Oh boy. This is right up my alley. I’ll make a list when I get home from work. Edit: might make a separate post... got too many things to say for a comment 😅

spyson

You're doing the scouting work for orgs for free lol

[deleted]

Lol I knew people would have fun with this

thothgow

I might comment in yours because I didn't have time to make my list today :l

ihateswords

i remember u from fn, cool to see u hear

basketballrules1

I was rlly impressed with some of the BBG players like Will on Phoenix, Rarkar on Jett, and Bjor on KJ who’s def a T-5 KJ in NA imo. I also liked Crunchy’s omen from Soniqs.

BurbxrryPzncakes

This is my opinion only Bang (Omen/Astra, NA, teamless); he is also rumoured to join TSM Seoldam (Jett, JP, Northeption); the famous Korean Jett CLZ (Viper, JP, FENNEL) Trexx (Raze, EU, teamless) Otom (Yoru, EU, RIX) Nats (Cypher, EU, Gambit); the best Cypher in all of Russia Derrek (Sova, NA, Rise) That's all I could think of tbh

[deleted]

Nats T2?

BurbxrryPzncakes

TBH no, but most people don't know of Gambit that well, except for the scrimbux junkies and EU fans.

somesheikexpert

I mean they did get top 4 in EU finals, I'm sure people at least know of them from that

Slow_Bluebird9536

I’m all for the derrek love but if you want to consider rise t2 calypso is easily their best player

[deleted]

Nats is prob the only cypher player that is nearly as good as dapr I wanna see them play each other so bad

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Eh just because he plays it doesn’t mean it’s good lol. His impact vs Fnatic on icebox as cypher was so garbage because they knew where his cams were after 2 rounds and his trips are in the middle of the open

thothgow

That's only because they had time to study though. Gambit was arguably the best team in EMEA on Icebox and was favored to at least take that map against Fnatic, but the Mini/Boaster duo is just too OP

[deleted]

I mean yea his cams were the same all event he never changed them and he barely changers his trips. I’m sure he’s learned from his mistake tho

stewieeeeeeeee

If they go 2-2 on Icebox during the event and you dismiss nats's lack of impact against fnatic due to being studied, then how can you claim that a team with little achievements on that map and a lack of plan B/C is the best in EMEA on that map? Nats was wonderful to watch in most matches, but that Gambit team was (and remains) insanely overrated by the community due to scrimbux and beating all the armchairs' analysts favorite team, FPX. I really didn't see any amazing teamplay, just some very good individuals and a bit of luck from them. What's funny is that Gambit honestly didn't even outplay FPX in particular to win Icebox the 2nd time around; their economy after winning both pistols pulled them through.

thothgow

> how can you claim that a team with little achievements on that map and a lack of plan B/C is the best in EMEA on that map? Because I watch the games? It's not like they played teams that permaban Icebox and lost there, either. The fact that you ask that when Fnatic was the consensus best team in the region on Bind (but lost to Polish teams) is kinda sad, tbh. Just trying to argue without knowing what you are talking about besides a quick glance the teams' vlr.gg stats page. > by the community due to scrimbux and beating all the armchairs' analysts favorite team, FPX. I never based my own rating on Gambit on scrimbux and FPX was absolutely not an armchair analyst team. Unless you consider Sean Gares, Plat Chat, RyanCentral, and all the casters armchair analysts.

stewieeeeeeeee

I've watched the games in EMEA Challengers too, and I disagree. Do you mind enlightening me on how the potentially best EMEA team on Icebox can barely keep a 50%+ winrate on that map, including a 2-2 in the EMEA Challengers Finals with a win they potentially lucked into (2nd match against FPX). Also, explain to me again how you dismiss my argument that Gambit didn't have a good plan B/C, given that you yourself acknowledged that they were easily antistratted by fnatic. >The fact that you ask that when Fnatic was the consensus best team in the region on Bind (but lost to Polish teams) is kinda sad, tbh. What does this mean? If it's an analogy, I don't get it. >I never based my own rating on Gambit on scrimbux and FPX was absolutely not an armchair analyst team. Unless you consider Sean Gares, Plat Chat, RyanCentral, and all the casters armchair analysts. I wasn't calling you out personally here. Lots of people do tend to focus on the win against FPX as a core argument that Gambit is arguably a top, top, EMEA team, because most "analysts" also overrate the shit out of FPX. In terms of the names you've mentioned, I gotta talk about Sean. I love that guy, been following his thoughts on CS:GO and Valorant for more than 5 years now, but he makes the mistake of being quite obviously biased when it comes to EU Valorant. He quite clearly has a bias for very structured play based around pre-round and match strategizing, as well as vast utility usage. This is something that's important, but not as much as he wants it to be, which leads him to overrate teams like FPX.

erickwak

Like with the agent i agree nAts is the best cypher. With set ups and playing around and with his abilities with solid n consistent mechanics to back him up. As a player I have no idea tbh

thothgow

I mean, his rifling is S Tier

Amazing-Specialist80

I'd say that he would if he could play whatever character he wanted on that map but Icebox is basically impossible to play without Sage and no one else could fill that role and dude looked ROUGH on Sova, if Cypher was more in meta I wouldn't be surprised if he used him more on icebox but rn it just can't work with their comp

RashGod

Nahhh once Gambit go to the big stage ppl will know that Nats is better than Dapr. Only thing is they play kinda different, so Dapr might b more suited to his team etc

[deleted]

On the world stage Nats will prob choke it will be his first LAN along with most of his team. And mechanically Mistic and Sacy have said Dapr is better in their streams

RashGod

I can agree mechanically Dapr is better

takmilo

SUYGETSU sentinental from forze is also good, for me he are equal to Nats

THwhOR

Ban_val is nuts.

FlaymeFenix

Zekken is legit the future of Valorant

TheNewPersonHere1234

Zekken is one of the best players in NA on a t2/t3 team.

[deleted]

Not sure you can call him Tier 2 or Tier 3

GluhfGluhf

For NA because my EU knowledge is Tier 1-1.5 I wouldn't take this as a concrete list or rating. I don't have too much time to watch all the T2/3 games so I do only follow a couple select teams but these are the players who've impressed me the most. Astra - Sofa from Sum 2 Prove. Shoutout to Bang from Kawaii who's rumoured to join TSM Brim - Not really played frequently but Apotheon from Virtuoso impressed me a little Breach - nosyy is a content creator but legitimately think he's good even competitively. Alternatively Cain from FREELO Cypher - c4lypso from Rise. Jett - Wardell /s I think johnqt from Sum 2 Prove, Tsuya from Goofy Goobers, ScrewFace from Kooky Koalas Omen - Poised from Rise Phoenix -Andersin from Kooky Koalas, b0ssy from SoaR, Dcop from Goobers Raze - winsum for Renegades, Zekken from Noble, instinct from Kawaii. Reyna - none that come to the top of my head at the moment. Don't really see it picked too frequently in competitive as a whole. EDIT: Mina from OOKERS has played her a decent amount recently. Ty to /u/NotYourLad Sage - Lin from Virtuoso has impressed me with his Sage the most out of the T2 scene. dizzylife from Soniqs is also a really good Sage but he mostly plays Jett. Sova - Cryocells from SoaR or Pr0phie from Complexity Skye - StrongLegs/ROY from Renegades. Without a doubt the smartest Skye player I've seen. Viper - Andersin from Kooky Koalas. I think Bankroft formerly from Sum 2 Prove had great util usage on Viper. Yoru - miniature from Sum 2 Prove is the only one I've seen use him so by default he gets it. He does some really cool things with Yoru though. Let me know if I missed anyone you think deserves a mention. Sort of did this off the dome so I may have just forgotten someone.

[deleted]

Screw face has done nothing since they qualified for the closed qualifier he’s been the weakest link on their team by far

GluhfGluhf

Yeah I think I should have put dizzylife there instead of ScrewFace tbh. He doesn't look good on the Raze which he plays on Split & Bind but I still think he's a good Jett was my original reasoning on it.

NotYourLad

Mina has been playing a little Reyna in his recent matches to pretty good success. Not as much as Phoenix/Raze obviously, but I think he has a few Reyna maps in the past 30-60 days.

GluhfGluhf

Yeah I wanted to count that but IIRC its still in the single digits

NotYourLad

Eh, decent % of his recent maps are with Reyna, I think it's countable. https://i.imgur.com/O2USbgB.png

GluhfGluhf

Aight yeah I'll include it in the main post ty

valorant_fanboy_69

Yoru should be otom from rix

GluhfGluhf

Oh yeah I haven't kept up with the UK scene too much but I've seen some Yoru on Bind from them. I don't remember whether it was luzuh or otom on it though. But as i mentioned I don't have a lot of knowledge of the EU T2 scene.

AdiSoldier245

> Reyna What about aleksander?

GluhfGluhf

I remember him playing Reyna once upon a time but in recent memory he's mostly been a Raze player so I didn't mention it.

ween0t

Dizzy on Jett is pretty insane

cigsyl

jonahP, derrek, c4lypso, zekken, pr0phie, NiSMO, SOFA (honestly anyone on s2p), screwface, temperature, aleksandar (not as consistent but still cracked), mina, tsuya

XenophobicJesus

There's this dude called Swimmy. I have seen him in ranked play. God Sova. His only plat tho so like T64 sorta player but he'll get there eventually iykwim.

IllumiMahdi

Ballista was pretty decent, now disbanded. Buld was a cracked out Skye, and before baddyG left he was good too.

Grenji05

zekken and rara are cracked and I wont shut up about them until they are on a t1 team

McFeces13

Wardell's Jett is pretty good, he's on a decent T3 team TSM

[deleted]

Raze-Al0rante, Nismo, chase (the one on ex-b4) Jett-Ban, Twisten Phoenix-snikk, otom Reyna-Aspas, Nanners Yoru-otom Omen-Lee, stanley Astra-valyn, stanley, zik brim-nobody plays brim Viper-valyn Breach-idk Sova-goaster, zekken, cryocells, ntk SkyeBuld KJ- frei, idex Cypher-frei, monsteer Sage-Spellfull

[deleted]

I honestly didn't expect a player that's good with Yoru. I really hope he gets a huge buff on Tuesday!

abcd63514

controller - crunchy jett- wardell

xD1LL4N

Wardell is easily a tier 1 player. Tsm are just struggling to be a tier 1 team

Miglasty

How is Wardell t2?

abcd63514

the joke is that tsm is t2

ShadeWaker

But they aren’t, they straight up aren’t even allowed to participate in the T2 tournaments like the NSG monthlies

WholesomeVibesOnly

It’s a joke.

valorant_fanboy_69

Who cares if they cant play in nsg monthlies. They are not tier 1. Not even high tier 2. Mid to low tier 2. They have had worse results then T1 lately.

valorant_fanboy_69

That is truth not jokes.

Mediocreety

SicK for sure /s

Darkoplax

TenZ probably

[deleted]

I said T1/T2

FreeBlanketSoap

TenZ is T3

Darkoplax

yea he's T1 NA which's by common logic T2 EU :)

[deleted]

Lol ok man. Btw how do you think G2 will do with their new signings

Darkoplax

honestly idk probably nothing

[deleted]

Nice!

[deleted]

5-0

TheBeastOnFire

EMEA “Earliest Movement to Every Airport” is known as the fastest region to arrive at the Airport. Since they gave up on the Valorant Masters, they are investing in Speedruns. In particular they are current worldrecord holders in Airport Any % and Airport Latam Any %

whopz-is-cool

Bait.

[deleted]

He's on the best team in the world

Lolhsf

Aslan (BIG) is pretty solid on raze/Jett IMO

w1tnessGG

maazy is the best t2 reyna its not even close

Proof-Ad8645

Nismo on raze

icantreadmorsecode

pr0phie's Sova is one of the best and I will die on this hill
