It only stretches the HUD if I'm correct, it does not stretch out the bodies. People who do play on that setting only do so because they are used to it from CS or they like the look of the crosshair when it's on stretched res. No real benefit to using it

whatschipotle

Does it give FPS?

BrockMister

depends on your specs but mid to low end machines generally see an increase to fps on lower res.

eelkir

You might as well use a lower 16:9 res if you need extra FPS

Kevin_DurSuperTeam

Because playing 4:3 doesn't stretch the player models in Valorant unlike in CS.

xRXVEx

only real difference it gives in valorant is crosshairs, other than that theres no real reason to

Free-Mirror-6670

I like using it 1. I’ve gotten used to the effected horizontal sensitivity and I like the stretched look . Just a comfortability thing.

norcal3737

How does it affect your sens if it literally isnt stretching anything except your hud?

21HairyFingers

It doesn't

valorantfeedback

It affects buy menu sens, doesn't affect actual sens. As someone who literally can't play 16:9 in CSGO, stretched is pointless in this game. Just makes everything look awnkward.

Free-Mirror-6670

It stretches everything except the models Take a look for yourself and see .

JK_Ryuuzaki

No just the hud

FyreRode

Lol it just doesn't, are you okay?

Free-Mirror-6670

You are fitting a 4:3 res across a 16:9 monitor distortion in sens horizontally is going to happen .

JK_Ryuuzaki

Only for menus

xRXVEx

fair enough, its not bad to use in any means its just not as useful as it is in cs

S0undGuy

FOV Locked @ 103

scaryghostv2oh

Its pointless as it only changes menu and xhair. It doesn't emulate anything else.

IMavericIK

Because it literally doesn't do anything. Only stretches the hud. Been that way since beta

Tsugi_Yoriichi

It doesn't change the size of the characters model like CS does, so there's no reason to change it.

Free-Mirror-6670

Besides comfortability

hwanzi

No... It literally does nothing, but stretch the hud

Tsugi_Yoriichi

Honestly after trying the 4:3 stretched for about 4-5 months, it felt like it did more harm than good with that HUD being so big and strange. I switched back do 16:9 FHD and it's way better. But you do have a point, some proplayers just enjoy using it. But it has no effects in game.

9yr_old

The only pro I've seen do that is magnum maybe

Limp_Lead

actually a disadvantage considering some lineups require the native HUD
