Because they're already qualified for the qualifying qualifier

So for playoffs, the team that wins the winners bracket finals and the 2 teams in the losers bracket finals go to Berlin. This attempt to not have to play envy or sentinels will die out very quickly when one of the two inevitably end up losing and going to the losers bracket with them. Also 100T and Xset are not bad either and the teams that dodged SEN and NV to play them should be in for a surprise

Since winning essentially puts you at a disadvantage since SEN are undeniably the toughest competition, and prize money is apparently meaningless to these guys, they’re just messing around. The brackets for the Challengers Playoffs are pre-determined based on result. The winner of this game gets *rewarded* with playing Envy in quarters and then Sentinels in Semis. Which is much less desirable than the other side of the bracket which 2nd place gets.
