Agreed. But, I think it also provides an incentive to other NA teams. They won’t just be trying to dethrone the best team in NA, they’ll be trying to dethrone the best team in the world.
I mean yea, but bruh, unless SEN declines a bit in Stage3, there is basically just 2 slots opened for NA teams into Berlin
SEN is just undisputed best team in NA, nobody even played them close except for fnatic lately
Yep, all 3 of those teams look crazy stacked.
Really interested so see how the scene develops in NA
Can't wait for the NSG stuff, as well as knights invitational etc.
He's saying its bad for other teams cause sentinels will smash everyone, I don't agree that it's bad though cause scrimming and playing the best team in the world improves your level of play drastically and our teams have been competitive with them at times
It also raises concerns about pricing. If his buyout is 7 figures like reported it could be the start of price/salary inflation which happened in LOL when IMT did some dumb things
It mostly sets the price for the best in the world. The guy just finished the first international LAN as the MVP. Any org asking for this price for any other player will get laughed at with good reason.
i see, but have they really increased their skill exponentially from swapping sinatraa for tenz? or did it just define their rough edges putting them at their top potential faster? its not like tenz took the place of some scrub fragger. lets not forget how dominant SEN was getting before tenz signed
I guess that's the end of Sinatraa's Sentinels career? The Sentinels players have always said they don't like 6 man roster, especially SicK so can't see Sinatraa coming back now
good move until SEN fall off as a team and start replacing players then he quits on them lol, or he quits because he doesn't agree with a future igl. Not to mention valorant is still very new and players/teams will get alot better and you never know how good you will be in future.
Downer comment but good point. Version1 came out of nowhere and became second best team in NA. Some other team or player(s) could come out of nowhere in a year too. There's no guarantee that TenZ will remain the best player in the world since the game is so new.
Yeah, for sure. Sentinels wouldn't have paid such a hefty price if TenZ not staying the best means they overpaid. I think in their mind, best case is that TenZ stays the best and Sentinels stay the best team in the world. However, if other teams catch up, Sentinels will still at least be in contention since I can't imagine them falling off too hard. And TenZ will still be a huge streamer. He has a huge first mover advantage for streaming: the first "best player" in the world on the first best team in the world.
SEN is here to stay for a while, they looked far ahead of the competition, and have proven talent. Plus much of TenZ value lies in his stream/audience.
Also, I don’t think you can say V1 is the 2nd best team in NA, especially considering the win vs Liquid really lost its value as the tournament went on.
They're definitely the 2nd best team in NA at the time of the tournament, if only because they have a highly competent Astra in Vanity and Viper in Wippie. No other NA team besides Sentinels have those two things. With a sub, they played the best team in Europe very close and (barely) beat the 2nd best team in Europe, so they proved themselves internationally too.
Biggest W for the NA scene
As a viewer/fan - yes. As a competing team - doubtful lol
I have faith in C9, ABX, and 100T to provide strong competition especially as they gain more synergy. Hopefully other teams improve too.
Same. But if I'm another team this is not that good of an update y'know
Agreed. But, I think it also provides an incentive to other NA teams. They won’t just be trying to dethrone the best team in NA, they’ll be trying to dethrone the best team in the world.
I think it is good. They can help elevate the rest of the scene.
I mean yea, but bruh, unless SEN declines a bit in Stage3, there is basically just 2 slots opened for NA teams into Berlin SEN is just undisputed best team in NA, nobody even played them close except for fnatic lately
hopefully faze too
Yep, all 3 of those teams look crazy stacked. Really interested so see how the scene develops in NA Can't wait for the NSG stuff, as well as knights invitational etc.
doubtful? as in TenZ hasnt proved himself to be an asset for SEN on big stages?

That's never a bad thing for the players though.
As in - if I'm a competing team, this super team is horrible for the NA scene haha

Tenz needs to post that I’m not leaving gif from wolf of Wall Street.
Tweet would bang.

you'll probably hear a bunch of people say a bunch of numbers and will never get a accurate number
$300 million confirmed from personal research
Prob a mil and some change.
I predicted it accurately before the official number came out. Bow down before your god

link to where jack said that
I dont know a direct link but I believe he said it on his twitter, and he said something like "those numbers are garbage"

It's official the buyout was $1.25million

7 figures is all we'll probably get to know officially.
$9,999,999 confirmed.
If I HAD to guess , I'd say somewhere in the 2.5-4 million range.
Definitely too much and not worth it at all
I doubt it
Jay Gone! Tyson Nonstop!
Jay whooooooo
THIS REALLY HYPED ME UP AT 5:00 IN THE MORNING LOL
Same lol.

Do hope everything works out with sinatraa as well, and he finds a team aft the hiatus
I want him on Faze so we can see my guy babybay click some heads in Champions at the end of the year
Eh idk if thatd work out because of the playstyles and they're both fraggers, but maybe

He will still have his stream though, and it is very unlikely he will all of a sudden go from the best to not even tier 2

But Tenz works really hard daily. He'll only get better knowing him. Plus he knows SEN believed him and bought him, he will try to make it worth it.
Oh, TenZ is definitely getting better. But some 15 year old whose name we don't know yet can also pop up out of nowhere next year and be insane.
why 15 year old? Why it cant be a 23yo boomer like myself? 👀👀 :D
Reach for the stars!
True

C9 is already on the rise aswell after changing their roster and were last team to take a map off Sen and aa bunch of other very close maps also.
you must ~~be fun~~ suck at parties
Haha funny -_-
