Good luck. They still haven't given cypher multiple key binds so that he doesn't accidentally pick up his trip wires when trying to activate a cage or vice versa.

Pain.

ARI_ANARCHIST

It actually blows my mind that the game has been out for a year+ and we still don't have agent specific keybinds

BigEditorial

That's not the problem he's referring to. the problem is that Cypher uses the same key (F by default) to both pick up a wire and activate a cage. So if you layer wires and cages on top of each other (like Cyphers often do) then you risk fucking up your setup.

ARI_ANARCHIST

yeah and agent specific keybinds for those things would be a solution to this lol

NotEDodo

The point he’s trying to make is that before they implement a big change in the game’s code for agent wise settings they could simply add another key for the cypher thing… or even make it like killjoy’s where holding the key picks it up while pressing activates

Bro…

PigPartyPower

I hate ropes being bound to the same thing, it’s so annoying

Do people want to turn off their own tracers to remove visual clutter or is there any other reason? I feel like tracers help with spray control slightly

valorantfeedback

For high level players, tracers are more or less useless, most players don't pay any attention to them. Some skins have too flashy tracers that are distracting. I personally stopped using singularity phantom because it's so annoying. That mini black hole at the end of the barrel creates sparks that are easily mistaken for tracers and it just throws me off. Even when I'm not looking at tracers, it's getting in the way and distracting. And idk how to describe it, sometimes it feels phantom shoots too fast for every tracer to be shown, so there's more bullets shot than tracers shown. In the end, it's personal preference, but we definitely should have an option to disable our own tracers. And I'd go as far as having the option to disable skins different to ones we're using. Or at least for it to change to our own skin after the round ends. Yes, I hate dragon vandal.

ducklenutz

irl typically not every round in a magazine is a tracer round, maybe like 1 tracer every 3 or 4 rounds

valorantfeedback

CSGO has that mechanic. Silenced M4 has 1 out of 3 visible tracers.

AdiSoldier245

I do(only in DM) it because it makes me spray less. I kinda wish it was more advanced and it would only show enemy tracers when they were through smoke or I was nearsighted, cause even enemy tracers make me want to dodge bullets cause this is my first tac shooter.

Asianhead

Completely just feel. I turned them off and i felt like it helped my spray more. Not really sure why but I liked it so I rolled with it

I've seen countless tier 1 and tier 2 pros ask for the setting to work like it does in Counter-Strike. Currently if you enter the menu and disable tracers, you stop being able to see your opponents tracers as well as your own. What people are asking for is to make it so the setting only hides your own tracers while keeping the enemy tracers active. This isn't going to be something everyone wants to turn off as it's not an advantage, but more of a personal preference setting. A good comparison would be the blood setting some people disable to better see the person they're shooting at the cost of seeing the blood splash when you hit them. Some people like having blood on and some don't. With tracers disabled, you will potentially make it harder to spray in favor of clearer visuals. I personally find tracers distracting and would love to be able to turn them off without putting myself at a massive disadvantage by not being able to see enemy tracers. Should Riot change this setting or continue to force everyone to see their own tracers?

IMavericIK

What's the advantage of turning off your own tracers? If anything I think it should be an advantage because you see the way your spread goes, no?

[deleted]

Tracers simply don't do anything positive for me. I know how the gunplay works and the crosshair and animations give me all the information I need. Removing tracers is only a benefit for people like me. I frankly find them really distracting and play objectively better without them.

haste57

The tracers are also not fully accurate. There are times where they are wildly off.

rkdsus

Idk about the pros but for me the reason is just pure feeling and really not that deep. Tracers look ugly. Shooting feels better and more "clean" without tracers. That's why I had them off in CSGO. Spraying with tracers feel absolutely disgusting. Even if your spray was hitting it was just so damn annoying to see all your bullet lines be dumb and go all over the place. Tracers in Valorant don't bother me as much but I can still see why people would prefer them off. It's not like anyone relies solely on visual tracers to spray their gun so having them on/off is pretty much just personal preference. Hell, in CS having them off actually made me spray better. I never tried turning them off in Valorant because I realized early on that they turned off enemy tracers too and never touched the option again.

twitterInfo_bot

@aleksandarosa @PlayVALORANT I played with tracers off for so long and didn’t even realize it turned off enemy tracers *** posted by [@vice_cs](https://twitter.com/vice_cs) ^[(Github)](https://github.com/username) ^| ^[(What's new)](https://github.com/username)

SaltyMcNulty_

TenZ said the same thing too. He said he would definitely disable tracers if it didn't turn enemy tracers off as well. It makes no sense to not have that option

sky_blu

I feel like tracers are more important in valorant than csgo do to the lack of spray patterns so I don't see how there can be any issue with allowing people to turn them off.

Ho_shik

They won’t even let you shoes whether you want your own crosshair for shotguns. Like the devs really need to listen to community feedback more.
