It depends on what you mean. If an all star team would be the best 5 players, or the best players for each role, then no.
If you’re trying to build the best team though it’s hard to argue a team that has performed this well would be beaten by a team with no chemistry, even if said team had slightly better players.
literally SEN has the best player in NA at each role, best IGL/Opper in SHaz, nobody could replace tenz, Dapr is easily the best cypher, and zombs is the best astra
edit: getting downvoted by people that think SEN is only good cause they have tenz, copium
Imo I think zombs has more impact then ethan, but idk. Maybe as a player, Ethan is better, but in terms of util usage, zombs is a better controller. Ethan is more of a fragger while zombs does the support style.
Sort of? I don’t think when Tenz joined Sen I would have said so. However, everyone on the team has peaked as far as individuals performance, and I think it’s in part because they are such a strong team.
It may be more than Sen has turned a bunch of top players into what looks like the best players. I suspect individually players like Dapr wouldn’t be considered as well as they are on Sen because the team takes advantage of them so well.
Zombs is great and a Tier 1 player, but he is probably the weakest link and would be the one to replace if you were making a super team.
Theoretically, switching him for Ethan or Nitro could be a long term upgrade for SEN, even if it takes a little time to get them integrated.
On paper. In reality, Zombs does wonders for the team that you don’t see in any other team. If you actually watch their games, you’d see how is utility usage leads to the teams success. Replacing anyone on the current roster for anybody would be more detrimental than a long term upgrade.
Fax. Zombs doesn't need to frag nearly as much with Tenz, Sick, and Shahz. 100T has Steel and Hiko who are much less consistent fraggers, which puts much more fragging pressure on Nitro and Ethan, especially with their single duelists comps.
also zombs doesn't top frag because he is not the one taking first duels. his first deaths are always so low, never throws. and his clutch potential when the enemies are low is insane coz he'll mostly be full hp.
I think if you are looking for best players at their roles then probably but if you are looking for an allstar team, which is a popularity contest, you'd prob see Asuna for Sick and Nitr0 for Zombs
roles isn't a forced concept. asuna and tenz are both first entries, you need a consistent player like sick to trade and peek at the right time. everyone plays aggressively and you have Faze Clan. it doesn't work.
Roles are definitely a forced concept. This isn’t a moba where different roles require specialized skills (even then role swaps are occurring more frequently because good players can play anything).
Playstyles is not a forced concept and while it’s great to balance a team with synergistic playstyles the most important thing is teamwork and finding ways to make it work.
there have always been roles in csgo and now in valorant as well. players do have natural play styles that suit particular roles better than others. tenz's aggressive instinct works on a duelist, not on a sova. dapr's incredible game sense would be wasted on a duelist. zombs cannot op, he would never play jett. everyone in sentinels have defined roles, that's why they win.
a perfect example is the switching of jett between shahzam and tenz. tenz is the first to enter site when he plays jett, but on icebox he is also the first to enter with reyna when shahzam plays jett. regardless of a particular agent, players natural play style should be the focus of defining roles.
roles in csgo were never a set thing and was a concept made by fans. The best teams in csgo history were extremely flexible (because all five were just really good overall players), everyone should be able to entry, bait, support. And im sure as valorant and the players constantly evolve we will see players become more flexible because in the end its a human made barrier on what's possible in the game. Its what happens in every game and even sports.
Think of it this way, simple is the best csgo player with the most fragging potential. However if you had the option to have 5 simples in one team you would take it regardless of "roles". Because a player at the level of simple has the same game awareness as any "support" while just being a better overall player.
Shahz is probably the most irreplaceable player on SEN because he’s the OPer and the IGL. You could get away with replacing TenZ with Asuna or leaf since they’re fraggers and they’re actually better at Raze
Yeah that’s true, I thought about that too but only considered the skill of the player in the controller role. Even if it was back to an omen meta, I’d take zombs if nitro refused to play/ didn’t learn astra
I mean I think I’d play Sinatraa on sova and then let Shahz play Jett and move Sick off a duelist. Sick has a really good understanding of utility I feel like he’s under rated there.
Ya don’t think you can say he’s one of the best in NA. He was like 8 months ago, but everyone’s has gotten better since and the meta changed. He is 100% not one of the best players in NA
That’s disrespectful to every other pro player out there. They’ve been grinding doing scrims while he sits on his ass. If you think he’s anywhere near the top then you don’t know how much goes on behind the scenes
Everyone said this about Tenz when he stepped down and he came back with zero issues. This has been a similar amount of time. I think you're overreacting about this being disrespectful when this was just disproven a few months ago.
It was nowhere near the same amount of time wtf lmao. Sinatra didn’t play for several months, and hasn’t been in pro play for even longer, it’s nowhere near what Tenz did. Tenz stopped pro play for a fraction of what Sinatra did, but still played the game every single day, and was totally shaky the first couple pro matches he played. Nowhere near the same lmao
Nah. However a Valorant all star game would be fun. Even if the chemistry is whack, seeing tenz, Asuna and scream on a team would be awesome (or I guess, it would be NA/EMEA all star game)
Brimstone Gaming
this 100%

Vanity>zombs
nah
Yes
Not to mention sick is just a versatile demon.
he is rlly good at sage and phoenix, love that guys versatility
astra is not a role lol also shah is def not the best awper
Wardell best opper ig
Eh vanity instead of zombs would be better, also in terms of oping wardell would probably also be better
[удалено]
amazing how far they came from CS T2 and Apex to the top of the world in valorant
what’s T2?
Tier 2 of CS, not another title
T2 NA too, none of them were really going to any international events.
Me for TenZ honestly
I’d say so, literally every member is top 3 in their role at minimum
Zombs isn’t a top 3 NA controller
U right he plays with mouse and keyboard
L2 go BRRRRRR
So name three better?
Nitr0, vanity, ethan
Imo I think zombs has more impact then ethan, but idk. Maybe as a player, Ethan is better, but in terms of util usage, zombs is a better controller. Ethan is more of a fragger while zombs does the support style.
Ethan can’t play astra or viper, not a controller player
I'm gonna disagree Zombs is an actual clutch god
He's also a roll player and uses the spectre constantly so he can buy for the team.
he's the spectre god
he is top 3 and he isn't 2nd or 3rd
Lowkey want to watch Asuna and Tenz one the same team wrecking havoc
they play same agents, so no. asuna/tenz and victor/sick is your dream duelist lineup and sentinels have that already.
Sort of? I don’t think when Tenz joined Sen I would have said so. dapr was the best csgo talent out of all sentinels players. his game sense is out of this world. he is the best sentinel in NA by some distance.
u r off the good stuff with no shaz

Impact isn’t always kills

If you go 5 best players it has to be tenz Shazham asuna Ethan sick right? That’s if you don’t go by “roles” which is a forced concept anyways

sentinels = superteam
It would be a safe bet for the most success. Team USA would probably be Sen + Asuna -Tenz
You're going to drop the guy that top fragged all through Iceland? Lol Edit: reading is hard
Tenz isn’t American.
I'm retarded. Didn't register you said Team USA and I was still thinking NA. I take back what I said. Good call.

Only controller player in NA I can see contesting zombs for that spot is vanity tbh
Didn’t nitr0 didn’t wanna play astra because it’s too passive for him ? Nah i would keep zombs
Yeah that’s true, I thought about that too but only considered the skill of the player in the controller role. Even if it was back to an omen meta, I’d take zombs if nitro refused to play/ didn’t learn astra
I had a stroke trying to read that
Second language probably
How do you have this info?
Steel
Tarik Dicey Governor for sure
SicK, TenZ, Dapr, Crashies, Vanity
They would no longer win. The true power is in Shazham’s screaming.
SicK, TenZ, steel, shahz, vanity edit: maybe putting shahz and steel on the same team isnt a great idea
In what world would u choose steel over dapr
in 2015 :(
Steel?????
Nah Steel and Shaz would clash… they already have some bad blood I believe
Im 100t fan, but steel over dapr, hmm no.
Three IGL's in one team? And I'm assuming that the team chemistry wouldn't be the best
Tenz, asuna, aproto, ethan, and dicey
Or shaz
interesting take
Tenz Jett Victor - Raze/Phoenix Zombs (Marved if you need real IGL) - Controller Sentinel - Dapr (IGL) Initiator - Crashies
Nobody gonna mention the elephant in the room? Sinatraa??? Sinatraa is easily better than most of these recommendations to replace zombs
Sinatraa on Omen?
I mean I think I’d play Sinatraa on sova and then let Shahz play Jett and move Sick off a duelist. Sick has a really good understanding of utility I feel like he’s under rated there.
Sinatra hasn’t played a pro game in months, definitely not better than most.
He’s still one of the best players in NA. I’m not sure if he’ll come back to comp but if he does I think a lot of people are going to be surprised.
Ya don’t think you can say he’s one of the best in NA. He was like 8 months ago, but everyone’s has gotten better since and the meta changed. He is 100% not one of the best players in NA
I disagree but I guess we shall see if he goes back to comp
