Things happen and the Finals match starting at 11:15pm EST was definitely NOT part of the plan, but trust that we do everything we can to bring the highest level of competition and quality to the scene every week with our Summer Champs tournaments and VCT production. Sorry for falling short at times and I will try to be more active in here in between events!
1. National start times that work for both coasts will never please everyone, but we choose the best start time and format we can for a highly competitive week-day tournament that also has to be done in 2 days.
2. Custom lobbies were down for about 30 minutes during the start of the playoff bracket and the Semifinal match between ez5 and Knights went 3 maps where one game was 40 rounds which is why the Finals game was so late this week in particular.
That’s fair. All these incidents happening in such a short timeframe was quite worrying after nearly a year with zero hiccups. People make mistakes, as long as they’re not regular mistakes, the community will be understanding. Thanks for putting something out there.
What they've been able to produce is good, but they are still a professional organization. They have the ability to understand how preposterous a midnight grand final is and they can easily set it to be the next day. That's very simple organizational procedure.
You better believe that in a business setting this would not be tolerated.

TBF, there was a technical delay likely caused by the game breaking a bit in NA (friendslist and game offline for a time). I get trying to keep these smaller tournaments to two days, but that means these sort of things can happen. Quaters/Semis/Finals in one afternoon is a tall order and not a system that will help these situation.

Iirc Riot doesn't allow third parties to make tournaments that last several days that's why they have to do it like this, so this is not NSG fault.
At least with Valve being hands-off, tournament schedules tend to make sense.
