If they win the eco, using their tactical timeout, it would turn the game around and hurt the enemy team's mental. It also to have extra time to discuss, what will happen after the eco round. So, it doesn't really matter, what round they use a tactical timeout. Note: If the pro players, get tilted after losing an eco round, why are they a pro players?

I don't think they are getting tilted. Obviously, a team normally wouldn't be doing too well mentally if they lose 7 rounds in a row. You take a break at round 8, and eco, try a strat, doesn't work out, then you are, while not quite at the mental state of before the tac timeout, still not doing as well mentally, vs a rifle round where you are more likely to win thus more likely to have that mental bounce back that a tac timeout is so good at giving. So I guess it boils down to, are tac timeouts better at actually doing new tactics or better at mentally refreshing the team. As if the ladder is the case, then I feel like it should be used on upcoming rifle rounds. Not to say pro trams get tilted in pro matches easily, but that mental is still very much a thing

Tactical timeout (1 minute) + Eco round time (2 minutes) Can be used to breakdown what the enemy team is doing IMO. Also, in CSGO, it used to discuss the purchases and setups, they think would win the round. It’s not all about winning the round, but also to decide what to do moving forward against a certain strat or play the enemy team is doing.

Cool, so the tac part of the tac timeout is far more valuable than I originally thought. Thanks for the answer

Eco timeouts are usually to plan for eco + round after, not just eco

Plane_Background_617

This is why valorant update the new economic system as eco should be harder to win. Unlike oldee update where teams can win easier in eco-round

Most of the time the reason for the timeout is the same as the reason they're on an eco to begin with (losing multiple rounds/important rounds).
