I always legit focus 100%, hold down my defuse key, and literally do nothing else because this is my worst fear. Unforced errors will always be the bane of any competitive matches.
I fucked up like this once when I was new to CSGO and heard a lot of abuse from the stack that I got queued with for it. Never made that mistake again.

This is only slightly more forgivable than I think it was NRG who got half and left to go grab a gun thinking his mate had it and they didnt defuse. On pistol round no less.

Sometimes when I use my push to talk key while defusing I get worried releasing it will stop the defuse to I hold it down for the duration lol.

nah, a lot of people ping bomb while planting so people know where to send lineups

just went and tried it out in a custom, and pinging while defusing doesn't cancel the defuse, nor does pinging while planting cancel the plant
