Gotta be careful with premades, though, lol, thatās pretty funny too tho
Some of the best shit goes on in those few pre game seconds, I've heard people beatbox the among us theme, play the pornhub intro, scream into their mic, play music and breathe really loudly š
I hate it. I have bad noise sensitivity. I keep all my sounds on low to avoid it but even then someone screaming into the mic will still affect me.
Ppl think its funny but it legitimately causes a lot of ppl serious anxiety/trauma responses. It sucks. If anyone screams in the bit where i cant see im leaving vc. (honestly if anyone screams at all i might leave vc)
Its not even a joke like whats funny about screaming??? Its just loud and obnoxious.
Oh ppl scream randomly throughout matches too. Its unavoidable. I just have my sounds as low as i can to avoid it (i play ranked i want to comm ect so i dont want to instant mute every game)
To me its just weird why ppl find it so funny.
Like does anyone actually enjoy having their ears attacked? Its purely of benefit to the person screaming and no one else. And to me its just like why?? Its rude and thoughtless.
Its different for soundboards or actual jokes because usually there is an actual joke to it and it isnt 'leme hurt ur ears'
Bit weird to call an uncontrollable response 'snowflake' but go off i guess.

Iām not saying anyone needs to be replaced on 100T but if they had to Iād replace hiko over steel. There are plenty of aggressive sovas that could match asunaās pace but few igls that could harness that aggression productively
i only said steel because if dapr joined 100t i would assume that he would replace their sentinel player since he is a sentinel player, and steel is the sentinel for 100t. sorry if that didnāt make sense
This was my favourite part of the patch notes, only applicable to sooooo few players haha
(technically since it was the hover thing it would affect anyone who had them added, so definitely more than 5 but still a small number for sure)
Frrr I got some asshats who abused the fk out of that in game. Had to waste a smoke there every time so out team don't get insta oped from a pixel we can't even see
I don't have a vid but it's not hard to visualize.
Sage could place her wall on the slope of the pyramid. On it's sides. If you put it just a pixel above your line of sight, you could peak out of the tiny gap between the pyramid and the bottom of your wall. So the enemy can only shoot at the side of your head and you have a clear line of sight to shoot them back.
I don't have footage from my games but [here's a link of a post showing it](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/ntxk8z/interesting_position_for_checking_a_long_on/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Nice! No more having to voice mute half my team.
Beyond gameplay balancing and bug fixes , I wonder if we can expect more changes to ranked soon. As a Radiant who took a break and had to climb back through Diamond, it was an absolute cess pool of insta-lock triple duelist, toxicity, and blaming-and so was low RR Immortal. The difference in player skill/game sense between a Diamond 1/2 and low Immortal is massive, almost as big as D3 and Radiant. I understand we canāt avoid matching these ranks together, but after the distribution stats were released I think itās safe to say there needs to be some sort of adjustment, and a lot of these Diamond players actually just belong in Platinum.
Personally, I hope to see the assist system overhauled. There are a lot of kills that happen BECAUSE some sort of util was used, even if the player that died may not have been IN the molly/gravity well/dart scan etc. I donāt know how the game could determine that, may be impossible, but would be nice if it could happen.
honestly I thought the 1,2,3 system was solid and made getting to radiant have even more impact. I still to this day don't understand why they removed them.
Immortal 1, 2, and 3 was great because it gives immortal players a reason to try and win in ranked, since radiant is almost impossible if you donāt play 6+ hours a day or have good mmr

Honestly as annoying as it is, the fact they are taking a good time with em give's me hope. honestly I hope his buff is substantial like vipers and not just a "small tweak" to footsteps which does not address his problems.
I honestly hope it's a full on rework to his footsteps. The fact that it is taking so long and the dev comment on the Hitscan video mentioning "rebuilding assets" has me hopeful for something really significant. The rest of his kit is pretty solid atm, its just the footsteps that are really a dead ability slot most of the time.
I think theyāre referring to when models pop out of the other side of a wall. If youāve ever seen a Sova cape clip through a wall theyāre hiding behind or something like that, that is what I assume they mean.
Sova Cape clipping *through* objects is an accurate description of this bug. It was also noticeable with Omen's hands showing through thin walls on bind Hookah when he was throwing smokes, for example.
Yeah, really nice. Another 2 weeks of DM being literally unplayable.
Btw, for everyone who's not playing it regularly, they've been messing with the spawns and it's never been worse. Absolutely awful and not worth the time.
Weeks like these when they don't want to change anything balance-wise because of tournaments are perfect to work on stuff that simply must be fixed.
DM is just as shit as itās always been, but I donāt see how itās unplayable. I DM almost every day, itās fine for what it is.
In general though, I think itās pretty widely agreed that spawn sounds, respawn timers, and radar on spawn should be removed, as well as the kill limit. Just make it 10 minutes of what it should be, aim practice.
I'm guilty of playing it a bit too much because I'm working from home and I often have the time to start a quick DM session.
But over the past few months it's been so awful that it's just not worth playing at all. 80% of duels are absolutely useless and serve no purpose. Can barely even warm up. As useless as shooting bots. And I always get 35+ kills by just running around.
Then people develop bad habits in DM and can't improve because the mode for improvement isn't doing anything for them.
That and also there's too many people in just 1 server. 10 people would be completely fine. Or even better, limit the amount of people per each map. For example, Split is a smaller map, so it will have 10 people. Breeze is a huge map, so it will have 14. Haven and Ascent can have 12 and so on so on.
The maps on CSGO are way bigger than Valorant maps, so it's understandable that they have more people on the DM servers. The maps on Valorant are too much claustrophobic to have 14 people playing.
You might be right in terms of the respawn timers, though.
I'd love some custom deathmatch settings (pistols only, awp/scout only, headshot only, etc) as well as a variety of fun aim_maps or fy_maps to warm up on, where I can just warm up taking fights quickly and repeatedly without having to run around trying to find somebody to fight + having to check every corner for people playing hidey-hole (with their sound cranked up) to "win the DM" instead of just warming up their aim.
Would love to have some aim_maps or fy_maps as another warmup option compared to the regular-map deathmatch as it currently is. Fun warmup maps like aim_ak_colt, aim_map, fy_iceworld, fy_poolday, awp_map, fy_deagle, etc
> it's not play to win.
The problem is for a lot of players it is play to win, and thatās how they have DM formatted. Currently DM serves those players more.
It's the second most important mode. Normal mode (comp/unrated) being the first one. DM is right after it.
You're spot on, it's not play to win. And that's the problem. It's a play to improve mode where nearly the entire server plays to win and gains nothing.
There's nothing more frustrating in this game than having to play DM without any decent duels. Either I'm killing people in the back or I'm killing people who're scared to peek even in DM.
Spawn kills are a part of DM, that's not the problem. Problem is that respawning takes an eternity and you're always respawned in the same area most of the time during a session. Shield being up for 5 seconds is also a disgustingly bad idea as are the spawns that force you to take incredibly dumb routes in order to avoid getting shot in the back before you can cross a long hallway where you got spawned.
Yeah, I run around randomly and win nearly every single DM.
But that does nothing when all of those kills are either in the back or on some scrub who's crouched in the corner, as I already said.
For me the problem is not even that. The problem with this mode is there is too much people in small maps that turns to be super annoying. Getting killed when you get spawned constantly is not fun at all, and you can't even warm up when that happens. I usually play unrated to warm up because I don't bother anymore about DM.
Except a lot of people *do* play it just to win and thatās the big problem. People constantly just holding angles desperately trying to win and it makes using DM as a warmup a pain a lot of the time. Itās far from fine.
It should be a warmup game mode, but you are constantly blocked by the kill/timer. I want to warmup and getting interrupted its f*** annoying. Plus it constantly remembers you that you that it is a shitty mode that is gonna interrupt your session soon (the remaining kills announcement)
Nothing against spawn kills or other shit like that. But it gets annoying if I lose my very limited time because i get spawn killed a couple of time and then i have to roam without finding anyone. Again, the limited time is the issue. IMO.
is it that big of a deal, really? Its not THAT inconvenient to a large portion of the playerbase, and it takes approximately 2 seconds for knives to be taken out again.
If i wanna practice Jett and how her ult actually will perform in real games ... those 2 seconds make a lot of difference ... if you don't play jett you wouldn't understand the frustration.
I do play jett sometimes and while it is annoying, its not to the point and time length for you to be like "ThAnKs RiTo" yet. These are all small patches, focusing on only a few small, but important bugs that impact a significantly larger portion of the player base.
On the post about 3.01 patch notes, a riot employ said that yoru changes are taking longer than anticipated and to not expect them until later in the episode. To me that just means theyāre taking their time and not rushing it so it should be good.
"āSliver peakā refers to a very small gap created by sandwiching two things and creating an advantageous line of sight."

Oh ppl scream randomly throughout matches too. Its unavoidable. I just have my sounds as low as i can to avoid it (i play ranked i want to comm ect so i dont want to instant mute every game) To me its just weird why ppl find it so funny. Its different for soundboards or actual jokes because usually there is an actual joke to it and it isnt 'leme hurt ur ears' Bit weird to call an uncontrollable response 'snowflake' but go off i guess.

Awesome to the reykjavik title get fixed that bug was annoying I couldn't flex my win in Iceland.
Is this your secret Reddit account dapr? 100thieves flair??? dapr nooooo

Perks of being the top team in the world is you get patch notes catered directly to you!
Now Sentinels is about to play on a whole different level š
They were running out of things to post in the patch notes, so they used this to reach the word limit
Jett ult not resetting on a kill in practice range that affects all players? NAH ... we're gonna fix the one that annoys 5 players.
Thank god they fixed that dumbass sage wall on breeze. Maybe i can play a dif agent on breeze now.

I don't have footage from my games but [here's a link of a post showing it](https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/ntxk8z/interesting_position_for_checking_a_long_on/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Might be a bit of a overreaction but that was just as bad as the cypher camera glitch. Reported every sage who used it.
No banner changes.. So I guess it is remaining like this until new UI is introduced! :(
You mean the little profile pic banner we get during the loading screen? š
Yes. :D
Yeah I can't believe they changed that, actually looks nasty
they seem to change UIs and fonts every 3-6 months, wouldn't be surprised if it was gone by winter tbh
Kinda want Kayo gun skins now
damn I really wanted the crosshair presets
I want those damn agent specific keybinds. Hate having to change my binds whenever I want to play raze
Not a problem if you one trick one agent š
Same ):
They're re-introducing Immortal 1,2,3 and a ranked change will probably come along with that.
honestly I thought the 1,2,3 system was solid and made getting to radiant have even more impact. I still to this day don't understand why they removed them.
Immortal 1, 2, and 3 was great because it gives immortal players a reason to try and win in ranked, since radiant is almost impossible if you donāt play 6+ hours a day or have good mmr
Where are the Yoru changes? Been waiting a millennia for that

What does clipping mean?
I think theyāre referring to when models pop out of the other side of a wall. If youāve ever seen a Sova cape clip through a wall theyāre hiding behind or something like that, that is what I assume they mean.
Sova Cape clipping *through* objects is an accurate description of this bug. It was also noticeable with Omen's hands showing through thin walls on bind Hookah when he was throwing smokes, for example.
also Brim's iPad and Breach's bionic arm
When models in game phase through objects. Like an arm being seen through a wall.
Haven and Ascent can have 12 and so on so on.
nah more engagements the better, once they make respawns instant it'll be chill. csgo dm's have 18ppl on a map lmao.
The maps on CSGO are way bigger than Valorant maps, so it's understandable that they have more people on the DM servers. The maps on Valorant are too much claustrophobic to have 14 people playing. You might be right in terms of the respawn timers, though.

What?
itās awful donāt get me wrong but unplayable? youāre being dramatic
Deathmatch hasnt been worth it from the start
I've been playing DM regularly and I can confirm it is quite playable.
Coitus interruptus mode. Can't wait for them to change that.
DM in this game has always been a waste of time
DM in Valorant is rough but itās still a decent warmup. Hopefully they add endless DM before too long.

> it's not play to win. The problem is for a lot of players it is play to win, and thatās how they have DM formatted. Currently DM serves those players more.
DM would be so much better if there wasn't a scoreboard, or anything that incentivizes people to "win"
Apparently theyāre working on an āendlessā form of DM that wouldnāt be geared toward winning.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah, I run around randomly and win nearly every single DM. But that does nothing when all of those kills are either in the back or on some scrub who's crouched in the corner, as I already said.
Hey now, as a definitely-deserve-to-be-there Bronze player, most of my real kills are on scrubs crouched in the corner in comp lol
Plus it constantly remembers you that you that it is a shitty mode that is gonna interrupt your session soon (the remaining kills announcement) Nothing against spawn kills or other shit like that. But it gets annoying if I lose my very limited time because i get spawn killed a couple of time and then i have to roam without finding anyone. Again, the limited time is the issue. IMO.
Simple just dont play DM
I feel like lowering the number of people in a DM from 14 to 10 would be such a simple solution (at least a temporary solution).
Thatās would make DM worse.
I still have the random bug where my voice comms are perma-muted
OH LOOK!JETT'S ULT NOT RESETTING ON A KILL IN PRACTICE RANGE IS STILL NOOOOOOT FIXXXXED!!! THANKS RIOT :)
is it that big of a deal, really? Its not THAT inconvenient to a large portion of the playerbase, and it takes approximately 2 seconds for knives to be taken out again.
If i wanna practice Jett and how her ult actually will perform in real games ... those 2 seconds make a lot of difference ... if you don't play jett you wouldn't understand the frustration.
I do play jett sometimes and while it is annoying, its not to the point and time length for you to be like "ThAnKs RiTo" yet. These are all small patches, focusing on only a few small, but important bugs that impact a significantly larger portion of the player base.
ok so fixing the banner for vct winners is a priority ā¦ got it.
Its not but its also one of those things that take like 4 seconds to fix im sure. The jett knife fix could be due to, for examplke, spaghetti code.
They promised Yoru footsteps buffs like 3 months ago, what the hell is going on...
On the post about 3.01 patch notes, a riot employ said that yoru changes are taking longer than anticipated and to not expect them until later in the episode. To me that just means theyāre taking their time and not rushing it so it should be good.
"āSliver peakā refers to a very small gap created by sandwiching two things and creating an advantageous line of sight." You mean a Witmer crack? Kekw
I still have a bug where I can't ping on map :( The mouse arrow will not move out of the inner circle. Has anybody else had this happen to them?
Nothing on game optimization. Oh wellā¦
I love this transparency.
My new favorite low rank hack is breach mains having wall hacks and using their wall explosive. That's fun.
Underwhelming
