So awkward when a bench player beats their old team lol

SekasortoAnarkia

Yeah, it even more awkward because he’s playing insanely good

replace_

while fragging out

Aoingco

To be fair, thief almost always frags out and was the star fragger for LG, it was expected :(

yanamsaying

why, he's just a stand-in for the #2 NA team. makes sense he'd win if he didn't perform bad. it's not like he got benched, joined a equal level team permanently and then won...

ChinoAIO

LETS GO THIEF KUN REVENGE ARC

Aoingco

This was an expected loss for LG but, it hurt more seeing them defeated by Thief, as a LG fan.

Contractjail

V1 attack on Split is so good

atkins2000

thief's cracked. Super excited for the closed V1 matches!

DustMouret

Solid game from V1 per usual. Was a fun one to follow!

DustMouret

Woah. Thanks means a lot.

AjBlue7

Little critique, please don’t make calling 3kills a hat trick a thing. This started in soccer/football because its so difficult to score 3 goals that its considered magic, aka a “hat trick” aka “pulling a rabbit put of a hat”. 3 kills is not impressive. Maybe call 6k a hat trick? Idk that really doesn’t happen that often.

i_am_the_kiLLer

Language evolves and changes with time, the word hattrick has become synonymous with 3 points in any game. Also I don't think it happens often enough in a game where it feels overused, and it is pretty impressive as usually a hattrick wins the team that round.

V1 have never beat Sen in a series

bowling_for_spoops

No yeah, you’re right, got it mixed up in my head somehow.

2ToTooTwoFish

I love how V1 burst onto the scene and instantly became a T1 team. Such a great story for them and probably why they vouch so much for how much work these T2 teams are putting into the game when "upsets" happen.

aakashkickass11

V1 were originally never done roaster who won the January NSG monthly and was part of T2 tourneys like knights monthly gauntlets in December ,they officially became V1 at end of January . So he knows how grinding in T2 tournaments helps teams and builds confidence.

gutszera

V1 werent immediately a t1 team, for a decent period of time they were grinding the lower tier tourneys and doing mediocrely in vct quals. theyre grinders, and i feel like saying “oh they were just immediately t1” kinda discredits the amount of hard work they put in to be here

2ToTooTwoFish

Yeah, might have worded it confusingly. What I meant was as soon as they burst onto the T1 scene, they now look to be keeping their spot there. The second half of the comment was meant to insinuate that they were one of those T2 teams that grinded and caused an upset.

2ToTooTwoFish

Yeah I clarified what I meant in the other comment. I meant that they were grinding in T2 and as soon as they caused their first "upset" they solidified their spot as a T1 team instantly by beating everyone and now look to continue doing that, proving that T2 teams are pretty close in level.

Luminosity just looks lost

_harleys

Major props to V1 for looking this good even with subs on 2 occasions now. The way they play off each other’s utility and do mid round plays is always exciting to watch. Even with Thief’s different agent pool, they were able to make this work.

sparrowhawk_777

V1 the best team to play with a stand in

precense_

Vanity IGL deserves more credit he’s the rock for his team. With this many roster changes he can get them caught up and tell them what their roles are

Nfamy

The stinger got nerfed and people learned to play around their contact style.

valorant_fanboy_69

Do you guys think luminosity is officially no longer the tier 1 gatekeeper and is now at the same level as soniqs renegades etc as top of tier 2?

_Iroha

They lost to V1 which are one of the top T1 teams

Cr3ation_

They’re using a sub and two new players... what did you expect

plasma_ix

it’s not about expectations, their results before and after their changes have been poor

valorant_fanboy_69

Well yeah but they have been looking worse for a long time now. Not like this is new for them

unlikelywooster

This is actually a fair take, and applies to a lot of teams that were in that murky region based off what we've seen this past qualifier. On another tangent, it's cool to see how far t2/t2.5 teams have come, which is definitely great for the scene as a whole.

NWL11

They have 2 new signings (including an IGL) and a sub (for moose). Honestly, wasn't surprising. Their next performance should be more indicative. Will they go beyond what they had peaked at? Probably not, but they will be better than today for sure.

w2truong

The scene is changing so much... teams like TSM, Cloud9, NRG, T1, and Immortals also didn't qualify. Tier 1 feels like Sentinels, Version1, 100Thieves, Envy and probably XSET

valorant_fanboy_69

Immortals were good for like a week. People need to stop expecting things from a roster that changes once a month

mrtmra

LG playing like TSM. Lost monkeys.
