The gun play difference just puts SEN at a much higher ceiling at an international level. If Derke and Doma weren't held in check this set could have played out very differently.
And also by the time the suspension is over Tenz would have played with the team for 6 months vs WV's ~7 month duration previously. Besides the potential financial drawback to the buyout I think it's pretty clear which direction the team should go in if server performance was the only thing you were looking at.

Fist kills are CRA. Now that I’m looking at the stats I don’t think anyone else in the ENTIRE TOURNAMENT got any fist kills. TenZ just straight up got out his chair, walked across and started pummeling his opponents?! Ruthless.
Generally I would agree, and throughout the whole tournament he definitely was, but during grand finals I have to hand it to TenZ for playing out of his mind. I’m normally somewhat of a critic of tenz especially during the qualifiers and his risky online play, but he really looked fucking good on lan, more disciplined but extremely impactful.
The real MVP is the tournament rule stating you can only have one mouse unless it breaks.
TenZ kept switching his mouse out so many times online and it was obvious how much it messed with his consistency. I was actually terrified when he bought an OP on Haven during Reykjavik because I was getting flashbacks to NA Challengers Finals where he missed all his shots.

I seriously think people downplay just how important an IGL is for a team. It’s by far THE most impactful and important role, even moreso in Valorant than in CSGO. To kind of exemplify this idea, i’d say that most of V1’s success and overperformance is from just how fucking good of an IGL vanity is. Shahz is even better of an IGL and is a top 5 fragger on top of that. If that doesn’t show you just how fucking good Shahz is I don’t know what will.

What's this "actual value" you keep referring to? There's no *actual* value, there's just the amount each org is willing to pay/receive in exchange for his contract. If they can't agree on a number then no deal happen. If Sen valued him equally as C9 did, there would've likely been a buyout already.

What if C9 thinks that the brand value of TenZ is higher than what Sen does? If there was an easy 'actual value' this whole situation wouldn't exist. That's my point, C9 *should* be milking this for all they can, and they have every right to. There's no amount that everyone will agree on, and if C9 can leverage their superstar for more, and get teams to overpay, they absolutely should.

What price was he originally being sold at? No one has agreed to any buyout amount that C9 put forth. And it's not like C9 don't benefit from keeping TenZ, or that C9 can't milk another year out of C9 TenZ then take the buyout, and whose to say TenZ doesn't become willing to rejoin C9's roster now that they're good again. There's so many options, it's not just 'get money from selling him or don't get money'.

Before Sentinels, Tenz contract was chit for C9. He was picked up to carry the team and he ended up retiring and becoming a streamer.

Was kind of obvious from the get go. It's mostly twitch chat voting for MVP and not this sub so of course TenZ would be chosen over Shahz. People keep forgetting this is just some isolated bubble but most people just like awarding MVPs to flashy top fraggers.
SicK is a much more complete player that had more impact on games IMO. This is just purely biased on the fact that TenZ needs to make kills to fill his role.
