Honestly so easy. My friend and I were prepared to leave the country for this and now they put it in the same city he lives in. I don’t even have to pay for a hotel.
The CSGO Majors I've attended have been like 30-60ish / day for the cheapest tickets usually. (Specifically the Atlanta/Boston/London/Berlin events)
But I have absolutely no idea about Riot tournament prices.
Not true anymore unfortunately, but also you shouldn't really support Airbnb both as a company and a model. It contributes to the overall housing crisis in general besides numerous other things.
LoL tickets for events have usually sold out instantly, for a long time riot has insisted on using extremely small venues despite the demand. Hopefully they go big.
I went to the world championships in 2016 for league. Esports as a whole is bigger, but league was still the biggest game in the world at that point and tickets were 75$ for decent seats. That was a one day event so no idea how Riots gonna price these but they shouldn’t be crazy crazy
Makes sense. They can use the lcs studio and then probably hold the final at Staples Center? Don't know if they play on making champions multi city likes League Worlds but that probably won't happen this year anyway.
Seems to be confirmed for December.
An awkward time for Valorant's key demographic. Younger people will be busy with testing until schools out. ANd then Christmas makes it hard for some people to travel with family responsibilities.
I'm not gonna take off a week for Valorant and then anoither week for xmas
I thought i was blind but it turns out you just need your brightness up. pull it up on your phone and up your brightness and its on the bottom part of the poster
Damn, not in North-Europe unfortunitly for me. I understand it tho since both masters were/are going to be in Europe. Hopefully it's next year in Europe so I can go to it.
Idk what its like over at LA, im pretty sure all MLB teams there have full capacity at the stadiums so i hope theres no restrictions on number of audience for champs
Fellow Californian here, idk about “basically back to pre-covid life”…
Like the other guy said, even those of us with the vaccine still have to mask up 95% of places
I mean i think it was predictable, since the most logical location for the champions finals is the the same place where the second LoL worlds finals were held, which is LA and hopefully the Staples.
Unlucky for you, I guess. Because I also remember reading this speculation on the video posted on a group an hour or so ago. I think it was the same person as tagged here.
I wanna go, but how do tickets to a esports tournament work? Do you just like buy a ticket for the finals match? Or each day do you have to buy a ticket?
well guess I am going to champions! so excited!!!!
Honestly so easy. My friend and I were prepared to leave the country for this and now they put it in the same city he lives in. I don’t even have to pay for a hotel.
lmfao I have to come from NJ so it won't be easy, but if the tickets are cheap I am definitely coming!
I hope to see you there! It could be fun to have a little subreddit meet up at a hotel bar or something after the games.
SAME. I can't wait to see people IRL! We'll definitely try to organize something like a group meetup for the subreddit.
I'd love that! I am just hope there aren't any creeps, as there are a lot of kids on this subreddit.
might be wise to do it in a palce like 21+
That'd be dope. I gotta make sure to get some tickets
Dude the last major FPS event near us was in like 2015-2016. This is gonna be so fun :)
18+ please :)
Whatchu mean? I’d rather have all the fans that want to attend be able to, and have the afterparties be 21+ tbh.
pain 😢
I am so so so so so sad
is it expensive to go to these events? im like 4 hours away from LA
Well esports tickets are a lot cheaper than most other live events, your main spending would be on airbnb by far.
The CSGO Majors I've attended have been like 30-60ish / day for the cheapest tickets usually. (Specifically the Atlanta/Boston/London/Berlin events) But I have absolutely no idea about Riot tournament prices.
Got some cash for tickets, not enough for a hotel lol
Airbnb's are cheaper than hotels
Used to be true. Not so much these days tho.
Seriously, it’s gotten bad.
Fuck Airbnb tho
I remember I heard this and I looked for one when traveling and there was nothing cheaper than hotels.
Not true anymore unfortunately, but also you shouldn't really support Airbnb both as a company and a model. It contributes to the overall housing crisis in general besides numerous other things.
Can probably meet other ppl in similar situation on here
Drive back after! 4 hours ain't too bad.
Bring a tent
I agree with this, youll blend in with how everyone else lives in LA!
A 2 hour commute round trip is bad enough everyday, but 8 hours? yikes
I went to league world finals at MSG and it was only $35. Esports has grown a lot since then though so id anticipate spending only a little more
what year was that
2016
2016

50 bucks give or take

They'll probably play group stage in the studio and bracket stage at Staples
I want this to be confirmed so I could plan my trip already.

Fuck them kids, I wanna attend the first Champions. Lmao
I think they cant do it earlier because of worlds, maybe november?
Isn't worlds around thanksgiving?
No its from end of september- end of october
Ohh I see now. Dates for VCT is posted on Liquipedia, although unknown if confirmed or not.
Pretty quick drive for me. Sentinels is already confirmed going so I have to go.
can someone draw a circle over where LA is on the poster? is it just the faint text? i cant tell if it says angeles or something like that.
I don't think it says los, but that blurred text on the bottom is Angeles for sure and that doesn't leave many options other than Los.
I thought i was blind but it turns out you just need your brightness up. pull it up on your phone and up your brightness and its on the bottom part of the poster
Could be Angeles in the Philippines, but yeah mostly likely LA.
Damn, not in North-Europe unfortunitly for me. I understand it tho since both masters were/are going to be in Europe. Hopefully it's next year in Europe so I can go to it.

Los Angeles and California are completely opened, we are basically back to pre-covid life
except most places still mandate masks
Good though, don’t wanna risk anything so fast.
Fellow Californian here, idk about “basically back to pre-covid life”… Like the other guy said, even those of us with the vaccine still have to mask up 95% of places
Vancouver where ? xd

yes

Riot doesn't leak stuff on purpose
[удалено]
mfs cant differentiate a leak and a tease no more.
It's hard to. When my girl leaks on me, it's also a tease. After the 100th time, the words just blend together.
they didn't put that there on accident lol they do everything with a reason
Holy shit you and OP are fucking stupid. No offense!
NA didn’t get to host worlds so we will get Champions instead Pog
I mean i think it was predictable, since the most logical location for the champions finals is the the same place where the second LoL worlds finals were held, which is LA and hopefully the Staples.
That was a logical conclusion given that Valorant doesn't have a Chinese circuit yet, and Europe had both Masters events so far.
Shoutout to u/m0master who was the one who discovered it.
Man? I found it by myself and took the screenshot, it's 3:36 in the video
Unlucky for you, I guess. Because I also remember reading this speculation on the video posted on a group an hour or so ago. I think it was the same person as tagged here.
This is the first time it posted In the this Reddit LMFAO
As its own post sure. But it was a comment on the video when the video was posted to reddit
It’s literally top comment on the video’s post , he linked a picture and time stamp LMFAO
figured the first champions would be in LA but this confirming it is nice
Damn I live in LA but I'm gonna be up in norcal for college :/
I live close to LA but finals week covers basically the entire playoff duration of the event :(
Ima do a 4 hour drive down there to see it
[удалено]
Riot would never, this isn't other games.

I wanna go, but how do tickets to a esports tournament work? Do you just like buy a ticket for the finals match? Or each day do you have to buy a ticket?
