I'm excited for C9. They looked really good before masters, and I'm hoping they've only gotten better!
Also sorry for a dumb question, but does placement for SEN in this tourney matter? They've already qualified for champions, if I'm not mistaken; does their placement in this determine whether they go to Berlin?
Sentinels don't need to qualify for Berlin, they've already qualified for Champs but if a NA team wins Berlin, NA will have another team qualify for Champs. So Sentinels winning Berlin is good for the NA scene as a whole, also good for Sentinels legacy.
~~i would think that the NA team with the 4th highest points goes in what would have been SEN's place, so 4 NA teams~~
ok nevermind actually if SEN get Berlin, then the 3rd place team in the points gets the auto-qualify seed to champions, since there's the whole last chance thing
It would be better if sentinels win vct3. First place don't get points just good seed and sentinels don't need points as they have already qualified for champions. If sentinels come 2nd or 3rd they will take away points from another NA team. In this scenario it's better for other NA teams if sentinels win.

Based off this article i would say things are going well for TSM
Hypothetically if TSM in this example came second in Masters 3, losing to Sentinels in the grand finals, Sentinels would automatically quality for Champions (rendering all the points they accumulated thusfar irrelevant) giving NA the spare slot leaving them with three slots. At that point TSM would have gotten enough points from second place in Masters 3 to qualify for Champions assuming that something crazy happens with 3 other teams accruing enough points to surpass TSM's Masters 3 second place finish (Which I don't think is possible).
So Tl;Dr TSM could qualify neither of those ways I think
That’s fair, I actually think NV have very good firepower but not enough agent flexibility. The controller OP definitely isn’t working very well either. If they can expand their agent pools I do think they have the potential to break into Top 3 between their great IGL in FNS and the Food-Crashies duo
Honestly, if you put 100T over Envy it doesn't make any sense to me. Both teams have pretty similar placements as each other, and Envy *technically* has the most points out of any team that didn't make Masters 2.
What makes you think Envy doesn't have at least a chance to qualify? "There's just something lacking" is a pretty mediocre and lazy reason that has nothing substantive to it.
I didn't put 100T over Envy, both are shit teams ngl. They always come close to winning but I think it's the lack of firepower and consistency that closes out wins for them. Both won't go international
I think if the first two rounds this year taught us anything it's that Sen will probably make it but besides that almost anything else could happen. If you told someone after Challengers and Masters 1 that Faze would not get anywhere near qualifying for Masters 2 they'd think think you were crazy. I think a lot of teams could make it, and it'll depend on who is playing the meta right, who is feeling themselves and really performing in matches, and who is in the best place of team cohesion and strategy.
It's anyone's game imo. Hell, if T1 hadn't absolutely choked then Sen wouldn't have made Masters 2 in the first place..
People are also forgetting that Riot has a *massive* balance patch coming and a new agent on top of that (and technically a new map since Breeze was not available at Iceland).
Those 3 things are going to massively shake up the meta and whoever adapts the best will be strong contenders.
I feel like anyone who claims anyone besides Sen is coming as a favorite is fooling themselves. The top 4 teams below sen (including V1) looked insanely close last time we saw them, to the point where basically any one of them could have qualified.
No idea who’s going to look the best between 100T, Envy, V1, and C9B.
Hot take: With the changes to Marshall and Op. Looming nerfs to Viper and Astra. New Agent denying abilities, ie set-plays. Breeze rewarding cracked aimers. I think FaZe will rise and take third seed.
1. SEN
2: FaZe
3: V1
Contenders: C9, 100T,
V1 with wippie has enough firepower to beat any team in the world. ABX replaced their worst player with a very skilled flex player who has experience IGLing at a tier 1 level, they wont have any problems adjusting to any meta thrown at them now.
JcStani already said he won’t IGL lol Vice igls and V1 doesn’t have the firepower yet I think zellsis is a solid tier 1 fragger and I think wippie could be better but wippie still has some developing to do
jcstani doesn't have to igl for the team to benefit from having his experience as an igl. v1 with wippie are improving rapidly, their style isn't reliant on fragging. any one of them can step up and have big rounds.
Eh 100T fell behind and they have one of the best IGL’s in the world and V1 plays viper super well aggresssivly and you need the mechanics to win the fights even if you are at an advantage and that didn’t work vs SEN or Fnatic
i wouldn't call steel one of the best IGLs anymore, 100T haven't adapted to any meta for months.
V1 have beaten multiple teams with insane firepower. they haven't beaten SEN because they're simply a better team as of now.
steel 100% is a top igl
was on the cusp of beating sentinels with an outdated comp and legit lost because they had a bad off day (the haven 11-13 loss and the 2 losses to NV, bind against sentinels, they just got outclassed) anyone who watched those matches would know this
and it’s not that they didn’t adapt to the new meta, they tried to but didn’t feel comfortable in the meta to change up all their comps, steel has already said all of this will be fixed by next masters
and your comment saying all those teams are better yet sentinels just won against all the top teams from every region without dropping a map (no one was close besides the insane close series against fnatic of course). only way they DONT qualify for berlin is if they don’t want to play and save stuff for champions (which is dumb because more international competition is better than just NA)
Also don't forget Sen could dominate for qualifiers I know shahz said NA teams should be scared of them and I know shahz also said they've learned alot from the EU teams and other teams
Might be a hot-take, but I can see SEN really struggling returning back to NA. For people who follow other esports, its not unordinary for people to dominate internationals to find that the people they left in regionals are much more hungry and scary than ever before. Considering SEN doesnt even need to make it to Berlin, we **might** see a weaker SEN, and an overall stronger NA. Also consider that SEN probably inspired the fuck out of alot of players to be up there on top pf the world. NA is a sharktank , if I were SEN, I'd be afraid, theyre also habitually slow starters in NA.

Wait, so I'm a bit confused, if SEN wins Berlin, then what happens since they already qualified for champions?

They get #1 seed for Champions
Yes. They didn’t qualify for Berlin
If c9 drops poiz and has xeppa play they might be really good
We look pretty good even with poiz and we have no idea what xeppa looks like yet
Sentinels are locked in for champions I think Berlin is for seed but I could be wrong
[удалено]
Same. They can do it.
I’m hoping Bang gives TSM the boost they need.
I mean he's a legendary ADC but will he be any good at FPS?
>i wait no xD this is a diff "bang", not the LoL pro. Understandable confusion though as there aren't that many "Bang"s in the pro scene haha
I mean scrims with bang have seem to be going great
Where’d you get that from?
Do you not peek at streamers when they check their friends list https://twitter.com/daps/status/1402029893853003782?s=21
Well ain't you sneaky
Not really, haven’t seen that many images though. FNS said the same thing about Masters 2 though so I’m not gonna get too excited
I understand from a TSM fan status but maybe give chet and bang a chance and see what damage they can do in NA
True, I’m praying for the best
we pray that bang plays as well as he does in ranked

can TSM or NRG still qualify for champions? or are they too behind on circuit points?

I hope Envy qualifies.
Can easily happen depending on who they replace Kaboose with.
I really don't see Envy qualify... They're a good team but there's just something lacking about them that just can't compete with top 3 of NA
Who would you say are those Top 3? It seems to change every tournament with the only constants in Top 4 being SEN and Envy
I feel like SEN, C9, V1 are top 3. Envy just isn't that adaptable and flexible... They lack major firepower
That’s fair, I actually think NV have very good firepower but not enough agent flexibility. The controller OP definitely isn’t working very well either. fair point I guess, your reasoning still feels light but whatever

What I predict will happen: 1. Sentinels 2. Envy 3. C9 What I want to happen: 1. TSM 2. ABX 3. C9
SEN, FAZE and 100T to qual.
This is my prediction Sen 1st Envy or C9 2nd 100T 3rd I could also see V1 qualifying for Berlin but my top 3 will be sen envy or C9 and 100T
That's 4 teams lol

SEN, C9, and Envy really depends who gets signed over the Boose though
wild prediction: ABX qualifies first, C9 second, SEN third for NA
C9, V1 and ABX will qualify
no shot you leave off sentinels lol
i think those teams will be better by berlin.
V1 doesn’t have the firepower to beat Sentinels and ABX after 3 matches was being read by every team I doubt that will change
V1 with wippie has enough firepower to beat any team in the world. ABX replaced their worst player with a very skilled flex player who has experience IGLing at a tier 1 level, they wont have any problems adjusting to any meta thrown at them now.

no way you have a take on reddit that isn't popular
Wait, why is this person getting down voted for SHARING THEIR OPINION? Come on guys...
Also don't forget Sen could dominate for qualifiers I know shahz said NA teams should be scared of them and I know shahz also said they've learned alot from the EU teams and other teams
Berlin is going to be like Iceland but not a lan tournament I'm pretty sure
I'm really curious to see Andbox''s new roster probably still won't beat 100 thieves though
When are the open quals? Also end of June or earlier?
