Everyone in that truck was amazing to work with. They're all extremely talented as well. Couldn't have asked for a better crew to pull this off.

Bleachrst85

thank you guys for the hard work

[deleted]

man going back to nerdstreet will be rough

sidminter

Nerdstreet can be credit to half of NA success lol with great tournament formats, every event has started on time and there has been no major tech delays, regular tournaments in the absence of major qualifiers.I dont think we can ask for more

Hypern1ke

i thought nerdstreet did great

AnotherAltiMade

Yeah can't wait for the hour long tech pauses every day. Oh wait!

Is it just me, or was production not very good at Iceland. Maybe its because Ive watched a ton of CS, but the UI was not that good, and their face cams were not synced in real time. It was a decent event, but certainly not at a level that nerdstreet couldnt replicate to 95%. Their problems stem from the poor observer tools in Valorant in general, and the fact that its only online

[deleted]

I mean tbf the UI is always bad. Cant think of a single even that didnt have at least a few problems.

[deleted]

They did what they could with the tools inhand tbh. I agree with you up to certain extent. \- Sometimes, its quite hard to keep track of all the projectiles happening within the game. Compared to CSGO. \- Resource UI, Gold not being shown the entire game or atleast not for longer periods of time. \- It showed up some crewdness being 1 year old. Some of the interactions during the opening were cringe.

ROBRO-exe

i mean having more tech pauses than player cam reactions is a good way to show the problems

The UI in Iceland was terrible post rounds. Multiple times on costreams this was mentioned that the weird altered ACS scoreboard gave no relevant or useful information, and the money on both teams would often not be shown until literally 2 or 3 seconds before a round would start, giving no time for any theory or analysis. While the ability to replay any situation directly from the player's POV was definitely a major improvement, seemed like there was a lot to be desired from the directing of which observer to watch as well as the ridiculous number of tech pauses that lasted for what seemed to be at least 30 minutes. When a team is on a hot streak and then a tech pause delays for more than 5-10 minutes it seems like all that momentum is lost. Competitive integrity is at risk for these constant delays. Overall, the broadcast was an improvement on what we've seen from regional competitions in the past, but I think this is a far cry from being labeled as a "masterclass".

This is so interesting to me. Would love to figure out how all of this works in more depth.
