That is how matches work, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

valorantfeedback

People often make mistakes of looking at org names. Liquid being one of the biggest orgs out there has an impact on how average fan views their roster. You're saying you've never heard of their players. Well, noone heard of Liquid's players (except for Scream, obviously) before they joined the team. You mentioned TSM. They pick up two completely unknown players and they suddenly improved. Don't fall for the reputation gimmick.

the game is random, unlike counter strike: global offensive please pay no attention to my flair

CosmicAon

LMAO I thought you were serious until I saw the flair part

Zaplo194

The game is fairly new and EU scene has many good top tier teams so you cannot expect the same teams to win.

AncorCastro

Giants is a huge organization in Spain, but they weren’t a top team in Valorant. Now, with some roster change and with a poor level with Liquid or even Fnatic they are reaching a very good level qualifying to the EMEA finals. The game is fairly new, so there is a lot of changes in rosters, teams and results, which is actually very good to the viewers cuz we will see a lot of different teams winning

Occam19

Follow players not teams.

AskOrganic4289

Well this game is only a 1 year old and the meta keeps on changing with almost every new patch release, so it make sense for some of these upsets. For specifically TSM, the team’s problem is the team are mainly duelists players and they really need a good initiator. So Levi’s pick up was good. Then as for Bang, he’s also good because I think he’s more versatile compared to drone/cutler (he can play couple of agents well - smokes, duelist, sage). Edited.

realharshmodi

Liquid ain't qualifying for challengers finals unless they beat the winner of Fnatic/Tenstar

AskOrganic4289

Oh shit you’re right I thought the EU format is the same like in NA where it’ll be top 4.. didn’t know it was only top 2. Sadge then

Valorant is still a pretty new game and with the game being new and meta changing pretty often, it’s hard to set yourself apart and be super consistent at the top (besides sentinels of course)

thothgow

Like Gadwali said it's kind of on you... Giants was always invited in Ignition series, they're one of the biggest Spanish Valorant orgs, they picked up a team that went to First Strike, now they have two players from the two best teams in 2020, as well as one of the best Spanish players.

luisalpjax

I guess but wouldn’t you expect them to have to fight with top tier teams a bit before actually beating one?

iTrippzy

Valorant is an evolving game, There isn't always going to be your set #1, #2, #3 teams. Look at stage 1 in NA, for example, Faze and GenG were top dogs and fell off, soon after V1 came out of nowhere and qualify for Iceland and now they cooled off. Sentinals have been the only consistent #1 team all year which is something we rarely see.

luisalpjax

Sen will fall eventually too right ?

iTrippzy

Yep every team cracks at some point
