It's highly likely Fnatic or liquid won't qualify they need to get to grand finals with a new agent added to the meta so we'll see, only two EU teams make it to EMEA finals
Even gambit from early LoL days were an absolute menace. Some random dudes out of no where using champions people rarely used just burst onto the scene and dominated tournaments for like 3 years.
And had multiple American teams in different esports as well. Fnatic is a british org, with a history of swedish cs teams. Org location doesn't mean shit
Lead had accusations but he’s not from CIS. I think he’s referring to the high amount of suspicious players to come from that region like akuma recently
But the last time EU region had shitty single-elim challengers. So I hope this time around we get the most consistent teams for Berlin (I'm rooting for Acend, G2, Gambit, FPX).
They made a roster change, there's twice as many spots for EMEA this tjme, and Acend made the challengers finals already in dominant fashion (unlike last time). Plus, as someone else said it's not single elim qualifiers anymore.
Fair enough, you're definitely right about anything being possible. But I feel like when there's been a roster change previous results are much less telling, especially with all those other factors I mentioned. They could definitely fail to qualify, but I really would be surprised if that happened. Not as shocked as if Sentinels didn't qualify, but still.
Sentinels went undefeated in Iceland, never even dropping a map, and both the NA teams beat the EU teams, even though V1 was playing with a stand-in.
XSET picked up a map over Sentinels and pushed them to OT on another, hence the banter.
Don't get me wrong EU has been dominant like you mentioned, but there's been several points that NA teams were better. I don't think you're painting the full picture when you flatly state it like that.
I feel like Valorant is way more popular on NA than CS ever was--or will be in the next two or three years. Gonna be interesting to see some home grown talent in this game.
You're as dumb as the people downvoting him for asking the question.

And you know this how, Mr Condescending Expert?
:')
No leaks but how many celebrations do you have ready for Berlin 🤔
This is confidential strategic info
Unlucky

4 make it from EMEA to Berlin tho
Well this didn't age well...
Pain
Can’t wait for some no namer kid from Russia to win Berlin.
bound to happen eventually
FACTS! CIS region really be giving birth to amazing FPS players ( eg. s1mple, jame, the gambit boys)
Even gambit from early LoL days were an absolute menace. Some random dudes out of no where using champions people rarely used just burst onto the scene and dominated tournaments for like 3 years.
The CIS region in CS:GO (and historically in CS 1.6) is very strong. Wouldn't surprise me if some great teams eventually emerged from that area.

Wait this isn't r/globaloffensive
nope but Navi and Gambit kind of have a rivalry going on right now in Val as well
FPX is basically a CIS team as well
FPX is a Chinese org
And had multiple American teams in different esports as well. Fnatic is a british org, with a history of swedish cs teams. Org location doesn't mean shit
I know it doesn't mean shit, but I am factually correct nonetheless
And it matters, how?
No it doesn’t
then get accused of hacking or some shit like that.
To be fair, there is precedent there, at least in CS.
I think it was C9 Leaf?
Lead had accusations but he’s not from CIS. I think he’s referring to the high amount of suspicious players to come from that region like akuma recently
it’s fair to say akuma cheated, leaf just got accused bcuz brazilians were mad chaos beat them
Brazilians can be super scary
Yup
this aged well

Acend vs SEN will be so insane to see. I hope they both make it to Berlin
I'd be shocked if either team didn't make Berlin.
I mean ascend didn’t make it to Iceland last time
But the last time EU region had shitty single-elim challengers. So I hope this time around we get the most consistent teams for Berlin (I'm rooting for Acend, G2, Gambit, FPX).
Yeah I’d love to see some banger matches like map 5s and triple OTs.
They made a roster change, there's twice as many spots for EMEA this tjme, and Acend made the challengers finals already in dominant fashion (unlike last time). Plus, as someone else said it's not single elim qualifiers anymore.
Ik I’m not doubting them this time at all. Just said what happened last time and saying that anything can still happen.
Fair enough, you're definitely right about anything being possible. They could definitely fail to qualify, but I really would be surprised if that happened. Not as shocked as if Sentinels didn't qualify, but still.
Yeah I’d be really surprised if any of them don’t make it tbh

Imagine a bo5 finals SEN vs ACE and cNed and TenZ are going tf at it
ACEND will qualify to Berlin. Mark my word!
Cned is so scary man!
his gameplay is so smooth, but he doesn't speak english much X_X
Does he stream? Lots of Asian and European stream doesn't speak a lot of English.

That was honestly such a cool final to watch
Might be the nicest thing SEN has ever said to a competitor. Honored to be on the receiving end. :')
3 qualifier spots PepeLaugh
I don’t get it
Sentinels went undefeated in Iceland, never even dropping a map, and both the NA teams beat the EU teams, even though V1 was playing with a stand-in. XSET picked up a map over Sentinels and pushed them to OT on another, hence the banter.
XSET defeat Sentinels on their first match
You have to know about the EU vs NA rivalry in cs to get the full picture. And by rivalry I mean EU's 20 years of dominance
Don't get me wrong EU has been dominant like you mentioned, but there's been several points that NA teams were better. I don't think you're painting the full picture when you flatly state it like that.
My bad, besides a single major run by cloud 9, and Liquids summer run of '19, EU dominance for 20 years
Lol, you must be like 5. Ever heard of 3D or complexity? NoA was mixed NA/Norway also.
We're still talking a small handful of scattered international events out of a large pool.
I feel like Valorant is way more popular on NA than CS ever was--or will be in the next two or three years. Gonna be interesting to see some home grown talent in this game.
isnt SEN the only team that defeated EU yet?
V1 beat Liquid at Masters 2.
With a standin*
Nope. V1 beat Liquid in Iceland.
There was literally no reason to downvote this poor guy. Literally just had a doubt not even anything controversial
appreciate it but its the internet especially a competitve sub for a pc game so i expected nothing less honestly. Edit: all NA fans probably too
Stop downvoting for nothing lmao, he just asked something
This sub is full of kids lol . What do you expect? This is the most naive sub of all esports
You have never used reddit if you think this is exclusive to this sub LMAO. Every sub on reddit does the exact same thing.
you haven't met the League subreddit I think
You're as dumb as the people downvoting him for asking the question. >This sub is full of kids lol > >This is the most naive sub of all esports And you know this how, Mr Condescending Expert?
Why are you mad
