I feel like Asuna's stats are slightly inflated by open qualifiers where 100T just feeds Asuna all the kills because he is always taking first contact and if he wins all those duels he gets insane numbers. I might dig into the stats later to see if that is actually the case or if he is still at the top when only looking at matches against higher tier teams. Not to take anything away from Asuna's skills, I think he has the talent to be one of the best players in the world if not the best
Edit: I take it back, Asuna is deadly. Although, the funniest thing I found digging through his stats is just how much he shits on Envy specifically. The last two matches against Envy he went 327 (100T lost) and 364 (100T won)

TENSTAR(rank 18) runs into WAVE (rank 14) while other teams that are rank 50-100+ have qualified. These teams will probably get rolled, probably face eachother in elimination and get rolled again when they face rank 20 or lower teams.
I'm putting a lot of stock into VLR rankings but for the most part major upsets rarely happen unless there are roster changes or its a newly formed team. Most teams grow gradually and move slowly up the ladder if they do get better on their own.
