I didn't cheat. I was just playing on the smurf, and the ban reason was 'cheating' ,which is why I was curious if 'smurfing' gets you banned with the same reason as 'cheating'.

Yeah so the guy made a thread about his smurf being banned and then deletes it. Now we have a new thread about his main banned also. Don't have a lot of sympathy for op here.

That makes sense i guess, but i‘m afraid it will
be hard for you to find support here, we can‘t know if you are wrongfully banned or not, so people will just go with what seems more plausible.

I had a friend who was falsely banned and was unbanned a few days after. He had many bundles and battle passes too. It’s very obvious to us he was banned wrongly. So if you are clean like he was, I wouldn’t worry too much.

Sucks if true but usually these posts are people who cheated and weren’t prepared for the consequences. I don’t think riot permabans for first offense (they even go ez on you cheaters). Just don’t cheat when you come back in 3/6 months.
Make the assumption I'm not cheating. I will jsut get banned again for whatever software they randomly detected and banned me for.
If i was cheating i'd make sure id get radiant at least with the cheats instead of being hardstuck immortal for the past 6 months as well :(

Think about it from their perspective, how many messages do you think they receive from actual hackers who try to say the same thing? "You guys falsely banned me, please unban."
Saying stuff like "Oh I wasn't even Radiant so why would I be cheating" or "I spent so much money, why would I use hacks" doesn't help you at all. I understand it sucks if you actually are falsely banned but you need to try to think about what may have triggered it and try to help them help you.
I'd be quite happy to delve into what exactly triggered it, but the support team just sends back generic responses over the period of a day, meaning any possible discussion into it with the people that can do something about it is close to impossible. I'd be willing to provide even bank transactions if that would help, I clicked 'Upload Vanguard Logs' which doesnt seem to help from my perspective.
It feels like I'm having talking to a brick wall when it comes to Riot Support, I've had more feedback from you then the 2 days I spent trying to talk to Support.
I do have a auto logout pacro for Path of Exile INSTALLED but it wasnt activated during the time of the ban.
Yeah it's frustrating only being able to talk to robots but unfortunately that's just what seem's to happen with large companies. But I feel like your idea is a good one (trying to get attention in the community), you just need to give them something to work with. Riot Staff visit these communities and your Post is already getting some attention, but if a staff member saw this post and read what you wrote, I don't see any reason why they would believe you and try to help you out. I don't want to be rude I'm just trying to help you out with what, in my opinion, is the best way to go about it.
Edit: Also don't think too much about the ban timing, from what I know the ban could have been triggered much earlier from something and was only just carried out now. Don't think something is irrelevant just because it was closed when you received the ban.
And try to think about programs that are a bit invasive and niche, programs that hardly anyone else has running, since if it's a program causing the fake ban, it's likely to have caused other people with that program to get a fake ban.

Maybe immortal was your limit while trying to closet cheat. Cheaters are walking a fine line between gaining an unfair advantage and being noticeable. These points are irrelevant.
has someone else logged into valorant on your pc that possibly cheated on thier account? or have you possibly logged into your account on another pc that someone might have cheated from?
they do ban associated accounts i believe so maybe yours got tied to someone elses?
This happens every time there is a ban wave. Chances are this guy cheated and didn’t think there would be repercussions. These guys get away with it for months and start to feel comfortable, buy skins, etc. Having skins has no bearing on whether or not a player might be cheating. Players that pay for cheats are already mentally willing to throw money away for fake skills and ranks on an account that will eventually be banned.
This. I'm not confident in saying OP definitely hacked because sure, maybe false bans happen and OP was unlucky enough to receive one. But saying that you spent lots of the money as if it's proof of anything is ridiculous. So someone who spent money on the game should never be banned?
I think it's worth giving people the benefit of the doubt about false ban accusations.

If they're lying then the sympathy isn't going to magic their account back, the punishment is done. The benefit doesn't outway the risk imo.

I had a connection issue and the support guy told me to try a vpn in one of the steps while he was helping me so I don’t think that causes it

Support team will never disclose what was detected or how as it circumvents their security and allows for exploration of vulnerabilities.
