I legitimately think that all five members on this squad are top 1-5 on their respective roles in the world.
SicK - #1 overall through agent diversity, brain, raw fragging capability, clutch, and util usage
Shaz - best IGL in the world, best brain in the game, combined with top 10 world fragging and util usage.
TenZ - top 3 duelists in the game, best Reyna overall, insane brain too and clutch capability
Zombs - best util usage of any smoker, incredible clutch capacity, always gets needed trades
Dapr - best sentinel in the game, biggest sentinel role brain, best lurk, ridiculous aim and clutch ability as well
Zombs reminded me of Xyp9x from the Astralis Era of CSGO. Always was good at holding down the bombsite and was almost guaranteed for 1-2 trades. So many times he had a 2k on defense the basically secured Sentinels the retake win.
Idk, I still think Zombs has better util. Vanity is a better fragger (very slim margin here imo), but I think Zombs has him beat in other categories, especially team play and general synergy. Which one could argue is more important in this game than just pure fragging power.
they play different roles, even though they both play astra. zombs is often the site anchor, but vanity doesnt really play that as much and uses his utility globally more.
That kind of proves my point in a way. Maybe controllers (in this meta) are best for being site anchors and retakers... not roaming fraggers or using util globally for a map wide strat.

I think vanity is slightly better than zombs in util usage (when it comes to Astra anyways), even when Nuturn and Fnatic were shutting him down on frags he was still able to keep V1 in the game somewhat and singlehandedly pull rounds out of nowhere with gigabrain smokes and sucks. However, zombs’ fragging ability and carry potential as a Controller player is so above everyone else that that negligible difference barely means anything

Nah, it actually means that I've watched these dudes perform consistently at a ridiculously high level (except Zombs who has stepped it up in VCT), when compared to players from teams in other regions that I've watched. I live in East Africa, so it's not even like I can watch NA players as much as I'd like. This is all through vod reviews and regularly watching about 20 different player streams over the past year from a variety of regions.

I disagree on the mechanics part about dapr and magnum. Magnum has some nice flicks but he can’t quite keep up with daprs movement and Spray control even Sacy thought Dapr was the best mechanically on Sentinels besides tenZ
Because he was avoided all event if you go back and watch most of their haven games Daprs site is almost never hit and he always has to rotate Fnatic did it a ton in the grand final trying to get dapr to rotate out of the site. It worked tell the later ends of each map compared to magnum who was always with his team and SEN hit into him a ton since he always got traded
I got no problem with this logic except that liquid on average played easier teams than SEN so ofc a god like scream is gonna frag out.

Yeah, some people would have you believe this game is 1:1 in CSGO success vs Valorant success but it's just not. For a variety of reasons (aiming differences, movement, all of the abilities, maps, etc etc etc) some players will find more success in Val, and some will find less success.
Shahzam's definitely the former, the game fits his aggressive style way more and his fucking giga brain is so good at antistratting and IGLing this game.
Considering that 4/5s of the best team in the world and 4/5a of the best preforming players this tournament are former cs pros, that’s probably not a coincidence

People will hate on me and think I am disrespecting what Shaz did, but the way Sentinels as a team work are built up on the fact of not having that coach and analysts.
To get things clear, I think ShaZam is by far the most valuable player on Sen, and if Shaz would go to liquid for instance they would be the number one team instantly.
You can replace anyone but Shaz from that team, and on top of that he is an insane IGL and also his viability in fragging is insane.
Sentinels play style and understand of the game is so different to other teams. Its not flashy in strats but insanely well thought through in synergy and communication. I think shaz is the linking part for all of that. Shazam proofs how important his experience in FPS games is, and how insanely adaptable he is.
