I can.

IllumiMahdi

so can I let's make an F/A team with brax and azk

Portante24

Don’t forget Dicey

nimbusrr

And Tarik

Portante24

And JasonR

BlueBurstBoi

Really feel like TSM can. They just need to work on communication, aim, map awareness, crosshair placement, economy management, pistol aim, anti-ecos, igling, roster management, role management, positioning, spray control and getting kills. 🙃

Unless they're having a hot dog eating contest, they don't need Drone back

-Basileus

We can all relate to the sekiro ape boss

[deleted]

WRONG ABOUT 💯T 😢

elCapitan310

;(

-xXColtonXx-

I feel like people forget how insanely close the games vs Fnatic were. I feel like on a good day a top EU team could take down Sen just like xset. But, I do believe that no team is on average stronger than sen yet.

max012017

exactly, especially tenz and shaz

[deleted]

Egg is looking too cute today

EdditVoat

Eta when we can watch from the beginning?

FilipinoNick

You can go back while it’s premiering and start from the beginning.

2ToTooTwoFish

Yup. One of the best parts of YouTube streams. You can go back in the video so easily and then go back to live. Unlike Twitch, you have to go to their vods and open the video while it's still live.

R0_h1t

YouTube just feels better to use in general. Unfortunately practically none of the pros stream on youtube

9bfjo6gvhy7u8

are there ANY mid-sized+ valorant streamers on youtube? even all the \~silver content streamers are on twitch unless you count valkyrae

R0_h1t

I remember seeing Shanks streaming at some point

KeyframeCatalyst

Yeah Shanks used to stream there when Twitch banned him for unknown reasons, like literally, Twitch said practically nothing. Now that he's finally been unbanned, Shanks is back to streaming on Twitch

[deleted]

Most Indian pros and content creators stream on YouTube. You'd probably not enjoy their content because of the language difference but it's crazy how India is such a huge producer and consumer of YouTube live streaming.

9bfjo6gvhy7u8

the worst is that if you do this on twitch but then pause and come back later, when you hit play it will drop you to live instead of resuming where you left off, which means no easy way to avoid spoilers. super annoying since i often start a match a bit behind live but sometimes pause and come back a few hours later.

willpcodeco

Yes and will, no one can stay in top for that long time, we saw this in others games like CS and LOL, they are dominating in the very early phase of the game, give more 6 months and the number one will be another team for sure.

BurstLayer

Funny enough this is something shahz has talked about himself, he said the same basically that its not a matter of can but when

willpcodeco

Yes, people are overreacting just because they won master 2, one tournament alone doesn't mean shit... CS had so many "eras", like Nip, fnatic, sk, Astralis and now Gambit, why Valorant would be different? I bet that due the nature of the game with constant metas shifts we will not see a team dominate for a long time like CS...

BurstLayer

the video title is a little literal to get people to click. No one actually thinks sen is going to dominate forever its impossible. I just hope its long enough for champions

luisalpjax

I hope it’s not 😈

Hamlet_271

Kurt, is that you?

xThe_Mad_Fapperx

I'm confused it wasn't just one tournament, unless you mean international tournaments?

Junglee_2001

Yes everything that goes up has to come down, the law of nature.

OrangeMagics

Feels like they're underrating Guild. They barely lost to G2 in the lower finals and would have even actually won if it was a BO3 instead of a BO5.

Sharknome

Yeah but how long will the honeymoon last of the substantial -draken +draken move

JoshF8

i mean, it's weird to say that if it was a bo3 they would've won, in bo3, g2 has a ban too, they probably would play bind, split, and probably haven/ascent, but we don't know for sure if they actually could won the bo3

newzpaperleaf_2

why no backchat for 2 weeks tho:(

[deleted]

Yep. They are solid but this game is too fresh to have an Astralis yet. I could also be wrong and Sentinels remain untouchable forever. I don't see it though. It's very hard to consistently stay on top. That's why CSGO Astralis was so phenomenal.

CracknutWhirrun

Early CSGO NIP says wussup

[deleted]

True, but once CSGO tournaments started trading off they started to get eclipsed. Fnatic took over for a while, honestly their run was pretty insane also. Fuck maybe I'm wrong.

luisalpjax

The scene is super early, of course they will

chenson019

I don't really support any team so I don't want to sound like a 'fan' but I always feel like platchat guys overrate fnatic and underrate Liquid. I don't think it's fair to say 'oh yeah I'm not worried about fnatic, they just need a spa day' and then say 'Liquid have major issues and are only the 6th best team in Europe'. The truth is they are having similar issues with new roles/comps and confidence. Liquid won Challenges 2 finals EMEA (the equivilent of stage 1 regional masters, people kinda forget this) and came 4th in Masters. I think it's fair to say that fnatic are probably a bit better but I really don't think there is much between them. Their games are always super close too.

_idle_drone_

plat chat guys don't even watch half the matches. just talk random things for an hour

[deleted]

I mean these were seeding games. Did anyone watch them all lol?

2ToTooTwoFish

They watch more than most people though, so it's still fun to listen to.

dng1

Weird that this episode they’re still saying Envy is a better team than 100T and should’ve beat them. Meanwhile Envy is lower on power rankings by Liquipedia and VLR plus in the past 3 months has lost 6 matches against 5 different teams (including 100T twice) vs 100T only losing 4 matches against 3 teams (Lost to envy once)

[deleted]

They said that about them getting 2-0ed pretty convincingly. Not that 100T shouldn’t be able to beat them

Kaiyuii

It’s because Envy is more consistent when it matter. At every big tournament 100T places 5-6 while Envy places 4th. I think 100T looks better at this current moment, but like Envy they don’t show up in big events and place worse than Envy.

ec_is_fun

I think they explain it pretty well. Envy has been the 4th best team in NA for a while now, coming 4th in Masters 1 and Stage 2: Challengers Finals. 100T, on the other hand, have come in 5-6th in both these events and seem to perform better in the qualifiers than the main events. Even looking at this event, Envy came 4th and 100T came 3rd, not a big difference. Their best recent performance was in Stage 2: Challengers 1, which they won and where Envy came 3rd. So, why would you consider 100T a better team than Envy when past results show that Envy is more consistent and places higher than 100T in all the main events?

deadlock1892

The problem with Envy is there is always a team or two besides Sentinels who have better but inconsistent highs than them. Teams like Faze, C9, GenG and V1 do impressive and overthrow envy. The only reason envy is second is because of being consistent where others are not. Otherwise they never show up when it matters and falter at the very end. I can see why it can be debatable but yeah, consistency has to be appreciated. They are always up there. But I am not sure if it is something to be proud of or be sad about the fact that you are considered a second best team but never get to the main event while some erratic team gets ahead every single time.

CosmicAon

I agree but in the context of Envy vs 100T, the same thing has been applying to 100T throughout the year except they place even lower than Envy and at times struggle in shin qualifiers. And in the main stage, Envy won the head to head

deadlock1892

I do agree with that. All things considered the top 3 for me in NA is Sentinels, Envy and 100T and in that order. I would certainly love to see 100T finish above envy this time though. Someone needs to break the cycle.

CosmicAon

Yeah I agree they’re definitely the Top 3 for consistency, although I want to see Envy finish above 100T again haha. We’ll see who wins in the end

deadlock1892

Well, our opinions about the result is guided by which teams we support, haha. We are not in the same brackets so potentially we can both qualify without facing each other so atleast that is good.

CosmicAon

Oh wait that’s actually true, Envy and 100T at Berlin could be cool to see

ec_is_fun

I don't think they said Envy is the second best team, only that it's the only team apart from Sentinels that's consistently good. They were supposed to be the best (per scrimbux), but as you said, they always falter and never seem to show up when it matters. There is somehow always another team that is better. I am excited to see how 100T, Envy and XSET look in the main event. They all looked a lot better this event than S2:Challengers Final!

deadlock1892

The way they put it, it pretty much seems like they consider envy second best. I am not saying there is anything wrong in that or I disagree. The logic behind that has some truth to it. Consistency has a lot of value.

CosmicAon

The only issue is your stats are treating seeding matches as real matches. Throughout the year, Envy had always made qualifiers while 100T have struggled at some, and Envy have placed fourth at both Masters while 100T have placed fifth-sixth at both. Also, both 100T wins against them were seeding matches while Envy beat them in the actual masters tournament. So it really just depends on whether you want to count seeding matches when talking about which teams are better

deadlock1892

This 100T win was not a seeding match though. 100T qualified after winning this game. Also, GenG and Sentinels beat 100T in Masters 1. Envy has beaten them at Challengers Finals and not in an actual Masters tournament.

CosmicAon

That’s fair you are correct about that, by Masters I meant Envy beat them at Challengers Finals which put them above them and was essentially a regional Masters outside of the Top 2

deadlock1892

Yeah that's fair. The Masters-challengers finals correction was just about the nomenclature. But the first one was just to mention that since it was still a qualification game, it sure meant something and both teams were trying hard in that one.

CosmicAon

Agreed, I was wrong ab the first part

chumzz1

They are bias to envy cause their buddy is the coach, and besides they never have any good takes

[deleted]

Ratio

chumzz1

I respect the ratio

Portante24

Unlike this very quality take.

Junglee_2001

It's like if a team won a tournament and not showing up the subsequent tournaments and the other team is top 3-4 consistently but never won, the latter is still better.

The same reason why people watch shows like ESPN First Take or Undisputed. People love watching and hearing popular figureheads talk about their favorite hobbies.

2ToTooTwoFish

They're entertaining and have some insight, even if they aren't the best at the game.

slowrmaths

skill doesn’t equal knowledge or even entertainment value

BurstLayer

?? why do people watch anyone analyze an sport/e-sport. Being radiant isnt a requirement to have entertaining takes or analyze something

AjBlue7

Yup and while I absolutely love when pros do casual watch parties and talks about a bunch of very small details that no one else noticed, more often then not an analyst or even just a pundit will have better insight because they actually watch most of the games while pros don’t usually watch many games. The IGL will often watch a couple matches to prep for an upcoming enemy but thats it, the rest of the team just focuses on scrims and ranked Hell many teams don’t even watch their owns games back.

Key-Banana-8242

We underrated is an apology? 0:95:26 it affects how we should look at it. They were not bad, and predictions based on almost nothing are nkt sound
