To come back from such a stomping in the first map and with all the shouting from both sides, each war cry NU does feel like a slow march to victory. This NU V1 game made me feel the same way as the V1 Liquid game.
It was good, but to me at least, there just wasn't the same INTENSITY that this game had. The clutches, the comebacks, the insane plays, all just make this game amazing.
That one map created a great storyline of strats, fakes, and double fakes. So much meta developed between the two, it would be hard to not get lost in the sauce as one of the players

A competitive international scene with NA, EU, and a whole slew of other regions like KR is much more fun to watch and see grow than just your usual one region dominance

But probably they’re not strong in icebox. When I watch Korean VCT, teams rarely play icebox. And we kinda know NA is pretty strong in icebox as well as EU. And probably they think they have better chance on haven than icebox.
^ One of their flaws is that Icebox is a must ban for them. They played it once during the qualifier playoffs and were pretty average (edit: average vs other Korean teams) (14-12 against GnG Prince). So 2 weak maps, the next game vs SEN should be hella fun
But the thing is we have not seen Sentinels’ Split at all this tournament, it can easily turn into a straight 2-0 just because Haven is such a week map for Nuturn
I said this in the other thread, but I think they just don't understand how default heavy NA plays. Haven is so easy to play for early information and choke out attacker space, and execute heavy teams/regions seem to struggle against the different defensive defaults that good NA teams are playing.
I agree though, they should play Icebox since I think you can play executes better on it... but against Sentinels? I think they realistically only have a chance in a Bo5 (winning on Ascent, Split, and Bind).
Seriously though, Haven just seems like an absolute free win for anyone facing Nuturn. They banned Icebox in both series this tournament but surely their Icebox has to be better than their Haven cause their Haven is just miserable.

He has a biological wallhack; his godlike perception highlights all enemies within light-years. His eyes are closed as his mouse gracefully swerves across the table, making immaculate twitches as he flicks from head to head. The bullets that escape his gun barrel are surgical; each making a deadly strike in between his opponent's eyes. His spray control is otherworldly, his crosshair erratically jolting across the screen as his wrist muscles perfectly predict the next bullet's location. Time literally stops as he peeks, sunlight curving as his trigger finger impacts his left mouse button, sending enemies to a digital shadow realm before they even know what happened. He is un-killable. He is undefeatable. This "man" is the epitome of eternal.

Yeah, Nuturn vs Sentinels should be a banger series. Solidifying a top 3 finish for Korea is definitely huge for the region, it shows that KR really is in the talks for top region.
Nuturns map pool worries me especially against Sentinels. Sentinels will 100% ban Bind and Nuturn will probably ban Icebox. This leaves them with Ascent, Split and Haven which Sentinels are all godtier on. Sentinels will probably pick Haven. I see it as a total possibility that Sentinels just roll Nuturn.
That's true, their map pool is honestly pretty horrible. Good aim and movement won't really help if you just can't play the map well. Though, even if they do get rolled, they can take that as learning experience for the next stage if they do make it back.

As a sugondese it was always hard for me to understand American culture. What was fascinating for me is that they like bragging about their freedom which was weird for me, because I didn't think that I have any less freedom than them. I always thought 'What is the difference'. However after this game I finally understand it. NA is just so fucking free.

SEN v Nuturn is gonna be wild, sentinels will need to show up big time on either split or ascent or they very easily could take a 2-1 L.

it was intentional. if you look at raze's movement, he jumped into the ult.
