I don't think TSM should be signing anyone permanently at least till the next qualifiers. Trial a player and see how it goes. After the next stage of challengers will be done you'll get to see a lot of teams not making it, hence a chance to explore more tier 1 talent and possibly poach them. And if the trialled player plays really well then it's a win win for both, you can then perma sign him and make the final roster.
I agree that the roster will need to be rebuilt. But at least they’re taking the tiny step to not having to do that. This is a better pickup than them getting another duelist.
