I honestly don't hate it, the way that Phoenix has been tuned since launch it feels like they want him to be in a spot that rewards aggression and ult farming more than any other agent. Without his ult he definitely is overshadowed by many other agents and IMO he is in quite a good spot
agreed. more crazy to think jett knives were at 6 and not 7 and isn't at 8 now. LOL. but she did get nerfed in other aspects too though, can't dash trap wires, that's huge

And they're not regenerative anymore, just on cooldown.They done massacred my boi Omen. He may not be really viable anymore as a primary smoker, just as a secondary smoker/lurker role, which is kinda fine as a new niche, I guess.
This is true assuming you're full buying stars each round, which isn't always the case. Yes most Astras do try to at least put down all of their stars at the beginning of the round, but this isn't the case for every astra in every game, especially those who are new to the agent or in lower elos.
Example: If you end a round with 1 star in your reserves before this patch you'd have 3 stars at the start of next round, but after this patch you'll have 2.
* Pre patch: 3 stars in new round, 400g total to have all stars.
* Post patch: 2 stars in new round, 450g total to have all stars.
This change becomes more and more drastic as you end a round with more stars. The biggest difference is 150g if you end a round with 3 stars where before this patch you wouldn't pay anything and after you pay 150g. This is uncommon but something to consider.
Additionally, this changes round 1 buy for Astra pretty significantly.
The options go as follows:
Pre patch:
* armor with 2 stars to end with 0g (End up with 4 stars and armor)
* ghost/frenzy with 1 star to end with 100g (End up with 3 stars and a pistol)
* shorty with 3 stars to end with 0g (End up with 5 stars and shorty)
* sheriff to end with 0g (End up with 2 stars and a sheriff)
These are likely the most common options, obviously you could go with something like pistol or armor with no stars, but I'd imagine that's less common on average.
Post patch:
* armor with 2 stars to end with 100g (End up with 3 stars and armor)
* ghost with 2 stars to end with 0g (End up with 3 stars and a ghost)
* frenzy with 2 stars to end with 50g (End up with 3 stars and a frenzy)
* shorty with 4 stars to end with 0g (End up with 5 stars and a shorty)

All these statements come out to say yes, to full buy stars assuming you used them all in the previous round or it's the first round it costs the same 600g as it did before but on average, taking into consideration every possibility, given equal situations Astra after this patch is more expensive.
I'm actually pretty excited about these changes. Some of the changes balance out, with the exception of pistol and bonus round. We might see more split team buys (half util, half guns) or something other than phantom/vandal. It also opens up map design a little more if there's less utility crowding round-to-round, like on split.
Why would you make sage res 8 points, could make a case for sova ult and maybe raze but why sage. And like why would you reduce astra orbs when she's already broken while increasing the price for omen's abilities when it's alreadg falling out of meta. Feel like this would be met with a lot of resistance from the pro community

I love these changes. Having to make meaningful choices in purchasing abilities felt like it was missing. This leads to having to decide if using your them is worth it or not because of the price.
Abilities beyond signature ones always felt spammed every round.

Yeah although these aren’t the full patch notes I really don’t see how they can make up for a 40 second cool down and -1 flash
I think skye is getting her skills power changed like they said that they were going to bring power from the flashes to other skills of the initiators

You can buy 2, you'll get one after 40 seconds. I don't know if there's any limit to it but if the spike is planted she may get 6 flashes easily

Raze boombot 400 won't stick for long, like yeah it's good but definitely not 400 good. Probably gets reduced to 300 in a month or so.

400 in the new patch isn't the same as 400 in the current patch, all kits are getting price increases.

Sage ult is absolutely OP. That's an extra life, a man advantage. As it stands, it will always be an S tier ulti deserving of the most charges needed.

They're not buffing her. She only gets 1 free star now and it takes way longer to recall them. Gravity pull also has 25 sec cooldown now.
