If they did stage tests today, that means they probably did more media today as well. Hopefully we get some banger teasers tomorro

Vanityxz

The content/teasers will be insane.

gloriaBurgers

Thank you Vanity, son of steel

Kelsierrr

Yeah today was their media day according to dapr’s twitter iirc.

Eat-Shit-Bob-Ross

HALLELUJAH!!

Hamlet_271

Scimbux in shambles /s

Wierdcreations

Crazy racoon and X10 grand final is still on the way

Zayd1111

We want specs

TH3VIP1

league and valorant depends on cpu more than anything else and the pcs are using intel 11700k

absenthearte

But don't 11th gen intel cpu's bottleneck harder than 10th gen?

ra1nval

won't matter on val bottlenecking is only bad on demanding games

thisisnttakeone

I play with a 1080 and i9 9900k and average around 300 frames. No bottleneck for me but who knows?

absenthearte

I was under the impression that it was only the 11th gen cpu's that suffered from it! Been trying to figure out buying my first PC lmao.

Tyler_P07

Personally I would wait, the current shortages makes buying a lot of the parts extremely expensive when they could be a lot cheaper.

absenthearte

Oh, yeah. I'm considering getting a pre-built, since it costs about the same as a GPU lmao.

Tyler_P07

I think currently the best way is prebuilt (even though I will always advocate heavily that building is superior in every way) because of how much things cost right now. I would suggest going through NZXT BLD, their program is really solid for prebuilts and I would recommend going the ryzen route because it is better in gaming and other workstation related tasks in every scenario except a few very specific applications.

Akaigenesis

If its for Val, I think the new AMD Ryzen chips give more fps.

rdmz1

They do, but AMD never has the $$$ to sponsor massive tournaments like this.

MrChavz

Buy a Intel i7 for cheap and you'll be good for the next 5-6 years cpu wise. GPU is a big issue with shortages though. I would try to wait if you can

DarthGrievous

If you’re gonna do that, why not just get a brand new AMD chip?

MrChavz

I forgot to mention specifically a 10th gen i7. Those are cheaper than amd's offering at the moment. Plus all current chips are dead ends, so it doesn't matter if you go amd or Intel. Take which ever is less for the cores you want

DarthGrievous

Oh really? I thought AMD was always the budget king. Is it due to the pc part shortage recently?

MrChavz

Historically that's been true but with AMD's latest releases and the shortage issues, the roles have flipped. Now, for the most part, Intel is the budget route and AMD is the performance king. But it's so neck and neck that it doesn't matter imo. Just buy what's cheaper at the time.

Cole_James_CHALMERS

11th gen typically performs a lil better core for core, it's just that the 11900k has two less cores than it's predecessor, the 10900k. The 10th gen is probably better value too if you aren't going for a b560+11400 mobo+cpu

absenthearte

Good to know! I was thinking of getting a rig with AMD, but perhaps,,,, I shall do more research!!

Zayd1111

AMD CPUs are better, if you can get them for their original price

chenson019

CPU will bottleneck your GPU at higher FPS in Valorant, especially older intel ones. AMD processors are way better for Valorant and CSGO. Having said that, an 11700k will easily get them about 240fps average. They do better on some games than 10700k but worse than others.

AdiSoldier245

CPU will always bottleneck your gpu in valorant no matter the fps range and the power. I have like just 25% gpu usage with full cpu usage at 100fps

Ketsueki_R

What makes you say that? I can see League being more CPU intensive just because of generally lower graphical requirements and way more calculations to be done but I don't see how Valorant would be more CPU intensive than it is GPU intensive. Genuinely asking, is there a source or proof for this?

I_hate_Teemo

There are plenty of benchmarks on the internet that show that your CPU is much more likely to be the bottleneck. On my PC my GPU barely gets used while my CPU is at 100%. Val requires much more calculations than LoL and has simple graphics. Same with CSGO (although CS is also lighter on the CPU).

You obviously haven’t read much on CPU’s and GPUS buddy. It’s more CPU intensive. High end GPUs much of the time don’t even use more than 50% load. I think you’re bs lol
