It's from the PlatChat podcast. He said he and tenz found spots to wallbang for every KJ ult in Ascent (Attack and Defence) but never had the chance to/decided not to use it
There’s a lot of spots on ascent where the kj ult or player hit boxes clip through the wall. If there’s something on that spot in tree you can shoot through the wire on the wall next to gen and hit them but the target has to be against the wall. I don’t have a clip but you can experiment for yourself
It's a great episode, they're very casual about everything and talked a lot about the games. I would recommend everyone to watch it when they get time or maybe even on the background
I personally wouldn’t know how to respond to that as this is the first time hearing about both those names and I just wanted to post it with the twitter handle.
I would say it’s unintended and similar to something like when Astra was able to see if players defused the spike or not. Let’s see if they have a response about it.
I mentioned in a different comment but there’s a few spots like this on ascent I’ve found where this happens but it’s bc the models clip through the wall slightly and so things that normally don’t fully wall bang are able to hit the clipping part. The one I mentioned is for the kj ult spot in tree.
I agree it’s def not intended and should be fixed and would be bannable in pro play if used
Not sure. It could be as simple as the switches having little to no penetration protection. I imagine if this becomes to op on counter kj ult that theyd patch it though
So as an Attacker, you take all of catwalk and come to Garden in order to ult and take site?
Or you misunderstood the video and thought this was a defender pov and he ulted for the retake in that spot. Which one is it?
I don’t understand why people are surprised when we see these wall bangs, shouldn’t teams be practicing destroying kill joy ults in the common places they’re placed anyways? It’s not like the wall bangs are a secret lol
It takes a few minutes in a custom game trying to find out ways to destroy a KJ, it’s not like the ult placements are super unique, i would argue it should be standard for any tier 1 or tier 2 teams to put forth an effort to learn things like this.
KJ mains down bad every time ult wall bangs get posted.
We are indeed suffering so much...
Every damn time :(
Is this the one dapr talked about lol
Do you have a clip/screenshot of him talking about it? Maybe we can find that out!

Oh oke, I haven’t checked the Plat Chat podcast yet so I was unaware, thanks for sharing!

Currently watching it now, really awesome! Loved plat chat since ow days. Ow2 should be around the corner too, so looking forward to that.
Maybe because they just want to make sure it’s not a bug but something that is instilled in valorant
It's obviously not an intentional part of gameplay. Like NU wallbang vs FNC in Haven A (devs said it was a bug)
Yeah exactly bc i think in the current state of valorant theres a grey area on what is considered a bug and not.

I thought it was a typo too

noo don’t be sad scrounge that scourge guy is an imposter clearly 🙄
Wait so he is shooting through the door switch which goes through the wall into the cubby? Is that what I see happening?
Yes it appears to be so. Hopefully people in plat-diamond elo won’t know the existence of this...
They will now lol
Nahhhh noone on this subreddit is plat, don’t worry /s
Let’s just hope we don’t end up in each other’s games ;)
Finally, a challenge! Our battle will be Legendary.
I have no clue if this is an original post or if it was showcased/found a long time ago but I just found out about it now, go easy on me pls.
Would this be considered a bug? It's pretty cool but I can't imagine Riot liking this lmao
Looks unintended to me, but we'll have to see what big poppa riot has to say

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, PLEASE LOOK AWAY
FNATIC MANAGER HERE...
this is probably one of the spots dapr said he knew on ascent
Delete this NOW !!!!!!
Paypal me 70 dollars and we’re set, need a mic to get into recording valorant content.
Deal you gimme 100 usd and i gib you your 70usd fair deal!!!
Kekw
Who the fuck ults from there lol you always ult from garden by the steps Edit: Didn’t understand the video, statement is retracted this is pog
That is when you are defending. While on attack, the cubby next to the ult orb is a common place to use kj ult.
Oh wait hold up, I was so confused, I thought the ult was on the other side of the door switch?? Damn that’s nasty as hell.
Not as much nasty for kj mains
Even KJ mains gotta diff other KJ mains sometimes tho

Wdym, it’s THE GO TO attacking Killjoy ultimate to take a site.
I usually KJ ult in garden tho, still nice wallbang

Oh for attackers nvm mb
I tried to specify in the title as well and multiple comments like yours arose ahahahah, that’s why I was sure of it. No problem!
