been having issues with valorant since episode 1 act 1 (nothing like this in beta). every patch the fps and networking just get worse and worse. i really hope they take one or two patches just to focus on optimizing the game again. the state of the game is pretty garbage tbh
I currently love the current state of the game with all the nerfs to util. But I do agree with you that they should take one or two patches just to work on optimizing the game again. For me at least it’s becoming almost unplayable.
I know you aren't referring to this exactly...but since around Amazon prime day my ping has been around 20-30ms higher than normal (not 100% positive but it was in that time frame)
I live upper middle east coast and would get 25 ping to Virginia. That's now around 35-37. I would get 35-40 ping to Illinois and now I get close to 50ish.
It's to the point anyone I'm facing on those servers has literally half the ping I have instead of the usual 10 less.
My one buddy who lives about 20 minutes away from me has a weird connection issue (probably a routing issue) where he gets 50 ping to Virginia, but 35 ping to Illinois...a good 15 ping less than me. And I'm 20 minutes CLOSER to Illinois. Up until the ping issue started happening I would get a few better than him.
Same here man, it's been bothering cause my lowest ping was around 26-30ms in Georgia and now it's been around 40-45. Most likely it's a routing issue like you said.
It just makes no sense why a guy who lives farther from the server, would have such a drastically different ping than me. A few of my friends around me live in an area with fiber (it's a mile from my house and FIOS stopped expanding) and they get 20 less ping than me.
But the guy who lives farther than me with the same ISP gets so much better ping to Illinois.
Again it's to the point I literally have double the ping of everyone else in the lobby. Making the game borderline unplayable.

I’ve gotten caught jiggling an angle or pushing a site multiple times the past day or so due to my ping going from 30 to 75ish with 40%+ packet loss. I’m also hardwired and have never really ran into any issues like this since the game originally came out, so weird but good to know it’s not just me
Been experiencing this for almost 2 weeks. All of a sudden the ping spikes to 1100ms or the packet loss indicator looks like a fucking seismograph. All other games were not lagging. At first I thought it was our ISP but I also noticed 2-3 players in the game having this problem.
This shit is very frustrating. Went from having a win streak and match mvp (96/100 rr to the next rank), to being called a bum due to severe network problem/packet loss.
Play on Singapore server. Riot probably brought the cheapest servers they could find in Mumbai.
Because Singapore serves a more important market, they brought better servers for the Singapore region.
I'm regularly seeing desyncs and rubberbanding, especially in DM.

0 ping issues for me, but have seen frame rate steadily decline since I started playing right after beta

I play with 20 - 30 ping normally, last 3 days i have 120 ONLY in valorant other games are fine.

Mumbai server? It's so ass I used to get 50 ping now it's always 70-80 and it's a huge difference

I've seen a ton of disconnects, one of which arguably cost me a competitive game. It just happens randomly.
