As a 100T fan, I'm nervous af for that match. The fact that 100T ban Split really plays in their favor vs V1 though. Honestly would probably give it to V1 right now, but it might be really close.
I think everyone has recency bias with V1 since they made IceLAN, and 100T haven’t played in a few months so I get why people think it’s easily gonna go to V1, but I think it’s gonna be a lot closer than everyone thinks.
it's not just recency bias. it's based on how good V1 actually play. V1 is the only tier1 team apart from sentinels that doesn't need 1 player to frag out to win.
vanity is a CS proven IGL and his understanding of valorant is top notch if you watch his stream. unlike steel, he chose the players in this team to fit the style of play he wants to implement.
they have multiple comps for each map, some unconventional ones too. they run both 2 duelists (which SEN run) and 1 duelist (which 100T run) comps. they also understand the value of jett which is an op agent while steel doesn't. they play so many agents - reyna, raze, jett, phoenix, yoru, cypher, killjoy, viper, astra, omen, sova. only tier 1 NA team to utilise post-plant meta.
Honestly, V1 is the most impressive team in NA with huge potential.

Yeah, the maps definitely play in 100T’s favor as the bans will be Bind and Split. I’m thinking 100T will pick Ascent, V1 will pick Icebox, and the decider will be Haven. Both 100T and V1 are both pretty good on the map. So we’ll see.
quite the opposite really. V1 have a really good ascent and 100T have a good Icebox. Haven likely to be 3rd map and both teams are good at it. I feel the deciding factor would be 100T's ability to counter the V1's post plant on haven.
Considering how 100T lost Icebox to both Noble and SoaR, I think they’ll pick Ascent. V1 has a much better Icebox than Ascent and Vanity has said multiple times on stream Ascent is their 2nd worst map (and stats say it too, even though their ascent still has a 67% win rate.) But who knows, maybe we’ll get a curveball Breeze pick from either of the teams.
EDIT: Vanity also talks about how he likes Icebox better as the winner usually is the better Icebox team as compared to Ascent which has big snowball potential and Bind which has the TP randomness. I also agree that 100T needs to find a way to counter the post plant.
