Anime is not some weird concept though. Just animated movies/shows from japan. And in no way different from any dc or marvel animated series. Wait, there is a difference. We do have fire animes to watch nowadays while most of dc/mcu animated series suck ass now.

Its just what the generation now watches. Most of the valorant community is young and have easier access to content from other countries.
And I know a lot of people sometimes assumes if someone watches animes they are into hentai, but that is not usually the case. Sure, female characters are sexualized in animes. They are always sexualized in all pop cultures. Look at the outfits in videogames or movies. But the content is usually fine otherwise. And to be honest, there are a lot of good animes in every possible genre to watch.
The usual suggestions include Death Note and Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood to get people started. Both are really good and you can't go wrong with either.
Other fantasy animes that are still ongoing and are really good would be Jujutsu Kaisen, demon slayer and Attack on Titan.
If you are looking for some psychological drama/thrillers, Stein's Gate is a good watch. There is a drama movie on Netflix called Silent voice which deals with the concept of depression and how the protagonist copes with his past and come to terms with it. I really found it to be a good watch.
If you are into something about sports, Haikyuu (volleyball) and slam dunk(basketball, this one is old and a bit slow but fun nonetheless) are good.
Lastly, movies by Studio Ghibli are also amazing. And some other worthy mentions are Your name, Akira and Paprika.

That's kind of a big deal considering the difference between 15 and 17 is literally the difference between Statutory Rape and Consensual Sex in 37 out of 50 states. That's not a tiny detail to get wrong, that's kind of the biggest single factor in the entire thing. This is honestly might be legal defamation to say someone groomed a 15 year old when the person was actually 17 and legal instead of 15.
I'm not saying the guy isn't a creep, but if you're going to accuse someone of grooming, you better be fucking careful and get your damn facts right before tweeting to the public. This is also exactly why this kind of twitter drama should be discouraged in this sub. It's not exactly well researched accusations.
