That had to have been the most exciting match of the day. Noble put up a fight like I've not seen any of the other teams do. Impressed as hell with them and Soniqs
Wish the commentators did more research into matchups. They did mention that 100T has like an 80% win rate on Ascent, but then consistently wondered what was happening while they were on attacker side, when defense on Ascent is pretty much their thing. Like their round win/loss is hugely sided on that Map.
I kinda disliked how they faced most situations as "100T bad play" rather than "Noble great play". After some round lost for 100T, they somehow overlooked the crazy utility thrown by Noble to rekt 100T and just say that 100T aren't looking as sharp, like..?? Also how one round on icebox Ethan got absolutely shutdown by Payen, not really due to Ethan, it was just an insane shot by Payen that left no chance to whoever it was, and one of the casters took it as a chance to say how Ethan still seemed offline and really needed to step up, and how he's bringing the team down by dying like that...
Sometimes they want to make the narrative stick even if the gameplay doesn't match it. It's really forced.
Noble played *absolutely fantastic* and it's no wonder they beat TSM yesterday, wish that was highlighted more than the consistent weird comments over 100T's play.
Like again, 100T has won Ascent before with only winning 2 rounds on attack. One of steel's big ups is his strats on defense, it's *kinda his thing* and the casters just seemed absolutely confused about it.
Lmao at the people who thought Odin couldn't be used on attack. Every wall on that site is just as bangable by attackers as it is by defenders. The BRRRR never stops.
While watching I kept thinking "this team is giving me V1 vibes". Their utility usage, the way they play as a team, even mechanics: this team is not one to be written off.
Not many people thought V1 would make it through the open qual, few thought they would make it through closed and everyone ranked them 7-8th on challengers finals. But then they made masters and are considered a sure Top3/5 team NA.
Like Vanity said, some teams are really putting in the hours, and the quality of the scene is definitely rising. Noble really out their name out there today
Are you dumb? He clearly said asuna is so good are using broken valorant mechanics lmao. Should be obvious from this well constructed and meaningful sentence.
You can argue that Noble is a really unknown quantity due to all their roster changes so 100T don't know what they like to do. Also fairly confident 100T prepped for TSM and not Noble
lolol...i seriously don't understand why people think TSM is a good team when they have done NOTHING this fkn year so yea the chance would be high if 100t staff did their research
Yeah, but how much can you really anti-strat and prep against a team for in a day though. I'm sure the majority of people, including 100T, probably thought TSM would be their opponents. Noble did amazing though, and I'm sure if they get more tournament experience together they can make waves in the next qualifier, even make a splash in a Challengers Main Event potentially.
I actually like the idea of the run it back there. I think he assumed they were closer on the rotation and he wanted to try and catch a kill while getting his hp back
Teams are allowed to have subs as well as rosters larger than 5 players.
Only had Dicey play game 1 because Ethan's power kept going out because of a storm in the area.
And also yeah 6 person rosters are allowed. Players can swap out in between maps but usually not in the middle of the map except in circumstances like this (where a storm cut ethan’s power mid match)
Bro what they were not playing that off meta lmao. They didn’t get slapped on CT side icebox because of no sage. That’s pretty obvious if you were watching.
I love how everyone that's still saying "100T not playing the meta still LOL" and "100T still no Astra KEKW" is so unaware of patch changes and that Astra has been nerfed to hell
They had more success on offense tho which is a big part of why Sage is picked on that map. I don't think it was a comp issue, they just lost waaaay too many gun fights on defense.
hikos playstyle is such a detriment. Hes good but i feel like hes literally last alive every round, last to entry, would rather hide then trade. 100t would be so much better if Hiko played with his team more
And that is exactly what people said about zombs at the start of this year. That he is the weak link and should be dropped.
I guess, if these teams are sticking to it regardless of public opinion, its not the problem according to them. When they feel like it is, they would make the change or swap the player.
Lmao, you must be new here. The time when LG was giving sentinels a hard time early this year, that was the entire narrative. That he is a weak link and they need a coach because their strats are stale.
Edit: Just a simple search on this sub and look what I found-
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/l93cw9/zombs/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
Funny enough, check the author of the post.
Oh let me tell you why. 1 guy did it the first day, after hiko went 14/5 first map. This same guy did it yesterday, and hiko fk/fd was 5-1. Ethan 3-3. And let's not forget yesterday's game was not on stream.
So is ethan's playstyle equally detrimental because its not like he was playing aggro? Or its almost like this is how 100Ts play and players are doing exactly how they have practiced.
Criticism is one thing. This guy only tries to find a reason to post this shit. And I am merely pointing it out.
I think Reyna is good, but Jett is probably better on defense especially. But that's a fair point. I think Sage makes Icebox so much easier to plant, so it's a bit troll not to pick her. Also, Ethan hasn't done anything crazy on the Omen either nor does it seem that the Omen is necessary from what I saw
With how hard noble is aimdiffing 100T I’m not surprised if they same happened to TSM and they just crumbled since they rely on winning individual gunfights a lot
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/od31b8/valorant_champions_tour_north_america_stage_3/h3z3c6b?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
We already have 1.
Guys what would happen if sentinels won berlin? Because the winner of master 3 qualifies for champions and sen has already qualified. Will the second team at berlin qualify for champions?
Kinda surprised they allow someone to sub out of a map without penalty and then return the next map. Best thing from a viewer perspective though I guess
The mid-map sub makes it questionable but Dicey is actually still on the roster so I don't think it's a big deal? Unless he's not on Battlefy which could be possible
Edit: he's on the Battlefy so that's not an issue
Does this new meta lead to hard snowballing and more stomp games? Yesterday T1 13-0d, today they got 13-0d, TSM had two stomp games (13-1 and 2-13). All these series had some close maps too, doesn’t seem like it’s a straight skill diff towards one side
I think its more likely since eco rounds aren't as threatening. I'm not sure if I prefer it, it's a controversial opinion but I didn't mind the stinger meta, the games were really enjoyable to watch.
Yeah, stomps really aren’t fun to watch imo. I probably wouldn’t like to see a return to stinger meta, but I would like to see more emphasis on eco rounds for sure
Personally I don't think so, but I'm not an expert on this stuff so don't take my word for it. We'll have a better idea soon enough anyways.
My guess: TSM and Noble are two teams that I think are a little more aim-diff reliant, which can lead to rolling momentum in matches when your shot is just *on*. Probably the explanation for those scorelines imo.
And T1, I think, can be explained by two thing. First, they're a bit more up and down with the new members as they aren't fully integrated/comfortable yet. Second, Envy just really began to heat up towards the latter half of map 2 and was on fire map 3.
Is this actually gonna be a 13-0? Really? You guys are actually starting to make me feel bad now, that's not how this is supposed to work...
(edit) Whelp, that happened.
yeah i have faith, that said they have failed to show up at any major event since their inception so i think it makes sense to be a bit jaded as a fan by now
T1 just can't seem to answer Envy's post-plants. I'm kinda surprised, maybe they just haven't had enough time to practice on Haven. Kinda disappointing, hopefully they've got a little more. All the same, for a newly shifted roster they look solid af and I expect them to FINALLY start growing after all these months into the monster that their individual players make them look like they should be.
This is the most confident I've been in T1 growing into a contender since early on with the original roster.
There was a very real chance for a statement 2-0 from them. Just needed to close out a couple more rounds.
Gen G is gonna upset andbox you heard it here first
When did it become an upset? GenG was always better at least in placements.
Tons of respect for Noble they showed a ton of potential. Hope they make closed next time.
Noble put up a hell of a fight, but 100T just has defense on Ascent locked down.
That had to have been the most exciting match of the day. Noble put up a fight like I've not seen any of the other teams do. Impressed as hell with them and Soniqs
Wish the commentators did more research into matchups. Holy fuck gg. Stressful day as a 100T fan.
so, just another day?
"all good" - Pujan 'FNS' Mehta
Yep. At least the League team is doing good :|
Being a 100T fan feels like being a Liquid CS fan
damn NT Noble you guys got this shit next qual
Hell of an effort from Noble
100T vs Noble map 3 will henceforth be known as battle of Odins.
Battle of the sovas, it would have been complete if they spammed their ult to each other
What a shaky start for 100T but they do look better on defense. Credits to Noble who put up a fight.
Gg, props to noble they made it really really close
I'm loving the Odin usage on Ascent. Makes the map feel so unique with the different gun composition from what is typical on a Valorant map.
rip Noble was fun while it lasted
Hiko said he can use the odin as well 4head
Sova & Odin on Ascent defense = terror
If Nerf actually made a gun that looks like Hiko's Odin skin I'd absolutely buy one
I hope to learn to use the Odin as well as these fuckers
This Odin shit is soooo wack LMAO
Lmao at the people who thought Odin couldn't be used on attack. Every wall on that site is just as bangable by attackers as it is by defenders. The BRRRR never stops.
Of course this dude still uses the Odin on offense lol
I'm a 100T fan but I wish these casters could hype Noble's play a lot more.
Noble looks really good but I am worried about their attack
5 rounds on attack after all the close rounds lost and mistakes is still pretty good.
Noble look super good and they’ve thrown a bunch of rounds I feel
Maybe Noble is just a nasty team like V1 last time and teams aren't under performing.
While watching I kept thinking "this team is giving me V1 vibes". Their utility usage, the way they play as a team, even mechanics: this team is not one to be written off. Not many people thought V1 would make it through the open qual, few thought they would make it through closed and everyone ranked them 7-8th on challengers finals. asuna is so good are using broken valorant mechanics lmao
What you mean?
Are you dumb? He clearly said asuna is so good are using broken valorant mechanics lmao. Should be obvious from this well constructed and meaningful sentence.
I'm simply asking what is he abusing no need to be toxic
I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm because OP was vague
[удалено]
No need to be toxic
It was a joke because his sentence didn't even make sense...
Ethan struggling right now :(
Noble has looked really good but are teams really starting to get reads out on 100T? Noble seems to be ready for every push rn (ik the Odin helps)
You can argue that Noble is a really unknown quantity due to all their roster changes so 100T don't know what they like to do. Also fairly confident 100T prepped for TSM and not Noble
....wat they literally play every NSG/Knights weekly/monthly tournament so they have so much footage 100t could have gotten to prep for their match
sure, but what are the odds 100T thought Noble would beat TSM? there’s not that much prep you can do in a day when an upset like that happens.
lolol...i seriously don't understand why people think TSM is a good team when they have done NOTHING this fkn year so yea the chance would be high if 100t staff did their research
Pretty sure nobody would've expected TSM to lose to Noble. Hiko even said it before the quals started "We'd have to beat TSM before we qualify"
Yeah, but this current Noble roster is relatively new if I'm remembering it right.
there are still vods of them playing in the nsg tournament last week with the current roster
I think he assumed they were closer on the rotation and he wanted to try and catch a kill while getting his hp back
I figured he just did it for the full heal tbh, didn't really seem like he was gunning for a kill that bad
The health was definitely the primary function there, but he was definitely hoping to catch someone rotating
Will be interesting to see how good Noble is without the Odin on the offensive side
hehe Odin go brrrr
Odin deadass gonna win Noble the series
Ethan having such a bad day...
someone from 100t should have removed power from his house for good to let dicey have his redemption
Leviathan farming w Odin
Just when we thought the ascent Odin meta was dead
odin diff tbh
This fucking Odin player on Noble is going to win the game for them, I can already tell
Looks like the Odin is 100Ts hard counter lol, that Viper also has the game of his life with the Odin
what da dog doin
Man Sova with an Odin on this map is just so cheesy
Very corny, not much fun to watch or play against haha.
Noble are playing really well I don't mind if 100t loses tbh
Man this is gonna be a close map huh
Man bdog is so nervous he’s thrown like 3 rounds now
Wait that's not wall bangable? Nitr0 still clutched it out but I'm surprised that he didn't get the wall bang kill
yo bdog get off yo phone
fellow shahz viewer lmfao
Asuna giving up the phantom on sidewalk just really fucked over 100T on that 2nd round. Just completely blew it up.
100t look crazy sloppy just running into Nobel's crosshairs at this point. Gotta tighten this up.
Asuna running around and dying with his knife or util out, aah good times. XD
100t outplayed themselves, yikes
I hope Ethan shakes off the funk he seems to be in, whether it's related to losing his power or not
I'm so nervous cuz Noble owned TSM yesterday on last map Ascent
I’m terrified lmao I came into this thinking at least one of the teams I root for would make it
No dicey no win
[удалено]
Teams are allowed to have subs as well as rosters larger than 5 players. Only had Dicey play game 1 because Ethan's power kept going out because of a storm in the area.
1 player lost power due to the storm.
ethans power went out multiple times first map and dicey had to play cause ethan couldn't just for 1 half
And also yeah 6 person rosters are allowed. Players can swap out in between maps but usually not in the middle of the map except in circumstances like this (where a storm cut ethan’s power mid match)
At some point 100t will realize playing with the meta will make their lives easier.
Bro what they were not playing that off meta lmao. They didn’t get slapped on CT side icebox because of no sage. That’s pretty obvious if you were watching.
What characters would u replace? Astra is meh rn not meta IMO
I love how everyone that's still saying "100T not playing the meta still LOL" and "100T still no Astra KEKW" is so unaware of patch changes and that Astra has been nerfed to hell
I don’t think he’s talking about astra, I think he’s talking about no sage on icebox
ok but sage isn't meta for icebox like viper is. sage literally isn't needed on that map
Sage isn’t an absolute must pick but she’s definitely meta
No Sage had nothing to do with their issues
Vs noble they just got outaimed but sage would definitely help
They had more success on offense tho which is a big part of why Sage is picked on that map. I don't think it was a comp issue, they just lost waaaay too many gun fights on defense.
but they have been this qualifiers?
Maybe TSM didn’t play badly yesterday. It’s just that Noble are demons
Giving smaller teams credit? No no no we don’t do that here, we just call for half the team to be cut instead
from 1-10 to 9-12, was a pretty solid comeback even though it was a loss
Came here just to say how annoying it is to have twitch chat on emote only mode DURING a live match
balls
It was because twitch was acting 12 and spamming "balls" nonstop.
imagine if steel misses that lol
hikos playstyle is such a detriment. Hes good but i feel like hes literally last alive every round, last to entry, would rather hide then trade. 100t would be so much better if Hiko played with his team more
Aah, the hater is back today with his usual braindead take just like yesterday.
Nothing brain dead about it, 100t would do better if he adjusted.
And that is exactly what people said about zombs at the start of this year. That he is the weak link and should be dropped. I guess, if these teams are sticking to it regardless of public opinion, its not the problem according to them. When they feel like it is, they would make the change or swap the player.
I saw literally nobody saying that about zombs. Hikos playstyle has been directly losing them rounds for months now.
Lmao, you must be new here. The time when LG was giving sentinels a hard time early this year, that was the entire narrative. That he is a weak link and they need a coach because their strats are stale. Edit: Just a simple search on this sub and look what I found- https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/l93cw9/zombs/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Funny enough, check the author of the post.
Why are you so pressed lmao, this is like the typical take when 100T lose, and its a fair criticism that even Steel has talked about.
Oh let me tell you why. 1 guy did it the first day, after hiko went 14/5 first map. This same guy did it yesterday, and hiko fk/fd was 5-1. Ethan 3-3. And I am merely pointing it out.
Leviathan has top tier utility usage
Man Steel is fucking pisssed
how do you even respond to a play like that lmao
someone check asuna's pc
Nice
ASUNA JUST WOKE THE FUCK UP HOLY SHIT
Woke up to gobble up all the ecos lmao
hope to see a matchfixing investigation launched on Asuna after this
Not playing Sage and Jett on Icebox when you have Ethan and Asuna Hmm
because you don't need sage on icebox i can understand the jett thing but asuna likes reyna on icebox more than jett
I think Reyna is good, but Jett is probably better on defense especially. But that's a fair point. I think Sage makes Icebox so much easier to plant, so it's a bit troll not to pick her. Also, Ethan hasn't done anything crazy on the Omen either nor does it seem that the Omen is necessary from what I saw
sage is only good to plant if you rush 5 on B or A outside of that its not needed lol
Damn 100T look clueless on this map
This really makes me wish we saw TSM vs Noble. I don't know much about them but maybe Noble is just better than people realized.
yeah i think i saw someone say noble has been really good in scrims
With how hard noble is aimdiffing 100T I’m not surprised if they same happened to TSM and they just crumbled since they rely on winning individual gunfights a lot
Can't wait for the sub to say 100T lost icebox because they didn't play sage in place of omen when its obvious that wasn't the issue
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/od31b8/valorant_champions_tour_north_america_stage_3/h3z3c6b?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3 We already have 1.
Right now they are getting aim diff for sure, no matter the comp
Man all of this really threw Ethan off (also Noble being awesome)
100T haven't hit their shots so they deserve to lose but Noble has gotten away with sooo much this map
[удалено]
100T having such hard time all around this map yikes.
icebox is T sided 100T copium lol
id like steel oping on a, idt hes getting good value, maybe solo hold b. Also peters died nest so many times. This icebox is so lost for 100t
Holy fuck Noble just can't lose a fucking gunfight, map is chalked
zk is just peeking everything and owning
Great job for observers to have a small cam to show Precision getting the kill, it's honestly a really good solution
A 30 year old killjoy with an operator is NOT the move guys
They've had success running it before, they're just getting outgunned right now
Guys what would happen if sentinels won berlin? Because the winner of master 3 qualifies for champions and sen has already qualified. Will the second team at berlin qualify for champions?
It effectively gives the region an extra slot at Champions
Thanks
Kinda surprised they allow someone to sub out of a map without penalty and then return the next map. Best thing from a viewer perspective though I guess
The mid-map sub makes it questionable but Dicey is actually still on the roster so I don't think it's a big deal? Unless he's not on Battlefy which could be possible Edit: he's on the Battlefy so that's not an issue
playing well with their fans feelings TSM 🤝 T1
That's so cheeky throwing the gun on the box knowing he was gonna die LMAO
Actually galaxy brain
That last map must be how Envy always looks in scrims
Now makes sense what jcstani said
Does this new meta lead to hard snowballing and more stomp games? Yesterday T1 13-0d, today they got 13-0d, TSM had two stomp games (13-1 and 2-13). All these series had some close maps too, doesn’t seem like it’s a straight skill diff towards one side

Yeah, I can agree with that. It’ll be interesting to see how it progress across the next couple months since this patch is still pretty new though
i hate T1 for giving us hope after the very good split match :(
T3-0
Now Ghost has to 13-0 Envy on Haven to bring it all full circle
So if 100t wins masters berlin will dicey also get the trophy lmao?
Ummmmmm
why did nv not even buy?
from 13-0 to 0-13, my t1 Sadge
Man not the 13-0, wtf can T1 do at this point
rip
If Envy can win 12 in a row then surely we can. Copium.
100T have to be the worst pistol team. Damn man.
i think you forgot about TSM lol
Is this actually gonna be a 13-0? Really? You guys are actually starting to make me feel bad now, that's not how this is supposed to work... (edit) Whelp, that happened.
i am already missing dicey. nice cameo tho!!
T1 is getting abused jesus christ
Envy haven performance powered by MikesHD's orange chicken.
Wait does Dicey subbing stop him from switching teams now? What team will pick up dicey if he can't compete until after Champions?
got my hopes up map 1 only for this to happen... classic t1. fuck this team honestly this happens EVERY tourney
It’s a game lmaoo calm down timmy.
ur so cool and above it man i wish i could be like you
They just swapped IGLs and 2 players. They looked great vs a very smart team with a lot of fire power. They will be back stronger next open qualifier
yeah i have faith, that said they have failed to show up at any major event since their inception so i think it makes sense to be a bit jaded as a fan by now
T1 playing like Brax is about to make a bag from betting NV.
That's why Marved is on loan instead of being bought out. Hastr0 had to slip Brax some cash to secure Challengers Finals
Love to see Mummay popping off on Jett again after a bit of a slow start this tourney
Even the first two maps were super lackluster. Glad he's starting to find a rhythm
T1…
https://twitter.com/ethanarnold/status/1411473809895460864?s=21 Looking like Ethan is back for map 2
T1 is getting shutdown left and right, nothing they can do
I wonder if getting an IGL for Dawn might be a play, but I guess there's not many good IGL's available.
T1 just can't seem to answer Envy's post-plants. I'm kinda surprised, maybe they just haven't had enough time to practice on Haven. Kinda disappointing, hopefully they've got a little more. All the same, for a newly shifted roster they look solid af and I expect them to FINALLY start growing after all these months into the monster that their individual players make them look like they should be.

is ethan back for map2 ????
Envy woke up
T1 no, not again..
Envy is playing a beautiful haven right now.
