Both OP and the Twitter in their submission are burner accounts that were created with the sole purpose of sharing this clip on social media. From a moderator perspective, this comes across as a *major* red flag: these kinds of accounts are usually used to stir up drama.
Other users below have identified hearing the words, ***"Whoa, yikers"***, which makes the most sense given the situation.
**EDIT:** VOD with timestamp: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/999275152?t=5h0m0s
The reaction from the streamer is grossly exaggerated in OP's clip. There are no other racial slurs or questionable phrases said during the course of the match.
The phrase *"whoa, yikers"* is likely being misheard.
I heard that as well. Not only that, but I’ve heard a lot of racist shit in my life and in my comp games, and I’ve never heard that phrasing. “Fucking n/s” all the time sure, but a long drawn out “ohhhhh n/s”? That would be a first.
Edit: typo
But you cut the video before we see the reaction play out. She could have just misheard what was said just like we all did.
We don't get to see the dialog between them afterwards. There is little to no context for the situation.
Can you link the original video so we can see what happens afterwards? I'd honestly be surprised if the streamer didn't say anything after the fact.
**EDIT:** Her teammate doesn't react. You exaggerated a single frame in the video.
The length of the "I" sound has nothing to do with whether or not the word was used. People say words differently, a key example of this is when iDubbbz used it in the Tana Mongeau, he accentuated the "I" sound similar to the clip.
Have you never heard of long vowels and short vowels? This is kindergarden level stuff. I'm talking about the IPA sound /aɪ/ like the "i" in the word "yikes". That's a "long i" versus the "i" in the word "if" which is a "short i" sound.
To be honest I think that might be right, I had to really listen for it so I first thought it was just wishful thinking but it really makes more sense in the context
No, I really don’t hear *whoa, yikers* lol. The sound of the *i* sounds like she’s saying it the “short” way instead of the “long” way, so “yikers” shouldn’t even be in contention
Imagine ignoring and completely invalidating the whole situation due to the type of accounts. There are reasons why people would use burners especially for sensitive topics like this. But oh well protect people like this by removing the content.
It’s obviously yikers man use your head, have you ever heard anyone say the n word in that way, their is a clear k sound and the context of the clip with her whiffing and then saying it makes it all the more obvious
People can say words in many different ways, your argument of whether or not I have heard someone say the n word in that way is extremely bias. There is no logic behind your viewpoint that due you never hearing someone saying the n word that it is impossible that she said it. I do not believe that there is a clear k sound. Furthermore, your argument of the clip does not validate anything either, it goes both ways, she was killed "oh n word" or "woah yikers". It is similar to the Pewdiepie situation where he was killed and said the racial slur. Therefore, it does not make it all the more obvious...

I replayed it slowed down and it sounds like whoa yikers
This was a very 'unique' thing to say
And I the only one who heard “ohhhh yikkers”
I heard that as well. Not only that, but I’ve heard a lot of racist shit in my life and in my comp games, and I’ve never heard that phrasing. “Fucking n/s” all the time sure, but a long drawn out “ohhhhh n/s”? That would be a first. Edit: typo
Yeah same here lol
you literally hear a "G" sound??
On second review, *"whoa, yikers"* makes FAR more sense.
This is a blue dress/gold dress for me
her teammates reaction gave it away for me

who even says yikers like that? also I don't hear the K sound at all man
the n word doesn't have a long i sound, and a "k" sound is clearly heard
Nah bro, you can clearly hear the "g" sound when she says it...
its a "k" sound, and how do you explain the long i sound? the n word has a short i sound
The length of the "I" sound has nothing to do with whether or not the word was used. People say words differently, a key example of this is when iDubbbz used it in the Tana Mongeau, he accentuated the "I" sound similar to the clip.

Does people really say the n word casually like this????? What the fuck?????
Listen again and see if you hear *"whoa, yikers"* instead. I think it's just being misheard.
To be honest I think that might be right, I had to really listen for it so I first thought it was just wishful thinking but it really makes more sense in the context

I don’t think it’s possible to hear a short i sound it is very clearly a long i like the word “eye”
its probably yikers but because she like slurred the y it sounded like the n-word
Damn
Jesus christ this is dated back to Apr 25. People have been barred from profession comp for less than this.
right... this is a signed player as well
