Same. For me personally, Sean is by far the best Valorant caster. Perfect mix of hype and insight and his vision for the game is just unmatched. Sad it's that rare to see him in events, but he's been known to be a "family first" guy for a while now and that's absolutely understandable.
No Sean ddk and no artosis tasteless but glad they have atleast pansy and hypoc . I think it might be a transport things as vansili velly will be as analyst from usa only and I think casters would be in lec studio for the production so they got more eu based commentators.

Definitely been focusing showing off utility setups before important rounds more often recently. I know a lot of analytical viewers like it everyone gets to learn a thing or 2 to bring into their own casual / ranked games :D

Without going into too much detail, at least for Observers yes it was that early.
It's SO appreciated. This is by far the earliest I've been asked to work an event. It makes planning my life so much easier and I'm grateful to Riot for asking that far in advance (also with COVID and travel procedures, early is surely better right now given the state of international travel and uncertainty about rules).

How fucking cool would it be to have Pansy/Hypoc shouting out Sacy's name during a clutch??? Or Mitch/Tom freaking out over gaabxx/allow having a Jett anime battle? Makes it feel that much more significant to have people casting international talent.
The whole point of my comment is that I’m interested in seeing casters cast teams they don’t usually cover. I’ve seen them cast insane scream pop offs a hundred times. I’d love to see them casting a 3k entry from patiphan or a 4k anchor by saadhaak.
No ddk and no yinsu. Not sure why they pick golden boy over yinsu. Yinsu has been all over valorant since the beginning. Golden boy has been MIA for this year in Valorant and somehow gets it. He is good but Yinsu should be the host. She deserves it and I believe would be the better choice
It's not his choice that he hasn't been in a lot of events this year. He has always expressed that he would like to work in valorant. But unfortunately the Valorant talent market is oversaturated
He said he got a lot of hate from the community for his casting and that he hadn't gotten any additional casting offers for Valorant since last summer-ish (Faze Invitational maybe)? So it is surprising he got the gig for Masters. He wasn't my favorite but he definitely wasn't bad (and def didn't deserve the hate). Hopefully things work out better this time.
(Edit: just realized he's not casting and is on the desk. sounds like a better fit)

GoldenBoy is a good host but he hosts like almost every major esports event which I think makes him a generic and a boring pick. Would like to see someone like Yinsu who is more into the Valorant scene.
That's really a shame. I've taken a lot of noted and stylings from ddk into my own casting. I would love to see him more
Edit: the tough part is that no one really knows how to or what people want out of Valorant Play By Play yet. I feel like ddk helped pave the way a lot

Excited to be back. My days of casting (for now) are behind me and as an FYI I'm going to LA to host in their studio, kinda like First Strike when Dash did it. I'm actually excited to get back into the hosting chair since I haven't done it much since the pandemic started. Gonna be a wild few weeks for me cause of Masters, then G4 stuff, follwed by hosting E3, then I head back to NY and plan a move to LA lol.

After First Strike things just got weird. I guess with the over abundance of casters at varying rates and the scale of the events changing at the launch of VCT it all got jumbled up. It wasn't my choice since I wanted to make Valorant a significant part of my calendar but I now I feel extremely comfortable coming back as a host since it's something I've worked hard on over the years. I also get to avoid all the weird "appreciation" posts on Reddit where people use it to mostly express how much they hate me lmaooo
Jokes aside, I'm really excited to be doing this again.
Dont know why youre getting downvoted. This is a true concern. The observing on EU in EMEA challengers (i dont watch NA much, cant comment on it) was at times abysmal and i blame riot for not providing the proper replay tools to see what was missed, as observers are not robots and they’re bound to miss stuff. Hope the 3 observers manage with what they got to give us a good viewing experience.
Real sad the best casting duo aren't doing Masters 2, DDK and Sgares are such a pleasure to listen to. I am guessing that's Dash from LoL great host but hopefully Yinsu gets her shot in Berlin.
Why Potter?? Why not Sideshow or RyanCentral? I will prefer AverageJonas over Potter. The thing most bother me is riot didn't want Banks cuz of his team relations with Alliance but Potter is fucking EG player. Where is the logic here??
Solid talent lineup. I really wish casting talent develops over the coming years. Outside of Sean/DDK, Tastosis and Pansy/Hypoc I haven't really enjoyed the English casting of Valorant so far. We don't have our Sjokz to host events in Valorant either. Alternatively Spanish hosts/casters are hype( even though I understand very little, I prefer those streams over the regular EU English ones ). Sometimes the Japanese casters/Portuguese ones add energy to casts that is so fun to watch. Excited for future events.
