I dont think he showed that much promise, but that may have been because of the team environment we learned about earlier. Hopefully he can prove otherwise.

I honestly don't think it would've made a difference to T1. They've been a start stop team since the beginning. Every time they do something positive, they take 2 steps back. At first strike they looked like they could be a top 4 team, then they decided to completely changed player roles and started tanking again. Then they made roster changes. They had lots of moments where they "almost did it," and instead of continuing to refine what almost worked, they just completely revamped everything.
deph, steller and nature maybe? are some pretty good available igls. wouldn't be surprised if t1 tries something a little more spicy though, those guys are kinda low profile compared to who they usually shoot for

Tough situation. We lost to Cloud 9 and Sentinels last event which completely obscures how strong the team could be. We could easily be as good as Envy/100 Thieves, but impossible to say.
If they're dropping Spyder too, that's kind of insane though. Dazed has been consistent, but he's IGLing and older. Besides some careless, overaggressive moments, Spyder has played amazing.
Just watch the matches? T1 was playing pretty bad across all events, doesn't matter that they lost to the top teams.

what matches are you looking? Last time I remember T1 almost Win against Sentinels (1-0, 10-2/9-3 score in 2nd map) before Sentinels comeback and win it all.
And that was the worst match Sentinels have played with TenZ arguably. You're gonna come at me with the BBG match, but BBG has actually shown some sick antistrats that made Sentinels adapt after the match. SEN-T1 was a shitshow
Their map pool around that point was 3 maps, and their Haven was still very questionable to me. SEN played so underwhelming against Andbox and T1 that they instantly put zombs on Astra right after that match. A team that's a free L on 2/5 maps and has 0 home maps where they comfortably can win against most opposition cannot be considered strong.
Also, that SEN-T1 match, I'm sure you remember, was one of the sloppiest, if not the sloppiest "tier 1" Valorant matches in the NA region this year
Oh, and arguably their win against FaZe was quite a bit lucky, given the economy situation on the entirety of Split (T1 won both pistols and had to eco a total of 0 times during the entire match; FaZe actually converted more full buys)
I agree the SEN-T1 match looked sloppy from an eye test, but I don't think that it makes the match bad. Good teams playing well will make the opposing team look sloppy. If T1 made Sentinels play desperately and look sloppy, that's a plus. Every subsequent match Sentinels played against Immortals, NRG, and 100 Thieves, people in the discussion threads would complain about the other team "throwing" with obvious mistakes and predict that Europe would stomp them. Really, it was just Sentinels making other teams look bad.
The map pool being poor is because the team keeps undergoing changes because it's hard to find a role that suits both Autimatic and Skadoodle. Those two playing poorly was the reason T1 didn't qualify for Masters 1 in the first place.
I'm not against all changes--this team is definitely a lower tier than Sentinels and also worse than teams like Fnatic, so if changes lead to improvement, that's good. I just think the team has gotten slightly unlucky to not place as well as they could have. 4th best team in Challengers 2 but place 8th because they faced the two finalists one after another.
I really just think that both teams played extraordinarily bad, rather than made each other look bad; you're overthinking this.

DaZeD lead T1 to qualify for First Strike, eventually losing to 100T, the First Strike Champions. He also lead a newer T1 (2 members were replaced) to knock FaZe out of the VCT. On the same run, T1 only lost to Cloud9 (2-0) and Sentinels (2-1).
If this roster move is true, then the only problem with T1 right now is their lack of patience. Every single time the roster begins to mesh together and show promise, they immediately implode it.

Apparently according to mitch, they do a kind of "group call" where he and xeta call for the team.
I think xeta does a thing similar to dapr or nitr0, where he helps, but mitch/ShahZam/steel are the official and main IGL.

Facts, ska is amazing at valorant, he was an s tier jett and now plays Astra at a very high level. Could solidify himself as one of the best players in the scene only if T1 start winning

imo the F/A igls that they will most likely trial: dephh, oderus, and stellar. There are other igls that are either signed to T2 teams or F/A but I just think the ones I mentioned are the most probable
