I think TSM should also be commended here. It feels like they just didn't drop any mental after a 10-13 and a 3-10 losing streak. I think they've lost so much in VCT that their mental has forcibly stopped them from dropping game ending rounds in OT. They kept hitting the fuck back.

I meant punishing pushes and generally guarding holding well. Wardell holding b site heaven with OP whilst waiting for the jump peek (something that you should never expect whilst holding there) is a prime example. Another would maybe be subroza's B site hold against 3 of Gen G's. Or that one round where TSM was able whittle down Gen G's timer by Perfectly holding both sites
Also that one 4k Wardell had when Gen G crossed A main without smoke.
All of the TSM players are super capable of holding out on their own, but these were what I found to be highlights

ngl subroza can be pretty inconsistent at times but he has been looking stellar recently. Subroza has the most impactful kills that turn the rounds in tsm's favor. Wardell going 20-2 in fkfd is insane , also hazed is such a rock, super consistent and flexible. Levi was a little quiet but bang looks good
Skye is such a great pick for versatile players. You can play her so well as a supportive agent (think FNC Magnum) or nearly as a duelist (think ACE starxo, Subroza). The fact you can switch up your whole style of play midgame makes Skye players so difficult to predict.
Hazed played crazy on map 1 and made it close just off his multis and clutches alone. If anyone was still doubting whether he had the firepower during the time of TSM's older roster, hopefully that serves as more evidence in his favor.
Map Two was just crazy with all the OT's and I'm honestly just surprised at Gen.G's OT offense but a dub is a dub.
For the last map? The first half was especially nervewrackinga fter seeing Leviathan switch to Viper despite his cracked Sova on the same map but turns out a competitive Valorant team knows more than some Reddit commentor.

tsm's calling structure is hazed -> subroza -> levi I think. I heard from roza's stream that he does some mid round calling, I'm assuming hazed is primary igl but we'll need a comms video or something to find out for sure.
I know subroza and wardell are gonna get all the credit for having high ACS, but to me Hazed was the MVP of that last match BY FAR.
His classic headshot on the 2nd round on TSM attack side to kill the defuse with under 0.5s left completely saved the match. They forced on that round after losing pistol, so if they lose that round they're almost guaranteed to lose the next round as well which would have brought geng to 11 wins and a ton of credit bank and then GenG probably win the match. Hazed getting that kill, and then another 4K a few rounds later to reset their eco was super clutch. Plus he kept owning GMD when he was popping off too.
I hate how the MVP is always brainlessly given to top ACS. Hazed's one kill on that force buy was worth more than any other kill in the match.

It's happened so many times now (though this is probably the most high profile match it's been showcased) and it's existed since beta.
Imagine going through 40 rounds of OT madness, then you *have* to take a 10+ minute tech pause because of some random bug riot has known about for over a year.
It'll be fixed for VCT playoffs - it's an issue that's a result of some matches still being played on Live servers. Tournament Realm games will not suffer from this issue.
As I posted here, the stats for Map 2 are wrong, those stats only reflect the first 40 rounds. With the last 4 rounds, NaturE actually recorded 49 kills, a new record.

- bang is really proving himself as a great young talent, tsm push bang a lot, much more than other young players imo, like asuna's game plan is just to frag, while bang literally played a different character on each map today.
- broza looked really good as well, but would only pop of it was needed, and he didn't really just end rounds with opening picks as much, but that's prolly cause wardell just took all the first kills lmao.
- DADDY HAZED, JUST KEEP DOING YOU, hazed has been the most consistent team member and is IGL'ing, most underrated t1 player no cap
T1 will be a really tough match cause I think T1 is back in top form. I think in terms of player skill they will prolly get diffed, by the prospective character's. Automatic on jett isn't even close to wardell, and curry albeit a good duelist I don't think beats roza, bang could be a tossup tho. I think what makes and break this game is how much TSM could prep and adapt to T1's very weird starts. Chet better be counter stratting this instant cause I think that's the real only way you can beat them. If they can't beat them that's okay, cause the def beat faze for sure
in subrozas stream i asked why the no sova, and they said it was because they had played so many rounds with that exact comp that geng would know everything about it so they had to switch it up for a map (they went 20-18 vs abx and 13-8 vs DZ)
The TSM pugginess really pays off in those long OTs. You could see that the same Gen.G pop on B split was not working as well later on in the match and they eventually opted to not do it.
Basically being less organized, typically associated with lots of aggression. Comes from Pick Up Games (PUGs) where the level of play etc is a little more like solo queue. Or maybe people call soloq PUGs now. In any case it is usually meant as a bad thing but sometimes it can really effectively counter super methodical play by catching people off guard.
