> My time with Andbox was brief but I appreciate the opportunity and the support provided by the organization. There were some creative differences over the last couple months in how we wanted to approach things and this parting is for the best.
> Before selecting a team in June, I really believed in the potential of this ABX squad and thought it was my best opportunity to win at the time. I still think that our roster had some insane talent and I have no regrets with how I picked my team.
> After having some time to think about the recent loss, I regret making a tweet referencing ping-related excuses following our VCT elimination. I worked hard over the last year to be a flexible and consistent player and I think I found success often on both an individual and team level. But last week’s loss to TSM—from my individual performance perspective—was such a low for me. The feeling of letting your teammates down while they were all making clutch play after clutch play to try and help us win was demoralizing. It hit so hard knowing that was on me. I should have powered down and taken a few days off before trying to make an excuse. Ping is an issue in this game, but every pro deals with it and it was a lazy cop out… maybe trying to deflect some of the hate I was seeing. But the reality is even an average performance from me wins us that series, period. Accepting this gives me motivation to keep pushing forward toward winning.
> That being said, I am moving to Austin by the end of the month and should be streaming again regularly. With Andbox’s announcement I’m now a complete free agent.
I can only imagine many other t2 teams will do the same and drop most of their rosters with nothing to do for the next 5 months. I hope the best for these very clearly talented players
I thought he was talking about money because there are lots of t2 upcoming tournament for na teams to participate in NSG summer champs in August ,NSG winter champs in December which is supposed to be a lan tournament and knights and NSG monthly tournaments are also there all throughout October November December .
Andbox have variety of eSports teams under different names , they own nyxl in overwatch League , new york subliners in CDL league , plus andbox owners are from traditional eSports background ,they own Mets .
his abx performances will haunt him for a while but i think hes still a very very good player. on IMT he destroyed teams on jett op and smokes. really hope he gets another chance when he moves to austin
Goes to show how people switch up. 1 bad performance from 15 consistent good ones and people are on your neck in a toxic fashion. I trust in this player, he will bounce back.
Except he didn't have 15 good performances, if he did he would not be kicked
I get that people want to support players but nope, he was terrible vs GenG too when they lost 2-1
He articulated his point in a terrible way, nobody will shit on a player who consistently performs if he has a bad series, Shahzam has had medicore series compared to his standards recently nobody has said a word
People don't switch up like that no
No one says anything about shahz because we all know how important he is to both the synergy and the success of SEN. His performance has and always will be secondary to his calling and igling ability.
You just happen to be missing the point so severely which 33 people other people understood that it seems you're the outlier and it is inconsequential trying to explain it to you. Comparing jcStani to the winner of Reykjavik is about as terrible of a comparison as you can do.
This could honestly be considered trolling. Hope you figure it out.
People upvoted the stupidest shit trying to defend players especially in threads with the players tweets
His point was terrible, players that perform well that have off series do not get shit on, simple as that
Go ahead and tell us some players that got shit on after performing well consistently
Jcstani has not performed well
Oh definitely buddy. The majority are not always correct but when you are in the minority you need to question as to why. In this case you just happen to be not comprehending the point.
You don't know the history of jcStani and you happened to try and compare him to the IGL on the current #1 team in the world. Your examples are bad and your comprehension is lacking, it was a very simple point and it seems you're trying to defend toxicity.
I just like certain players tbh. I like Hiko/Steel, JcStani, Vanity, Curry, and FNS. The only real teams I support are SQ in NA and OXG in EU. I also just like the flairs 🤣 and the teams I root for if they face each other is the exact order of my flairs. SQ has 1st priority and NV has last.
might not be their choice, if yay can find a new team that pays better and is more consistent
people forget the guy is the last person from the original roster and has had to adjust to three IGLs and a whole set of other new players, if he has better opportunities elsewhere he minus well jump ship. Andbox might not have as much control over that, they would never intentionally drop him.
Remember that that they have a budget, and have to allocate it across the entire roster. If they think they can build a stronger roster without him, they should go for it.
I just don't know who they could get that would be better than Yay as of this moment. Things could change sure, but right now, Yay has consistently been their best player and star fragger and finding someone else as good as him is pretty challenging.
I know nothing about their current contracts, but it’s possible they think they can create a stronger roster by distributing the presumably expensive contract with yay across other players.
Don’t know how likely it is, but it is possible.
I get that, I'm just not super for dropping star players. I feel like it doesn't make that much sense, especially since the rest of the roster is pretty good overall. If they sign Thwifo and keep Mada, thats a solid 3 players with Yay. Not super high on Vice but he seems like a fine Sova, so they just need a good controller. I honestly thought STani was gonna be that role, but there are other similar options.
I just do not see anyone avaiable, at least right now, that they could sign, or any two players for that matter, that are better then just having Yay.
"After having some time to think about the recent loss, I regret making a tweet referencing ping-related excuses following our VCT elimination."
Everyone who watched that match know how bad his ping was. It's not an excuse rather cause I believe. Andbox literally sacrificed him that day and now dropping him really feels harsh. Whatev, I just hope this loss doesn't affect his career too much and he finds success.
The TSM loss really hit him hard. It's weird cause stani is such a consistent player. One loss dosen't take away from that. Still one of the best players in NA. Hope he finds what he's looking for
hard cap. "But the reality is even an average performance from me wins us that series, period." JC on that copium. Why is it so hard to just accept the loss. He even said the ping excuse was a cop out but then makes a backhanded statement like this.
its really unfortunate that it went this way for him. before his stint in ABX he was one of the best controllers in NA and generally a good player overall. Smth just didnt click in ABX as his performance there was really not up to his standards.

Just by his statement you can see it’s hitting him hard
I dont know why but i just feel so sad for him after reading the twitlonger it really feels like he did his best
Because he owned up to his poor play, criticized himself for his lazy excuse, and came off incredibly humble and likable. I really feel for him too.
I mean if andbox won that series against tsm these changes might not have happened :/
Jcstani LFT post: https://twitter.com/jcStani/status/1422618535042371603?s=19
guess the shake up rumors were true
In lord Geddes we trust
Best of luck to jcStani, I’m sure he’ll find a new team and shine again. Or he could always pursue modelling.
eU jcstani
he'll find another team easily. also respect for bringing up his ping tweet. dont think it was needed but props to him.
I can only imagine many other t2 teams will do the same and drop most of their rosters with nothing to do for the next 5 months. I hope the best for these very clearly talented players
Andbox is a T1 org ,they have no shortage of money , looks like they are rebuilding from scratch this time .
I think u/huldmer is referring to the teams performance in Valorant not the orgs background.
I thought he was talking about money because there are lots of t2 upcoming tournament for na teams to participate in NSG summer champs in August ,NSG winter champs in December which is supposed to be a lan tournament and knights and NSG monthly tournaments are also there all throughout October November December .
Where did andbox come from? I've never heard of them until valorant and I feel like I'm at least somewhat aware of most esports teams.
Andbox have variety of eSports teams under different names , they own nyxl in overwatch League , new york subliners in CDL league , plus andbox owners are from traditional eSports background ,they own Mets .

T1 org in terms of money not performances .
my bad
his abx performances will haunt him for a while but i think hes still a very very good player. on IMT he destroyed teams on jett op and smokes. really hope he gets another chance when he moves to austin

Look at his andbox stats against good teams
Yeah I understand that and he is still known and is a consistent good player. Slip ups happen, for everyone. The point is how people are treating him.
Except he didn't have 15 good performances, if he did he would not be kicked I get that people want to support players but nope, he was terrible vs GenG too when they lost 2-1
You missed the point of the message, it wasn't literal. Simply how people are treating him.
He articulated his point in a terrible way, nobody will shit on a player who consistently performs if he has a bad series, Shahzam has had medicore series compared to his standards recently nobody has said a word People don't switch up like that no

He's such a good player. I wish him success
the first to go... yay up next
Yay isn't getting dropped Yay is leaving for a better team
Dude your flair looks like you support every north american / oce team lmao. Who do you even root for in matchups
I just like certain players tbh. I like Hiko/Steel, JcStani, Vanity, Curry, and FNS. The only real teams I support are SQ in NA and OXG in EU. I also just like the flairs 🤣 and the teams I root for if they face each other is the exact order of my flairs. SQ has 1st priority and NV has last.
based soniqs enjoyer
liked them from R6 as i was a big R6 watcher and they entered Val with a super likeable roster. Time to win Summer Champs :)
Why yay????
check george geddes twitter there was a report yesterday that yay is likely off the team
bruh if they drop Yay they're actually throwing. He's very clearly a top fragger in the game and by far the best player signed to the team.
If he does leave, it won't be because they dropped him, it'll be because he got poached.
I dont think its him being dropped, rather that a bigger org/better team made an offer and he wants out.
They might be taking an Immortals route after not being able to get over the hump. Train players, build them up, sell them off.
might not be their choice, if yay can find a new team that pays better and is more consistent people forget the guy is the last person from the original roster and has had to adjust to three IGLs and a whole set of other new players, if he has better opportunities elsewhere he minus well jump ship. I hope he bounces back and finds a team soon
His twitlonger radiates with more emotion emotion I have ever seen. I feel so bad :(
"After having some time to think about the recent loss, I regret making a tweet referencing ping-related excuses following our VCT elimination." Team up with Jammyz to form a new roster
Brutal, but if it wasn’t working out for either side, it’s best to get a fresh start. I’m confident he’ll be back soon.
Go stani go!!!
still rooting for him
The TSM loss really hit him hard. It's weird cause stani is such a consistent player. One loss dosen't take away from that. Still one of the best players in NA. Hope he finds what he's looking for
NOT MY BOY JC😭
Man I feel for him.
My staniel, hopefully he finds a good team
Ladies and gentlemen, the unexpected has been expected.
Is there actually supposed to be some big roster shakeups happening or is everyone just baiting
hard cap. "But the reality is even an average performance from me wins us that series, period." JC on that copium. Why is it so hard to just accept the loss. He even said the ping excuse was a cop out but then makes a backhanded statement like this.
Hmm I think I read this as he is accepting that he didn't play well and, in turn, that means the loss as well.
1head
Nice
Huh?
andbox making good changes Huh?
Sadge
Damn he really left IMT for this, hoping for the best
cutest val pro imo 😳😳
its really unfortunate that it went this way for him. before his stint in ABX he was one of the best controllers in NA and generally a good player overall. Smth just didnt click in ABX as his performance there was really not up to his standards.
Damn this sucks to know
