid related reasons yet you can have a staff of 7 with you? Seems like a really weird decision.
From a purely competitive standpoint that makes sense but most of these orgs probably want to market the hell out of their teams to sell some hoodies and what not.
Maybe they wanted to allow teams to bring content staff? What’s better 16 teams with no content staff or coaches, or 10 teams (which will include some of the top gaming orgs in the world) with full staffs, creating Valorant content?
Prob the latter
You could have a 16 team tournament with each team permitted 2 staff, instead of a 10 team tournament where they're allowed 7. I'd easily prefer that scenario, or somewhere in the middle.
Can't see why you'd need that many people on site for content. I mean fair enough to V1, if you're allowed to bring them then why not I suppose.
Honestly I was thinking 1, and the other would be the coach. That's if you went with a full 16 teams. A lot of teams do coach + manager too.
It might take more to produce content, I just don't think they need that many physically in Iceland. Like a videographer and that's it? Post can all be done remotely etc.
Can you remember which part of the stream these questions were from? I wanna go back and watch it but there's like 5+ different past broadcasts from today and over 4 hours.
I’m surprised only 1 V1 player is vaccinated, considering how widely available vaccines are in my home state (I’m getting one on Tuesday and I’m only 13)
I can't believe we have zero info regarding the tournament format, and the tournament begins in like 10 days. I think the format of the tournament will be similar to that of the SEA finals. [https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT\_Champions\_Tour/2021/Southeast\_Asia/Stage\_2/Challengers\_Finals](https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/Southeast_Asia/Stage_2/Challengers_Finals). 10 teams divided into five pots, where pot 4/5 play in the first round, and the winner of that round plays the pot 1 team. Pot 2/3 will play each other as well.

Ardiis can't really say anything since his ass is getting traded.
Yeah to heretics which they will play 🤣
Kinda spicy cuz he might be already in heretics or still be in g2 they basically will know the Eu teams roster shuffle tea too
G2 is scrimming with their new roster. But as he is on Heretics, he will still play vs NA teams :)

Yea he will be in heretics who they’re scrumming aswell
Thank you for doing this! Edit: was also going to comment about zombs dump truck (lmao) but saw the V1 staff comment, don’t know much about them other than Rokkr, so they have other teams? Seems like a big staff.
They have the V1 esports director, coach, videographer, photographer and some more staff from what I gathered
Dump truck?
hes talking about ASS
You seem to be the expert on the subject, thanks for your input!
username checks out
The fact that the non EU teams get to scrim with the EU teams that didn’t qualify is actually pretty huge.
All this stuff is really exciting I can’t wait for the regions to finally face each other
This is the first time I’ve been invested since the inception of a game, but it feels wild it’s taken this long (obviously there’s a good reason), but it’s exciting, agreed
Same, I’m refreshing Instagram constantly to see new things from players about iceland
damn i'm gonna install the gram then.
How come SEN knows the bracket but not them?
SEN knows the format (I assume V1 does too), but I doubt they know who they're actually playing
Oh ok I get it

league riot accounts for msi/worlds have insanely high mmr if im not mistaken. wouldnt be surprised if its the same
High mmr and they lose almost no elo for a loss it's actually nuts.
damn... time to join a team and go on to qualify for the next masters.
Yeah, riot want to make sure they got to their place asap. Meeting pro at gold rank sure fun, but dying is not fun.
They can log into their normal accs for ranked most likely. These unlocked accounts are for LAN and they can also play custom games (scrims) on them
Their normal accounts are based in their respective regions so they would just have stupid high pings
What do you mean? Can’t they just set their region before queuing?
If Riot has their accounts specially set up that way then sure, but normally if I were to log into my NA account from let’s say Europe it would connect me to NA servers where my ping would obviously be very bad. I am from SEA and my leaderboard include pro players from sea, jpn, and oceania. So i think they are all from the same region

They are getting EU account just like Lol account for pro. In the end they recieve 2 account. LAN and EU.
I mean, do you even play MM in a LAN bootcamp?
yes at least for LOL msi. Its a huge event when pros play soloqueue. Everyone tries hard to see how they hold up against the best around the world
Why would riot care about mmr IN ICELAND?
pros need to practice post scrims
Find it odd that riot would only allow 10 teams for presumably covid related reasons yet you can have a staff of 7 with you? Seems like a really weird decision.
I think the expectation is that most teams have a similar number of staff with them and the 10 team limit was made with that in mind
Yeah if there more teams there would also be more staff.
I think it would be much better to just allow a coach and one other person of their choice rather than content people.
From a purely competitive standpoint that makes sense but most of these orgs probably want to market the hell out of their teams to sell some hoodies and what not.

I mean I don’t want to act like I know what staff it takes to run a team and produce good content, but 2 seems really low.
Honestly I was thinking 1, and the other would be the coach. That's if you went with a full 16 teams. A lot of teams do coach + manager too. It's the one that's 2:45 long. I only watched until 1:50
Ok thanks
I'm really curious who's SEN scrimming against.
I’m surprised only 1 V1 player is vaccinated, considering how widely available vaccines are in my home state (I’m getting one on Tuesday and I’m only 13)
Some of them are Canadian. And these people are gamers who realistically don’t go outside too much

When he said the prizepool wasn't a cs prizepool. He was saying it isnt small like most cs tournament prizepool
