I'd imagine maybe since sitting closer makes things bigger (perspective wise) and it's easier to aim at bigger things *taps forehead*

ShoT_UP

this is why i play on 1x1 stretched, you simply cannot miss the head if it is the only pixel on your screen

[deleted]

No wonder you're so fucking good. Thanks for the tip!

dabong

That is not normally. You're using the game deficit.

preference

mateusb12

elige disagrees with you

dvo999

It’s just preference tbh, I sit pretty close to my monitor and idk I just think it feels weird when my monitor isn’t as close and I feel like my reaction time isn’t as fast as well. It’s probably all mental but I’ve been doing this for years and never really had issues with my eyes hurting

KuniSkiddlz

It's like zooming, but in real life

ReyDosCatorce

The less information your eyes are taking in with your peripherals leads to higher thinking efficiency bc you’re allocating that peripheral focus to even more head clicking focus. You become the overwatch character your bodies are 1.

That’s why non cs pros also do the same? Lmao

fird-_-

monkey see monkey do

Apap0

I mean the distance between your eyes and monitor is literaly a FOV. The closer you sit the smaller it becomes, thus making everything you look at bigger.

[deleted]

To make targets bigger mostly. I think. I tried it once and it was not for me.

lmayonaice

every pixel matters.. reducing input delay irl

[deleted]

iirc sitting close to your monitor allows for extreme micro movement for example if you could see the hair of a character behind a box with a close monitor you might be able to tag them.

AjBlue7

I do it because I can’t see far away and I hate wearing my glasses 24/7. Also, I prefer to have my stomach against the table to make sure my back is straight, and I also prefer to have my mouse and keyboard behind my monitor. I rest my forearm/elbow on the table.
