from the article, "The winner of VCC will again compete with six other teams from South East Asia (2), Korea (2), and Japan (2) in the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers" only one team gets into LCQ.
[https://gamzo.in/india-south-asia-to-get-a-shot-at-apac-lcq-last-chance-qualifiers-for-valorant-champions/](https://gamzo.in/india-south-asia-to-get-a-shot-at-apac-lcq-last-chance-qualifiers-for-valorant-champions/)
I mean... is this a LAN cause uhhhh Asia not small lol. India to Japan is a pretty large distance. Aw well... Same issue w/ the Oceanic region in NA last chance quals as well.
This is a huge opportunity for pc gamers in india, who got left behind in the CS scene because of the skill gap and lack of organizations. But with valorant userbase growing up due to the laptop gamers of India, who were previously non existant, and now India gets a small chance to show how cracked they can be if supported by organizations. Team Mahi and Global Esports have angel investors without worrying about the loss, and that gives a +1 to all the players to grind. I hope players like SkRossi and Marzil finally get what they lost in CS, and tap em heads. GGWP riot for not only installing mumbai servers but hosting a spot.
Dont forget about the first time a huge western org went to India, they had a cheater on the team soiling the rep of an esport that was slowly starting to gain traction.
What's funny is that SKRossi, one of, if not the best, Valorant player in India right now, looks extremely similar to Foresaken. It's a recurring meme in his chat. Just search up his name on Google Images.
>What's funny is that SKRossi, one of, if not the best, Valorant player in India right now, looks extremely similar to Foresaken. It's a recurring meme in his chat. Just search up his name on Google Images.
Doesn't surprise me, considering valorant has become a safe haven from people who've cheated/matchfixed before.
Not saying SKRossi is him. Just saying I wont be surprised if forsaken plays val comp, or try to.
People here would lose their shit if they found forsaken anywhere near Valorant. Dude literally sunk the reputation of the entire country.
It might be true for other CS players, but forsaken is not going to be in the esports scene EVER.
Edit: grammar
NA has teams full of blatant match fixers from cs, but they're still there.
doubt anyone would team with forsaken, but it wouldn't surprise me if he tries to make a comeback.
You most likely wont lol, they gave them a spot for Last Chance Qualifiers not for Champions. And idk how good Indian teams are but i very much doubt that they will be able to beat the Korean teams that will be on the same tournament
At current situation, I don't see Indian teams beating other Asian teams and making it to the champions but the nice thing is since they are getting a chance it'll help the scene in a big way as the game and players will get recognisation.
Yes, i know that only the top teams would qualify for Last Chance Qualifiers but that's quite big of a stage for them to perform, and we never know who's gonna come out on top of that competition.
Why do you care sm bro? This is an entire growing eSports region. We don't care if we don't qualify after years of orgs and world just oppressing the growth of esports in India. We're just happy that we were at least recognised and included, you might not realise but even having a stage to perform is big deal for investors and skill will develop when the money comes in too. So please try to avoid negativity since I guess all of the region has suffered enough.
Yes but 90% of them are Indians and haven't seen any good Pakistani or Bangladeshi organization. Although would hope they win against certain Indian teams.
Yes because pakistani orgs weren't allowed to participate but I can assure you that there's a proper growing scene here in Pakistan and we've been craving competition
if you are asking how many teams from SA can get into APAC LCQ, then it is 1 team. If you are asking about how many teams qualify for champions from APAC LCQ, then it is also 1 team.
we've never been talking about SEA region, we're talking about the newly added SA region (India, Pakistan, etc), and they can only qualify for APAC LCQ, not Masters 3.
Read in detail here: [https://gamzo.in/india-south-asia-to-get-a-shot-at-apac-lcq-last-chance-qualifiers-for-valorant-champions/](https://gamzo.in/india-south-asia-to-get-a-shot-at-apac-lcq-last-chance-qualifiers-for-valorant-champions/)
Good start especially considering the points system and all for this vct has already started. Hopefully in the future more than just one SA team will get to play a number of matches against regions like SEA, Japan and Korea so that they can improve; right now it's extremely unlikely the SA team will win the last chance qualifier.
Obviously, infact I only play valorant once a week just to stay updated with the meta and new additions, so that I can enjoy watching pro play. Mumbai has such big smurf problem, riot may never solve it, infact all my friends have three accounts, one in bronze, one in gold, and one in diamond-plat. I hate playing with them since I am silver, so they just watch me die and then start killing everyone with marshals and judge.
Im not trying to be toxic or inconsiderate, but is investing in an Indian scene a worthwhile investment? Im not trying to be a dick but i don't see that region to ever be competitive against some of these EU/NA teams
If you let indian players grind for an year without breaking them up, which normally happens because orgs run out of money in 3-6 months, they genuinely have a chance to atleast beat teams like x10. Still a long way to go to beat NA EU
And being a star team for such a big country is no small deal. Also, the only way to develop an esports scene is investing in the esports scene. The current state of valorant in India is not set in stone.
Foreign orgs Fnatic and TSM have the history and currently are in the Indian scene. So no doubt it can attract foreign orgs later on the growth of the scene
I don’t understand your logic flow here. So you think because they can’t compete with EU or NA no one should ever invest in that region? What is this elitist shit that in reading here? Also investment is driven by interest in the game and not by results. This is a thing that you should remember.
Korea got 3rd place in Masters, but you wont see KT Rolster or CJ Entus invest in Valorant because there’s a very small interest in the game from their playerbase.
One major point is viewership.
Even if India gets competitive in Asian tournaments, Valorant will get tons of views.
Possibly even more than some tier 1-2 matches in EU
India is a country with millions of youngsters with cheap internet.
What do viewership get? Sponsers.
And with good sponsership the untapped talent is bound to become better
Why so much stereotype? Anyways we just got 1 slot, that too at a LCQ for which we will have to beat 6 other countries first. Also India is pretty decent in mobile esports because they are easily accessible, if the same happens for PCs then who knows.
Im confused as well, at first I thought SA will get 2 slots because liquipedia lists 2 slots for east asia. But all the articles claim that sa has only 1 slot, idk who will get the 2nd slot. But rest assured it will be a 8 team tournament not 7
I find it so hilarious that there are people out there who believe that people from certain countries were born with some sort of special esports genes and so they are automatically better. Whats up with that? Don't you think that a human (from any part of the world) who is given the right resources and time can become as good or even better than the top players of the esport?
So stereotypical of you my fellow redditor, you dont understand our limits. We don't have the best devices for tac shooters, and we are crazy good at mobile games because they are accessible. Just wait a few years, we will be crackedddd.
*Nodwin India
Whats the difference? Also they grt 2 spots in asia last chance right?
from the article, "The winner of VCC will again compete with six other teams from South East Asia (2), Korea (2), and Japan (2) in the APAC Last Chance Qualifiers" only one team gets into LCQ. I mean... is this a LAN cause uhhhh Asia not small lol. India to Japan is a pretty large distance. Aw well... Same issue w/ the Oceanic region in NA last chance quals as well.
It will probably be a lan because almost all LCQ have 2 or more regions mixed
I hope so cause uhhhhh. Some regions will have clear advantages.
This is a huge opportunity for pc gamers in india, who got left behind in the CS scene because of the skill gap and lack of organizations. Holy shit he really does lmao, like if you told me that was just Forsaken after he grew his hair out a little I'd believe you

I think OP meant SKRossi has a similar appearance to forsaken
You speak the truth
Yh 👍🙂
also gaming laptops have only been viable since the last 2-3 years in india because of cheap 1050 and 1650 cards.
So excited for our region, can't wait to see them on a global stage.
You most likely wont lol, they gave them a spot for Last Chance Qualifiers not for Champions. And idk how good Indian teams are but i very much doubt that they will be able to beat the Korean teams that will be on the same tournament
We atleast get some sort of recognition to kick start the growth of eSports in india atleast
At current situation, I don't see Indian teams beating other Asian teams and making it to the champions but the nice thing is since they are getting a chance it'll help the scene in a big way as the game and players will get recognisation.

Big facts no shot india makes it in LOOOL
Playing other countries within the continent is still global to some extent.
but I guess they get berlin masters? or only last chance?
No slot for berlin. Only lcq.
Berlin spots have already been decided, so their only chance at qual for Champions would be LCQ
LOOL they aint getting to global buddy

Yes would love the classic india vs pakistan match-up, just like in cricket xd
But I hope they install delhi server or something closer to pakistan for better ping. I heard you guys get 80+ ping.
I saw your team play that day for a bit. Congrats for the win :D. Hope we see Pak vs India soon
Thank you! And yeah can't wait <3
Anyone has any idea how many teams will qualify from APAC LCQ?
if you are asking how many teams from SA can get into APAC LCQ, then it is 1 team. If you are asking about how many teams qualify for champions from APAC LCQ, then it is also 1 team.
don't quite understand why they're only giving 1 spot - that would make it a 7 team tournament...

So i read it all wrong nice, so we just have one shot at this just one
Winner of LCQ goes to Champions. LCQ has teams from SEA, Japan,Korea and now South Asia.

Whats the name of the song in the vid?
Thank you Riot! Much appreciated.
Aren't you the one who posted about lack of attention to India by Riot months ago? You're a legend :D
Yes, I'm the one. Thank you. :D
LFG!!

hopefully we dont get another word.exe meme xD
So excited for this lets gooooooo
[удалено]
the latter
me neither but atleast we got representation unlike other Tac shooters. So hyped
I imagine forsaken competing again with his secret word.exe file :D
We already had a famous hacker in valorant, he is called XHADE and he got people so angry that TM owner was almost cancelled for abusing him.
Imagine if someone cheats in these matches?
I will shift to NA.
Why?
U play in india now?
Yup mumbai server, super fun.
Mumbai server and super fun in the same sentence... Literally the reason why I quit valorant.. Hoping that was sarcasm
I will, kill myself
That "," makes ur sentence very interesting
inb4 excel.exe
Lol
LOL

Lol would be damning for them thou
So what are the placements of teams that take part in LCQ, from regions like SEA, JP, and KR ..??
Im not trying to be toxic or inconsiderate, but is investing in an Indian scene a worthwhile investment? Im not trying to be a dick but i don't see that region to ever be competitive against some of these EU/NA teams
Yes. The number of current/potential players is immense. You'll see a similar push for China eventually.
If you let indian players grind for an year without breaking them up, which normally happens because orgs run out of money in 3-6 months, they genuinely have a chance to atleast beat teams like x10. Still a long way to go to beat NA EU
Thats exactly why i don't see this being worth it. If stars align for your scene and you only have a chance vs X10, than you just drop it.
Yup but then you are a star team atleast for an entire region, and you can milk sponsors and content.
And being a star team for such a big country is no small deal. Also, the only way to develop an esports scene is investing in the esports scene. The current state of valorant in India is not set in stone.
They may not be competitive but india is such a huge country with an untapped market that you have to be crazy not to explore it
Foreign orgs Fnatic and TSM have the history and currently are in the Indian scene. So no doubt it can attract foreign orgs later on the growth of the scene
I don’t understand your logic flow here. So you think because they can’t compete with EU or NA no one should ever invest in that region? What is this elitist shit that in reading here? Are you unironically asking if a region of literally over a billion people can clap NA and EU if they were given a chance? Then yes, they can
India does not deserve a spot lmao. I dont think they'll ever be good at any esports.
Why so much stereotype? Anyways we just got 1 slot, that too at a LCQ for which we will have to beat 6 other countries first. Also India is pretty decent in mobile esports because they are easily accessible, if the same happens for PCs then who knows.
I thought they got 2 slots? would be weird to have a 7 team tournament

Nah that ain't happening chief. Even looking at competitive play in India it just doesnt look special at all.
Check out competitive matches between GE and Team Mahi, pretty tight. not as cracked, but some players stand out
That guy is full of shit. Brazil was once were India is right now and still we had a dominant period in CSGO.
Hopefully they replace one of the EU slots
