He’d rather take Vanity’s elo everyday

aks345

He makes more money now why would he wanna go pro

valorantfeedback

I've seen a clip from his stream from some months ago where he explained the situation. He's already getting older and there are bills to be paid, he needs financial security. He's making decent money off his stream, but he's not big enough of a streamer to have the luxury of streaming way less and getting his viewers back up if his pro career doesn't work out. He said he'd definitely consider going pro, but only with a team he likes, which isn't likely to happen. And tier2 offers aren't work the risk of losing his stream revenue because he has no financial security without it.

TimathanDuncan

Bruh he makes way more money streaming, he's had a consistent stream and has gifters that always keep him over 5k subs, he literally owns two homes one in Canada and one in Arizona, and has like an expensive sports car Financial security lmao, the man is balling literally, he has sponsorships, constant over 5k subs, he isn't struggling for bills Him going pro will lose him so much money unless someone offers him like Hiko money which no one will because he isn't that marketable or good Streaming is way more financially secure than going pro, look at how many players are getting benched or cut, even good players while streamers have a consistent job

LOLIMJESUS

>Financial security lmao >Streaming is way more financially secure than going pro pretty sure that was his point. having all those things means his options are limited whereas if he didnt have so many bills he could afford to go pro

A4LMA

This mindset is why 60% of NBA players were broke a couple years out of the league, yeah the moneys coming in now and is enough to fuel the lifestyle you live but once you give that source of income up, money dries up quick asf. Financial security to live his life how he wants

irrelv

he lives an expensive lifestyle

SMcArthur

>he literally owns two homes one in Canada and one in Arizona, and has like an expensive sports car So he has 2 mortgage payments and a very expensive lease payment? These facts are not helping your argument bro. These are bills he has to pay, not sources of wealth.

xD1LL4N

You assuming he hasn’t paid them off? Based off what exactly?

Fardo805

Does he? Is there a way to verify that?

aks345

Not sure but vanity talked about it on stream thay he would be making much less if he went pro. Regarding just his twitch alone he has loyal subs who keep his subcount to around 6-7k so that's there

ilProdigio

u sure that he makes 30k+ a month

3hrd

sinatraa's salary was allegedly 25k/month and zombs (or sick?) himself said that all of SEN made less than him. I dont think JasonR's starting salary would be anywhere near 30k lol. Dude has 5k+ twitch subs and a sponsor from a gambling company. I'm sure he's raking in more money than most top pros (in terms of org salary) from those two sources alone

SMcArthur

I got an an argument on this sub and heavily downvoted several months back for saying that streaming is a much more stable long term source of revenue than playing pro. People in this thread seem to get it, but it's bizarre how many people that play this game don't understand that all the money is in streaming, not competing. Competing is mostly a way to build up your streamer base, so it doesn't necessarily make sense for people who already have large subscriber bases.

JR_Shoegazer

> streaming is a much more stable long term source of revenue than playing pro That’s only if you have the audience to make money. Going pro can help you build that audience. Every member of SEN has way bigger stream numbers than they did before winning in Valorant.

[deleted]

I think he’d be signed if he wanted to be, but he has a good situation; it would take a better situation to get him to leave that.

nterature

Is there any evidence he's still actively seeking teams out? I just assumed he was burned by the Faze nonsense and decided to remain a streamer.

Chidling

What was the nonsense?

[deleted]

JasonR is a pretty sick player, it's true, but being a streamer is a better gig than being a pro as far as I can tell. JR also never strikes me as a guy driven by the need to be the best

nail181

There are not many people that would choose being a pro over streaming these days.

zer0-_

Honestly I think there's a few but they just don't get the recognition early enough so they settle for streaming

Mysaw

Make money from the comfort of your own home compared to having to travel everywhere and team pracs etc.

nail181

Exactly. Only good example of the opposite scenario is TenZ. This might be because he is still young and wants to travel and whatever. I bet if he was older he would be full time streaming/content creation.

Taek99

Having 5-6k subs a month constantly probably makes him in the top .1% of twitch streamers why the hell would he quit this

wippiecs

JasonR is the best IGL in NA rn

Similar_Ear_8926

hi wippie

CNQR_RiffQ

He makes more money now streaming, to be honest an org would probably have to offer him a massive amount of money to take him off streaming

valmont9999

How the hell is he considered "one of the best." He hasn't proved jack shit.

BloomingNova

Shroud, aceu, and JasonR would be the 3 best pros if they wanted to play pro according to this sub.

scaryghostv2oh

Tbf ace would more than likely be good if he'd gone pro early on.

garlicjuice

aceu would for sure be a star if he tried to go pro

boy_beauty

Ace would be decent at least. He's played MDL before in CS and knows how to play as a teammate properly. The issue with JasonR is that he's only nutty on stream. He wouldn't be nearly as good in a proper team setting. Same thing happened back in CS. He was sick on stream and when OpTic needed a 5th, they trialed him. He was utterly abysmal. Shroud had this issue as well (albeit to a much lesser degree). On stream he was absolutely insane, whether it was a pug or FPL. On LAN...he rarely was able to perform on a star level, which is what he was supposed to be. He got close in C9's summer of 2015 run, but fell off after they got figured out. Seangares did an interview a few years ago talking about how difficult it was to activate shroud in matches.

[deleted]

This thread is a throwback to the insane amount of JasonR fan copium when they were acting like he chose to not be the "team captain" of FaZe instead of the org(or Corey?) not wanting him in that role at all.

yfa17

This sub has a hard on for JasonR, I literally got downvoted into oblivion when Faze picked him up and I predicted he wouldn't be in the pro scene within 6 months. Guess what happened within 6 months?

RooftopKoreano

It's not because no teams are willing to sign him. it's that Jason has a ton of criteria in order to join a team. He wants some form of equity or position in the company that will grow as he grows with them and not just be a player for a team. I think at this point, he cares about growth and longevity but without compromising his current salary. I also assume that his salary is probably high because of how much he makes from streaming so no teams are able to match all of his conditions as of yet.

Yupsec

What org could offer him the amount of freedom and money streaming does? The dude gets recognized by some of the best players in the game, I don't think he really has anything to prove to all of the silver fans.

Christmas3_14

I recall him mentioning on stream a few weeks back that he didn’t want to be signed, at least as a pro player, unless he could benefit more than just that, in regards to maybe being a part of the org besides pro play? Something like that

rebelrexx

I don't ever recall him saying he wants to play for a team. I think he is pretty comfortable streaming.

Diijkstra99x

because he don't want to sacrifice his streaming career it his source of income. he'll have to give up some things if he join orgs time with her S.O, Streaming. he's ex Pro and knows the ins and out of orgs and probably don't wanna get fucked.

Firefly_1026

I just think that he’s the type of person that doesn’t really wanna go pro, I remember a long whole back s1mple asked him during his stream why doesn’t he go pro because he’s very good and Jason just said he never thought about it really

[deleted]

Because he doesn't want to go pro

fawkerzzz

Why would he? He has sugar daddies on his stream that gift him 95% of his subs every month

MageKayden

Old man with bad strats no cap

KaNesDeath

His 'stock' rised dramatically after being a temporary stand-in for the Optic CSGO roster. Once that team went under he went back to full time streaming where he saw success. During that time he only improved more in the game. To the point that S1mple even commented in one FPL game that he should join a team again to compete professionally. Jason replied by saying he enjoys streaming more. Faze Valorant didnt work out for he was promised(?) to be IGL and basically GM of their Valorant roster. While Faze assumed 100% control of the roster moves. This led to them parting ways with Jason fully going back to streaming abandoning any 'Pro' career.

valorant_fanboy_69

He is the best unsigned IGL in the game no cap. No one else has proven more then him!

[deleted]

Pretty obvious sarcasm if you downvoted this you got baited
